When Lin Qingyou woke up, she had no idea what time it was.
She originally thought that Yin Hanyu must have already gone to work.
However, he was still lying beside her. As if sensing her movement, he pulled her tightly into his embrace without even opening his eyes.
Lin Qingyou suddenly chuckled. She reached out her small hand, pinched his chin, and poked him, saying, “Still pretending? If you keep acting, I’m going to hit you.”
Only then did Yin Hanyu slowly open his eyes.
His gaze was filled with tenderness and indulgent love. “What are you laughing at?”
He had expected her to be angry when she woke up—angry at him for tormenting her so much last night.
Yet, this little girl was actually laughing.
And that smile seemed full of mischief and teasing.
Lin Qingyou snorted, “Can’t I laugh at you?”
Yin Hanyu’s face instantly darkened. “…”
What did he have to do with those two words?
He turned over and pinned Lin Qingyou beneath him, his gaze turning dangerously sharp. “Qingyou, who was the one begging for mercy nonstop last night?”
“Hmph…” Just the mention of last night made Lin Qingyou angry, so she wanted to “retaliate” against him.
With solid reasoning, she said, “In the CEO romance novels I read, the female lead ends up just like me—so exhausted she can’t get up. But the male lead still gets up bright and early to go to work. Yet here you are, still lying in bed. That means you must be too tired to get up.”
Yin Hanyu: “…” ???!!!
“Hmph, no comeback, huh?” Lin Qingyou muttered, “Every time I wake up, you wake up later than me. You’re even worse than I am.”
Yin Hanyu was both amused and exasperated. He pinched her chattering little lips and bit them hard.
He said, “If I got up and went to work, a certain little thing would wake up, not see me, and definitely call me a heartless scumbag who just leaves after getting what he wants.”
Lin Qingyou: “…”
She quickly covered her face.
Because, well… she imagined the scenario—and yeah, that’s exactly what she would do.
After what he put her through, if she woke up and he wasn’t there, she would absolutely be furious.
Yin Hanyu pried her hands away and picked her up like a baby.
Lin Qingyou thought he was about to do that again and immediately tried to escape.
But Yin Hanyu grabbed her delicate ankle and pulled her back, his tall figure looming over her. “Where are you running?”
Lin Qingyou instantly sensed danger. “You’re not allowed to! I can’t take it anymore!”
Yin Hanyu chuckled, “I was just going to help you get dressed. Relax, your husband isn’t that much of a beast.”
Lin Qingyou gave him a skeptical look. “…”
If he had said that before last night, she would have believed him.
But after last night? Not a chance.
Hmph.
At that moment, Lin Qingyou still felt like all the strength had been drained from her body. She was weak and sore all over, to the point where even lifting a finger felt like a luxury.
This exhaustion made her obediently lie in bed, not wanting to move at all.
So when Yin Hanyu helped her put on her clothes, she didn’t even resist.
After all, what’s done is done. What shouldn’t have been done was also done.
At this point, she just wanted to laze around.
Lin Qingyou lay there quietly, letting Yin Hanyu carefully dress her piece by piece.
Yin Hanyu, on the other hand, handled each button and sleeve with the utmost care, afraid of hurting the delicate little person in his arms.
Once she was fully dressed, Yin Hanyu didn’t say a word—he simply picked her up and carried her straight to the bathroom.
Inside the bathroom, he carefully squeezed just the right amount of toothpaste onto her toothbrush and turned on the faucet to prepare warm water for her.
The two of them stood side by side in front of the large mirror, their mouths full of foamy toothpaste bubbles. The sight was both silly and adorable.
When they caught each other’s reflections in the mirror, they couldn’t help but laugh together.
Their laughter echoed in the small bathroom, filling the space with warmth and happiness.
Just as they finished rinsing their mouths, Lin Qingyou playfully leaned in, intending to breathe on Yin Hanyu teasingly—only for him to pull her into his arms and kiss her deeply.
At that moment, the cozy and blissful atmosphere wrapped around them like the warm sun on a winter day, making them completely lost in it.
Ding dong… ding dong… ding dong…
The sudden sound of the doorbell rang out.
Lin Qingyou, still a little dazed from the kiss, blinked her big eyes in confusion.
Who could it be now?
Yin Hanyu wrapped an arm around her waist and led her out. “It’s probably the food delivery.”
“Food delivery?” Lin Qingyou pouted. “It’s so early in the morning, why would we order delivery?”
Yin Hanyu chuckled, “It’s already afternoon.”
Lin Qingyou: “…” !!!
This beast.
She had actually slept until the afternoon???
Yin Hanyu opened the door, and sure enough, it was the delivery guy.
He took the food box and set it on the dining table.
He had ordered a lot, filling the entire table.
With the aroma of the food wafting in the air, Lin Qingyou, feeling genuinely hungry, immediately picked up her chopsticks and started eating.
But after taking her first bite, she suddenly froze. “Wait, isn’t this from Yipin Pavilion?”
As he scooped soup for her, Yin Hanyu nodded.
Lin Qingyou frowned. “But they don’t offer takeout.”
Yipin Pavilion was the most prestigious private restaurant in the capital. It was high-end and exclusive, but the food was truly exceptional.
They didn’t allow takeout, nor did they let customers pack leftovers.
Their ingredients were too premium and fresh—if taken out of Yipin Pavilion’s specially designed environment, the dishes would lose their original flavor.
Yin Hanyu handed her a red date pigeon leg and said calmly, “Money can make anything possible.”
Lin Qingyou: “…”
But speaking of money, Lin Qingyou suddenly scrutinized Yin Hanyu.
“I heard that the core departments of the Yin Corporation are still under your father and Yin Yixuan’s control. So what exactly do you do there?”
Yin Hanyu never seemed like someone who could be ordered around.
Could Yin Haoting and Yin Yixuan really boss him around?
Yin Hanyu said, “I’m in charge of drone research and development, a department my uncle founded independently. Not only do Yin Yixuan and Yin Haoting have no say, even the old man can’t interfere.”
“Your uncle?”
Wasn’t that the President?
Lin Qingyou immediately patted her chest in shock.
Yin Hanyu chuckled, “You’ve never even met him. Why are you so scared?”
“He’s the President! Who wouldn’t be scared?”
“You don’t have to be afraid of him…”
Yin Hanyu suddenly pulled out an exquisite box and handed it to Lin Qingyou. “This is a gift from him for you.”
Lin Qingyou was instantly dumbfounded.
The President sent her a gift???
She let out a tiny hiccup in shock.
Dear heavens, what did I do to deserve this???
“You… you… must be joking, right?”
“I’m not joking,” Yin Hanyu replied, motioning for her to take it. “He really sent it. Last night.”
Lin Qingyou took the box and looked at Yin Hanyu. “Are you and your uncle close?”
“He once saved my life…”
Back then, when he was gravely injured and on the verge of death, it wasn’t Ming Yu who saved him.
It was Lan Si.
