Chapter 189: It Seems She Has Completely Hated Yin Hanyu
“Annoying, annoying, annoying… Taking this damn medicine every day is driving me crazy…”
“How much longer until we reach the shore?”
For the next few days, these words seemed to become Lin Qingyou’s catchphrase.
Every time the doctor came to check on her and give her medicine, she would angrily point at her own belly and complain nonstop.
She took the medicine reluctantly, grumbling all the while.
When Lin Zhiwei visited, Lin Qingyou clung to him, whining and pleading, “Dad, the medicine is too bitter. I don’t want to take it anymore. Can I stop?”
“Stop being childish.”
“How am I being childish?” Lin Qingyou frowned at the medicine in her hand and said angrily, “This medicine smells bad and tastes awful. I’m going to abort this baby anyway, and my stomach doesn’t hurt as much anymore. I might as well stop taking it. From tomorrow on, don’t let the doctor prescribe me any more medicine.”
Lin Zhiwei said, “The medicine isn’t for keeping the baby, it’s to make sure your body is strong enough for the surgery. If you go into the operating room weak, and something happens to you, what then?”
Lin Qingyou pouted but reluctantly swallowed the medicine.
She even secretly threw away a few pills behind Lin Zhiwei’s back.
Lin Zhiwei noticed her small action out of the corner of his eye but said nothing.
After keeping her company for a while, he left the room.
Outside, Lin Zhiwei asked Chen Jiang, “How much longer until we dock?”
A flicker of guilt flashed through Chen Jiang’s eyes. After hesitating for a moment, he replied, “Probably another three days.”
Lin Zhiwei gazed into the distance and didn’t notice the guilt in Chen Jiang’s expression.
Then, he suddenly turned and asked, “Do you think Qingyou has really lost her memory?”
“Of course she has!” Chen Jiang said with certainty. “Miss hates the baby inside her so much now. If she hadn’t lost her memory, she would rather die than let anything happen to the child.”
“That’s true…” Lin Zhiwei nodded.
Inside the room, as soon as Lin Zhiwei left, Lin Qingyou immediately crouched by the trash bin, retrieving the pills she had just thrown away. Then, she swallowed them.
She had gone to great lengths to get this medicine.
When she first woke up, she realized she was experiencing severe bleeding. Even though she told the doctor about it and complained of pain, they still didn’t prescribe her any medication.
At that moment, she understood—Lin Zhiwei didn’t want her baby to survive.
Of course. He had deliberately hit her stomach when he attacked her. Why would he allow the doctor to save the child now?
So, the only way to keep her baby was to pretend she didn’t care about it.
Otherwise, her child would be in danger.
After swallowing the medicine, Lin Qingyou quickly drank a few sips of warm water.
She took a deep breath, still shaken.
Baby, I’m sorry. You’re suffering because of me…
Luckily, the medicine the doctor finally gave her was effective.
Her stomach pain had eased, and the bleeding had improved.
She hated taking medicine, especially bitter ones.
But now, if this medicine could keep her baby alive…
No matter how bitter or disgusting, she would take it.
Lin Qingyou gently placed a hand on her belly and stroked it.
Baby, Mommy loves you so much.
Please be strong, just a little longer!
I will take you home!
—
For the next two days, Lin Qingyou made no suspicious moves.
She spent her time in her room, practicing acupuncture with silver needles.
Since Xiao Ya used to do the same, Lin Zhiwei didn’t stop her.
But when he left the room, he accidentally dropped a small bottle from his pocket.
He seemed unaware and continued walking away.
Suddenly, Lin Qingyou called out, “Dad, you dropped something…”
“What?”
Lin Qingyou walked over and picked up the bottle, but Lin Zhiwei immediately snatched it from her hands, looking defensive.
Confused, Lin Qingyou asked, “Dad, what’s inside? Why are you so nervous?”
“The antidote…”
“Antidote?” Lin Qingyou frowned. “Antidote for what?”
“Yin Hanyu hurt you. I couldn’t just let it go, so I carefully planned to poison him as revenge…”
Lin Zhiwei clenched the bottle tightly, as if it were his last bargaining chip. “This is the only antidote to the poison I gave him.”
“Without it, he won’t last long. And the pain will get worse day by day…”
Just as Lin Zhiwei finished speaking, Lin Qingyou suddenly made a lightning-fast move.
With one swift motion, she snatched the bottle from Lin Zhiwei’s hand.
Lin Zhiwei’s face turned pale. He was about to explode in anger.
But before he could say a word, something shocking happened.
The next second, Lin Qingyou, without hesitation, threw the bottle into the raging ocean!
“What are you doing?!”
Lin Zhiwei was stunned, eyes wide in disbelief.
He never expected her to be so ruthless—to destroy Yin Hanyu’s only chance of survival.
But Lin Qingyou only sneered coldly and said,
“That bastard Yin Hanyu ruined our lives. He should’ve died a long time ago!”
“I refuse to let anything exist that could save him.”
“I want Yin Hanyu dead!”
Her words were filled with hatred, her expression resolute.
If Lin Zhiwei had harbored even a shred of doubt about her memory loss before, he no longer did.
After witnessing her actions, he was convinced.
It seemed his brainwashing had worked well…
Lin Qingyou had truly, completely hated Yin Hanyu.
—
After this incident, Lin Qingyou was allowed to move freely around the cruise ship.
However, she didn’t wander much.
She still spent most of her time in her room, practicing acupuncture.
—
That night, as usual, Chen Jiang brought Lin Qingyou her dinner.
As he was about to leave, Lin Qingyou suddenly called out to him.
“Miss, do you need something else?”
Lin Qingyou walked toward Chen Jiang step by step.
“Why hasn’t our ship reached shore yet?”
A flicker of unease flashed across Chen Jiang’s face. “The weather’s bad. There’s thick fog, so we had to slow down.”
“Really?” Lin Qingyou said casually. “My father transferred all his wealth into your account. Right now, you’re the one holding a massive fortune.”
“That’s because the boss trusts me…” Chen Jiang scratched his head, pretending to be humble.
“If I were you,” Lin Qingyou said with a meaningful smile, “I wouldn’t stay under someone else’s control. I’d take all this wealth and enjoy life on my own…”
