Chapter 269

ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー

Speaking of new business, when I first came here, I liked to enjoy the alcoholic beverages that were commonly available in the town, such as Milan fruit wine or ale and stuff.

It turned out all of the beverages I used to buy were made by the farmers themselves. So did the dried meat and pickles that I bought at the market.

It would be extremely inefficient if each farmer had to conduct individual research and production on their own.

So, while the town was still at its earliest stage, I approached the farmers and invested around 6000 gold coins to build a food and brewing company while I was recruiting the third wave of immigrants.

In other words, I wanted to introduce the concept of ‘public company’ to the people.

From the total cost of 6000 gold coins to start the company, 3600 gold coins came from me and 400 gold coins each came from Sarasa, Iris, Alan-san, Bavarian-sama, King Gernika and Baron Alpendre. Which meant, I would hold more than 51% of the shares.

Well, this is more like a side hobby rather than a new business venture to be honest. I’m doing this for my own sake.

I would share everything I knew about drinks and food. Like wine, sake, liquor, brandy, whiskey, Japanese spirit, vodka, craft beer, smoked food, Vienna sausages, yakiniku, shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, ramen and many more. Then, I planned on making them do the rest of the research.

I appointed Arnold-san, who was a prominent figure among the farmers, as the president of the food and brewing company. As for the accounting department, I asked Volga-san to introduce me to someone.

I planned on leaving all financial and business administration aspects to them. I wanted to take it easy as the major shareholder and investor of the company. (Of course I wouldn’t just let them be right on the go. I would give them some input to make sure they had a solid ground before taking my hands off from them.)

I started this company because I wanted to enjoy all kinds of delicious things without having to do all the research myself. However, if I became too busy, so much so that I couldn’t enjoy my meal in peace, everything would be in vain then.

If the company became successful enough and able to generate profits, the profits would be given to each stockholder based on the percentage of their shares.

It’s a public company after all.

T/N: This is more relatable. No matter how much of a foodie MC is, I HIGHLY doubt MC knows how to make all of that stuff. Unless MC is a chef… But I don’t think even a chef knows how to make different kinds of liquor…
