Chapter 113: Ming Yu, You Can’t Die!

“Where’s Ming Yu?” Lin Qingyou called Ming Yu’s phone, but it was turned off. After searching everywhere, she still couldn’t find her. “Where did Ming Yu go?”

“Yin Xiaosan, I’m asking you—where’s Ming Yu?” Lin Qingyou started to panic.

Yin Yichen shook his head. He had also searched everywhere but couldn’t find her.

Lin Qingyou frowned. “Aren’t you Ming Yu’s partner? How do you not know where she is?”

Yin Yichen: “…”

He had been watching the drama unfold elsewhere.

But Ming Yu was never someone interested in such spectacles.

In fact, after she entered the banquet hall and saw Ruan Lan, she kept staring at her.

What was so interesting about an old woman like Ruan Lan? He preferred gossip and drama.

Meanwhile, Yin Hanyu immediately activated the tracking function on his watch to contact Ming Yu.

But there was no response.

“How is this possible?” Yin Hanyu frowned.

“What’s wrong?” Lin Qingyou grew even more worried upon seeing his expression.

Yin Hanyu’s frown deepened. “I can’t reach her.”

Their watches were specially designed—far superior to regular phones and tracking devices.

Typically, there were only two possibilities for losing contact:

  1. Ming Yu had deliberately disconnected it.
  2. Someone was using more advanced satellite interference technology.

But now that they had lost contact with Ming Yu, which possibility was it?

Yin Yixuan had originally rushed to the hotel, furious upon hearing that Ming Yu had attended the banquet with Yin Xiaosan.

But as soon as he arrived outside, he saw Ming Yu driving away.

Without a second thought, he jumped into his car and chased after her.

Halfway through, his car ran out of gas.

“F**k…” Yin Yixuan cursed in frustration. He was about to call his subordinates to bring fuel.

But then, an image flashed in his mind—Ming Yu and Yin Yichen, dressed to the nines, attending the banquet hand-in-hand.

“F**k…” His anger skyrocketed.

He immediately dialed Ming Yu’s number, but her phone was unreachable.

“Fk… fk…”

Frustrated, he called Yin Yichen instead, yelling, “Yin Xiaosan, get over here and pick me up right now!”

Yin Yichen was confused at first when he received his second brother’s enraged call. But when he realized Yin Yixuan had run out of gas while chasing Ming Yu, he saw an opportunity.

Bringing Yin Hanyu and Lin Qingyou along, they went to find Yin Yixuan.

When they arrived, they saw him pacing alone on a remote road in the outskirts. His steps were unsteady, and the cold wind pierced through his thin clothes, making him tremble all over—he looked utterly pitiful.

But the moment Yin Yixuan saw Yin Yichen, there was no relief—only a burst of fury in his previously dull eyes.

Clenching his fists tightly, his arm muscles tensed as he charged straight at Yin Yichen, seemingly ready to punch him.

“Yin Xiaosan, are you f**king insane? How dare you steal from me?!”

“Who stole from you?!”

Yin Yichen shouted his innocence while dodging, quickly hiding behind Yin Hanyu. “Brother, help me! Save me!”

He knew it—his second brother lost all reason when jealous!

“Yin Hanyu, get out of my way—”

“Enough. This isn’t the time for fighting.” Yin Hanyu’s expression turned serious. “Ming Yu is missing. Are you sure she came this way?”

“What?!” Yin Yixuan’s heart clenched. “What do you mean, missing?”

Lin Qingyou quickly explained the situation.

Yin Yixuan’s heart sank. He glared at Yin Hanyu, Lin Qingyou, and Yin Yichen. “If anything happens to Ming Yu, I won’t let you off!”

Setting aside his jealousy, Yin Yixuan jumped into the car.

The four of them searched anxiously. Outside the car window, rolling hills passed by, but there was no sign of Ming Yu.

Time ticked away, hours slipping by, but she was nowhere to be found.

Yin Yixuan’s anxiety grew stronger, fear and unease consuming him.

Finally, they found Ming Yu’s car.

Yin Yixuan immediately jumped out and ran toward it. “Ming Yu—”

But it was empty.

There was no sign of her inside.

A wave of terror crashed over Yin Yixuan.

The cruel feeling of hope being ripped away hit him like a sledgehammer.

Yin Hanyu patted his shoulder. “Now isn’t the time to panic. Don’t scare yourself. Keep searching—”

“Ming Yu is smart, and she’s strong. She’ll be okay.”

They continued their search.

Time slipped into the dead of night. The surroundings grew darker and eerily silent, and Yin Yixuan’s emotions were on the verge of collapse…

Ming Yu, you can’t be in trouble!

Ming Yu, if you dare leave me again, I won’t forgive you.

Ming Yu, I admit defeat, okay…

Ming Yu, I beg you, stop scaring me…

Ming Yu, you must be okay!

Ming Yu, you have to be okay!

Yin Yixuan prayed desperately in his heart.

And as if the heavens had heard him—

After a long, agonizing search, they finally found Ming Yu at the end of a secluded path.

She looked terrible.

She was gravely injured.

Her face was deathly pale, cold sweat dripping from her forehead. She clutched her abdomen tightly, struggling to walk, each step filled with pain.

Her body trembled uncontrollably, swaying as if she could collapse at any moment.

Seeing this, Yin Yixuan panicked and sprinted toward her.

But just before he reached her, the worst happened—

Ming Yu could no longer hold on. Her vision blackened, and she collapsed forward, rolling into the tall grass beside the road.

“Ming Yu—!”

Yin Yixuan’s heart-wrenching cry echoed through the night.

He rushed to her side, carefully pulling her out of the grass.

And then—

He saw it.

The gaping, gruesome wound on her abdomen.

It was like a bloodthirsty maw, devouring her life.

The ground was soaked in red—like blooming flowers of death, exuding a suffocating terror.

In that instant, a tidal wave of fear crashed into Yin Yixuan.

His breath quickened, his eyes blurred with unshed tears.

His body trembled uncontrollably, and his voice shook with fear and despair.

His words were a mix of pleading and command.

“Ming Yu… you can’t die…”

“Ming Yu, you damn woman, open your eyes and look at me!”

“Ming Yu, I was wrong, okay? I beg you, don’t leave me…”

“Ming Yu, wake up! If you wake up, I’ll do whatever you want…”

“Ming Yu, didn’t you want me to apologize to Yin Hanyu? If you wake up, I won’t just apologize—I’ll kneel before him if that’s what it takes!”

His desperation deepened as he grabbed her shoulders and shook her weak body.

“Ming Yu, I forbid you to die!”

But no matter how much he called her name, Ming Yu remained unresponsive.

Yin Yixuan felt as though he had fallen into an icy abyss, his entire world collapsing around him…
