Chapter 40: Watching a play, acting, and passively entering the play
As dusk approached, Nan Xian stood on a roof in the Han family’s backyard, looking through the window at Han Yue, who was muttering to himself.
“Sister, what’s so interesting about that?” Nan Li suddenly popped up, asking with confusion, still holding an unfinished pastry in her hand.
Nan Xian chuckled, “I called you here for a reason, Sister. I have a favor to ask of you, alright?”
Nan Li’s eyes lit up. Putting away the pastry in her arms, her small face turned serious.
“Sister says so, I will definitely do it.”
“The Sky Net Purple Spider bestowed upon you the ability to transform. I need you to disguise yourself as someone…”
Nan Li was surprised at times, thinking at others, and finally, her face was filled with schadenfreude.
“Sister, don’t worry, leave it to me.”
Watching Nan Li’s departing figure, Nan Xian also concealed her form and followed slowly.
Little Villain Raising Diary.
In a secluded courtyard in the Han family, Nan rongxue sat on a stone chair, chin in hand, her brows slightly furrowed.
“Where did Fifth Uncle go? I can’t find him anywhere.”
Just then, a young man appeared silently in the courtyard. “Lady’s.”
Nan rongxue didn’t notice anything aLady’s. She stood up, her voice pleading.
“Fifth Uncle, give me a little more time. Brother Han Yue is getting married in three months. I will definitely leave with you then. I will also find a way to get the soul map fragment.”
The young man exuded an aura of authority. Seeing a flash of a hem outside the courtyard, he lowered his voice, making sure the person outside could hear, and said, “I advise Lady’s to give up on Han Yue as soon as possible. Lady’s knew he had a fiancée, so she shouldn’t have targeted him from the beginning.”
He then said solemnly, “If Lady’s is unwilling to take action, the head of the family has ordered you to return home. No Han family member will be spared.”
Nan rongxue anxiously retorted, “No!”
“Lady’s, do as you please.” The young man disappeared from the courtyard.
At the same time, on the roof a hundred meters away, Nan Li returned to her own form, looking for praise.
“Sister, how was it? Did I act like it?”
Nan Xian smiled, “Little Li is very good. But why didn’t you ask Sister why she wanted you to do this?”
“Sister must have a reason for doing this.”
“What if I wanted to slaughter the entire Han family?”
Nan Li smiled, her expression innocent. “Kill them if you want. Anyone Sister wants to kill must deserve it.”
Looking at Nan Li, who was acting like a little witch, Nan Xian couldn’t help but ask the system:
‘System, isn’t Nan Li the protagonist of destiny? Her personality is problematic.’
A protagonist of destiny who has been swayed by the host will lean towards villainy.
Things were harmonious on this side, but on the other side, Han Yue was restless.
He had planned to go find Nan rongxue and explain that his fiancée was a good person and he only saw her as a sister.
But he saw that scene.
Nan rongxue, who had lived in the Han family since she was a child, had always been by his side. Was she after something from his Han family?
That young man, even his master couldn’t tell his cultivation level. If he didn’t get the ‘soul map fragment,’ would he really exterminate the entire Han family?
Han Yue walked along, his heart heavy.
The soul body floated in the air, stroking its nonexistent beard, guessing.
“That girl, Nan rongxue, has even more talent than your little fiancée. Nanrong… it reminds me of a family from the last world.”
“If it’s really them, kid, they could crush the Han family with just one finger.”
Han Yue was shocked. “What!?”
“Master, do you know what they’re talking about, this soul map fragment?”
The soul body murmured, “Soul map fragment… I didn’t expect those factions to still be trying to uncover that illusory secret after ten thousand years.”
“If the Han family truly possesses a soul map fragment, I advise you to hand it over willingly.”
Han Yue glanced at the courtyard in the distance, as if making a decision, and walked towards the family ancestral hall.
Two days later.
Nan Xian and her two companions were enjoying tea in the largest tavern in Yunzhong City when they heard a familiar voice from the next room.
“Did you hear that? When Han Yue comes, act according to what I said!”
“Yes, Young Master Nan.”
Nan Li, gnawing on a chicken leg, asked in confusion, “Isn’t that the little fat boy’s voice?”
Nanfeng waved his hand towards the wall next to him, and the scene inside the private room appeared before the three of them.
“Saintess, it’s Nan Qiong.”
Nan Xian glanced at it and said calmly, “It seems Nan Xiyan has informed her father and brother about her discovery. Nan Qiong will go and beat and insult Han Yue. After hearing about Han Yue’s talent, he will inevitably take action.”
“He should be here soon.”
Nan Li questioned, “No way. He’s the thorn in the side of all the cultivators in Yunzhong City now. Isn’t he afraid of being beaten to death with rotten vegetables?”
Nan Xian chuckled. Han Yue’s whereabouts were either deliberately arranged by Nan Qiong or revealed by Nan Xiyan. Otherwise, with the Nan family’s relocation, they wouldn’t have seen Nan Qiong plotting against Han Yue in the tavern.
Nanfeng waved his hand towards another side, revealing the scene in Nan Qiong’s private room.
Sure enough, after a while, a man wearing a straw hat appeared in the scene. The man removed his hat, revealing the so-called useless Han Yue.
Three private rooms, watching the play, acting in the play, being passively drawn into the play.
In Nan Qiong’s private room, their performance began.
“Young Master Nan, do we need to deal with that useless Han Yue? Lady’s Xiyan is the number one person in Yunzhong City. How can a useless person like him compare?”
As soon as the words were spoken, Han Yue on the other side froze, sitting quietly on a wooden stool, listening to the conversation from the next room.
“Yes, Young Master Nan. I don’t know what you’re thinking. You could have killed him, but every time you just give him a lesson. Now look, you’ve dragged your own sister into this.”
Nan Qiong seemed impatient. “Alright, alright, kill him? Why kill him?”
“If it weren’t for my elder sister insisting on marrying that guy, would I need to go through all this trouble to rekindle his fighting spirit?”
Someone questioned, “This… what does Young Master Nan mean?”
Nan Qiong sighed, “Forget it, the matter is settled.”
“A few years ago, when my elder sister went to the Lingxiao Sect, she told me to look after Han Yue. But that guy was always depressed and useless, a complete wimp.”
“He just lost his soul power. My Nan family is rich enough to support him, right? Seeing him so depressed and useless, I wanted to punch him a couple of times.”
“But my elder sister entrusted me with this. What could I do? I can’t just watch my future brother-in-law become a puddle of mud.”
Someone jumped in, “Oh! I get it!”
“So Young Master Nan told us to beat Han Yue, but not to cripple him, to stimulate his fighting spirit.”
“Then… Young Master Nan, will you still beat Han Yue in the future?”
Nan Qiong slammed his hand on the table. “Beat him, why not! We’ve already played the bad guys, so let’s go all the way.”
In the scene, the people in the two private rooms left one after another.
Nan Li turned her head and said in a daze, “Only an idiot would believe that reason?”
Nanfeng followed up, “So, there’s another act.”
Nan Li’s eyes lit up, “Sister, let’s watch the show.”
The next moment, the room was empty.
