Sweet and Seductive! Addicted to Being Spoiled by My Ex-Uncle Chapter 6

Chapter 6

“Are you developing feelings?”

Pei Yuning thought for a moment and confessed candidly, “I guess you could say I’m starting to have a little crush. I made plans to have dinner with him when I return to Jingbei.”

Song Qingyi asked, “Have you two chatted on WeChat yet?”

Pei Yuning: “…Not yet.”

“So is he trying to reel you in with a slow burn, or is he politely declining?” Song Qingyi pondered for a moment, then offered advice, “If the mountain won’t come to Muhammad, Muhammad must go to the mountain. If you like him, take the initiative and message him. Don’t just wait around.”

Pei Yuning: “Then I’ll ask him when he’s coming back to Jingbei.”

“Wait, wait.” Song Qingyi urgently raised a hand to stop her. “What if he’s already back? Are you just going to ditch me and have dinner with him?”

“You’re still my favorite, of course! You can pick any limited edition bags or jewelry you want, I’ll pay.” Pei Yuning said, “If I had him, what would I need ten or eight male models for?”

Song Qingyi shook her head resolutely, “One man isn’t enough. Compare a few options, then you’ll know what’s best. You need to be extremely discerning when it comes to men. Wait a whole day first, you can’t just passively let him reel you in.”

This made sense. Besides, Pei Yuning was a businesswoman at heart, and she preferred to be in control. So she decisively exited Shang Yanci’s chat window.

As they approached Yu Hua Manor, the driver stopped the car and interrupted, “Miss, Xu Wei is standing by the security gate.”

Pei Yuning leaned forward and looked out the window.

On her phone, Song Qingyi cursed, “Ningning, look behind you. I think Xu Wei brought some paparazzi with her, they’re squatting behind the tree.”

Pei Yuning glanced at the screen, then turned to look behind the car. Indeed, there was a paparazzi squatting behind a tree by the flower bed, wearing a green outfit.

The driver explained, “The old lady was very angry yesterday, she instructed that no one from the Xu family is allowed to enter. That woman went to the sanatorium in Y City last night, to avoid upsetting you, Miss.”

Pei Yuning felt a warm feeling in her heart. Her grandmother truly loved her. But the most important thing now was to let Xu Wei in. If she kept standing there, the media might speculate maliciously about the Pei family.

Ending the video call with Song Qingyi, Pei Yuning calmly instructed the driver, “Tell the security to delete the photos from the paparazzi’s camera, find out which media company they’re from, and give them a warning. I’ll let Xu Wei come up later. After we get out of the car, go inside and tell them to keep this quiet, I’ll handle it. Give the pear wine to Aunt Chen, have her store it properly.”

“Yes, Miss.” The driver sent a message to the security and drove the car to the gate.

Xu Wei heard the car horn and turned around.

Pei Yuning lowered the rear window, giving her a meaningful look. “Get in.”

Xu Wei glanced at the paparazzi behind the tree, walked over, opened the passenger door, and got in. Then she looked at Pei Yuning timidly and whispered, “I’m sorry.”

Pei Yuning seemed not to hear.

The Bentley drove into Yu Hua Manor. On one side of the road was a vast golf course, on the other side were training grounds for horseback riding, shooting, and martial arts.

After driving for another ten minutes, the scenery changed completely. Bamboo forests rustled in the wind, artificial rocks formed mountains, and standing in the middle of the Koi Lake, with flowing water forming streams, the sound of water was clear and melodious. The black pillars in the covered walkway were all inscribed with poems by famous calligraphers, written in gold, dignified and solemn.

This was still a distance from the main house. Pei Yuning asked the driver to stop the car and got out. Xu Wei was unsure of her intentions, so she followed suit.

“Slap!”

Just as Xu Wei was about to speak, Pei Yuning slapped her.

Her face burned with pain, tears welled up in her eyes, and Xu Wei fell to her knees.

Pei Yuning slapped Xu Wei not because she was entangled with Shang Heng, but because she arranged for the paparazzi to deliberately take photos of her being unable to enter Yu Hua Manor, attempting to frame the Pei family as bullies.

Xu Wei: “I’m sorry about yesterday. I was drunk with Shang Heng, I don’t know how we ended up sleeping together. Don’t blame him, it’s all my fault.”

Too lazy to watch her act, Pei Yuning directly took out a detection device she always carried, pointed it at Xu Wei.

The device immediately beeped, Xu Wei’s face turned pale instantly, making the slap mark on her face even more prominent.

The recording device in her pocket and the miniature camera in her ear clip were found one after another by Pei Yuning, and thrown into the lotus pot placed on the bluestone bricks.

Two consecutive “plop” sounds, water splashed, ripples spread in layers, like two invisible slaps on Xu Wei’s face.

This kind of cheap trick was nothing in front of Pei Yuning. Her rosy lips curled up into a beautiful and arrogant arc, she smiled sweetly and asked, “Do you need me to help you take a photo and post it on Weibo?”

Xu Wei’s eyes were red, she stubbornly said, “It was a prop I forgot to take off from filming, I didn’t mean to.”

Pei Yuning even cooperated by nodding, following her words, “Then the paparazzi at the gate are also props? What kind of play are you filming? Reality show? Does it include your bed scene with Shang Heng yesterday? You’re really dedicated, a big star who dedicates herself to art.”

There was no need to kneel down anymore, Xu Wei rolled her eyes, used her hands to push herself up, and straightened her back.

But Pei Yuning easily pressed down on her shoulders, preventing her from getting up.

“You knelt down on your own, I didn’t tell you to get up, you have to stay kneeling.” Pei Yuning didn’t know what funny thing she thought of, she laughed, “You’re still too impatient compared to your aunt.”

Xu Wei’s chest heaved, as if she was furious, but after careful consideration, she still knelt down, “But you really don’t like Shang Heng, do you? You could have used this to get out of the engagement with Shang Heng, why did you let your second brother deliberately target me? Or are you trying to use this method to make Shang Heng think you have feelings for him?”
