Before he could finish speaking, a sudden sharp pain shot through his backside—someone had jabbed him hard with a needle! Wang Tiezhu didn’t hold back; the silver needle, as long as a finger, was buried halfway into the guy’s butt cheek.
This faker was finally in real pain!
A scream of agony erupted from his mouth.
Like a spring-loaded mechanism, he shot up with a loud whoosh, yelling in a high-pitched voice that sounded almost feminine. He jumped and flailed around the floor, shrieking:
“Ahhh! F***! F***! That hurts like hell!
Why the f*** did you stab my ass with a needle?! Damn, I feel like you just poked the s*** out of me!”
The guy was hopping around like a monkey, cursing non-stop. He must have been so worked up that even the thick foundation on his face was starting to crack. Where was the sickly pale complexion he had earlier?
Damn, he was even more energetic than a baby monkey!
His face contorted in rage, eyes wide with fury, looking as if he wanted to bite someone. But Wang Tiezhu just smiled and said,
“Huh? Your stomach doesn’t hurt anymore? Your face doesn’t look pale now either. You’re even walking just fine!”
“Huh?”
The furious “patient” suddenly realized his mistake. He quickly forced himself to hunch over again, clutching his stomach and groaning.
“Owww… Owww… My stomach still hurts so bad…”
What a lousy act!
Wang Tiezhu didn’t bother playing along. Instead, he turned to the gathered crowd and announced,
“Everyone, did you see that just now?
This guy isn’t sick at all! He’s faking it to scam the pharmacy for money—he even demanded 100,000 yuan!
You all have eyes; I don’t need to explain who’s right and who’s wrong here, do I?”
The crowd immediately erupted.
“Oh wow! So he was faking it all along! Look at him bouncing around, healthier than my grandson!”
“What a nerve, asking for 100,000! Some people are shameless!”
“I can’t believe I accused the pharmacy wrongly! This guy’s a total fraud!”
The mood completely shifted.
The family members who had been making a ruckus earlier—so arrogant and demanding compensation—suddenly shrank back like deflated balloons. Wang Tiezhu turned to the leader of the group and said,
“Well? Got anything to say now?”
The man gritted his teeth and refused to back down. “Y-You’re talking nonsense! Who’s trying to scam anyone?! H-He really did have a stomachache! You’re the ones bullying us!”
“Heh…”
Wang Tiezhu sneered. Some people just won’t admit their guilt until they hit rock bottom. Without another word, he turned to Li Linglong and said,
“Ling-jie, call the police. Let’s see if they’ll still be so tough once they’re sitting in a jail cell.”
Li Linglong immediately pulled out her phone and dialed.
“Noooo!!!”
The faker panicked first. His face turned deathly pale—this time, for real. Without hesitation, he dropped to his knees before Li Linglong, pleading desperately.
“Please don’t call the police! I… I’m not sick! I was faking it! That guy told me to pretend so we could scam the pharmacy! We’re not even related…
Goddess, please! I was wrong! I was wrong!”
That confession was all it took. The other so-called “relatives,” sensing the tide turning, collapsed like dominoes, dropping to their knees one after another.
Crying and wailing, they looked like they were mourning the death of their parents!
The gang leader saw the situation spiraling out of control and tried to slip away. But Wang Tiezhu was faster. Just as the guy turned, Wang lifted a foot and kicked him to the ground.
With a chilling glare, Wang growled,
“Stay put. Move even an inch, and I’ll break all five of your legs.”
The man instantly caved. He grabbed Wang’s leg and sobbed,
“Big brother, please have mercy! I was blind! I was stupid! This is my first time scamming someone—please just let me go! I’ll be as good as a fart and disappear, okay?!”
First time? Yeah, right.
“Scram!”
Wang Tiezhu kicked him aside in disgust. “Damn, now you’ve dirtied my pants. Stay down, or I’ll beat the crap out of you.”
Fifteen minutes later, the police arrived, led by Officer Lin. The moment they understood the situation, they loaded the scammers into the police van.
“Damn, Wang Tiezhu,” Lin Qing said, walking over with her arms crossed. “Why is it that trouble follows you wherever you go?”
Wang Tiezhu rolled his eyes. This woman must have bad blood with me or something.
He thought to himself, I haven’t even slept with you, yet you’re treating me like a lifelong enemy.
With a smirk, he replied, “Hey, if anything, Officer Lin, this bad luck is because of you. Weren’t you the one who sent me to Linglong Pharmacy?”
“You—”
Lin Qing gritted her teeth. For some reason, she just couldn’t stand this guy’s smug face.
“Wang Tiezhu, I’m warning you—don’t let me catch you slipping, or you’ll regret it.”
“Oh nooo, I’m so scared!”
Wang clutched his chest dramatically, but his face was full of mischief.
Li Linglong, watching from the side, giggled. To her, the way these two bickered seemed less like enemies and more like… flirting.
With a teasing smile, she said, “Xiaoqing, wow! When did you and Tiezhu start dating? You two are sneaky!”
Lin Qing’s face turned red.
“Linglong, what nonsense are you spouting?!
I’d never fall for this toad! Even if all the men in the world died, I wouldn’t look at him!”
“I feel the same way!”
Wang Tiezhu nodded seriously. “Even if you were lying naked on my bed, begging me, I wouldn’t lift a single toe.”
“WANG TIEZHU! I’LL KILL YOU!!!”
Lin Qing lunged at him like a madwoman.
Wang easily dodged, casually saying, “Officer Lin, your subordinates are waiting. You should focus on getting the criminals back to the station.”
Lin Qing’s chest heaved with fury—quite the eye-catching sight—before she pointed at him and growled,
“Just wait, Wang Tiezhu. This isn’t over!”
With a dramatic turn, she stormed off.
Wang watched her go, his gaze drifting to her waist and, uh, certain other assets.
“Not bad,” he muttered.
Once the crowd had dispersed, Li Linglong chuckled, “Tiezhu, you sure have guts, flirting with Xiao Qing like that. You’re in for trouble.”
Wang shrugged. “Ling-jie, you saw it yourself. She started it. I was just defending myself.”
Li Linglong giggled. “I never knew you were such a jokester.
Honestly, Tiezhu, we owe you big time today. If we had fallen for their scam, we wouldn’t have just lost money—our pharmacy’s reputation would’ve taken a hit, and that’s something money can’t fix.
How should I thank you?”
She leaned in slightly.
A faint floral fragrance drifted from her.
Wang’s brain short-circuited, and before he could stop himself, he blurted, “Ling-jie, how about a kiss?”
“Oh? Sure.”
Li Linglong’s lips curved into a sultry smile. Without a hint of shyness, she leaned in, offering her right cheek.
“If you dare,” she whispered, “Ling-jie won’t stop you.”
There was something… dangerous about her tone.
“Hehe…”
Wang chuckled nervously, scratching his head. “Ling-jie, I was just joking.”
“Hmph!”
Li Linglong scoffed, “As expected, you—”
“Ah! Ling-jie, there’s a bug on your shoulder!”
Li Linglong flinched, glancing down instinctively.
SPLAT!
Wang Tiezhu planted a firm kiss on her cheek!
