Chapter 58: Proud Scholar x Elite Lawyer 16
At the finish line of the race.
Xie Qingjia leaned against his car, casually running his fingers through his hair, exuding a wild and unrestrained beauty.
He glanced at his friends with a nonchalant air, “Let’s go, we’re heading to the Nightshade Bar for a gathering.”
Tao Yi looked at his laid-back friend and playfully nudged the carefree Xie Qingjia.
“Are you going to the bar to play around? Your partner at home won’t mind?” His brother hadn’t been to a bar since getting married, strictly controlled by his sister-in-law.
Will the young master at home let Xie Qingjia go? He better not pop out and scare everyone!
Xie Qingjia crossed his arms, “He’s still handling things in France, no time to manage me. It’s the perfect chance for us to have some fun.”
If not for this, he wouldn’t have dared to race and drink, given how strictly Oberon usually controlled him.
Oberon was always afraid he would cause trouble outside and get himself into a mess.
“Brothers, are you in?”
Tao Yi sighed with relief, “Alright, let’s go and have some fun with you.”
Xu Er, in his blue shirt, patted his chest with great enthusiasm, “If the Young Master commands, I dare not refuse.”
“Let’s go, Young Master Xie is treating us tonight.” Chen Si smiled and hooked his arm around Tao Yi’s shoulder, laughing and joking with the other young masters.
“Let’s go, let’s go, we’ll treat Young Master Xie to a welcome back and clear away any bad luck.”
“We haven’t gathered like this in years, it’s time we did.”
The young masters from various families got into their sports cars and followed Xie Qingjia and Tao Yi away from the race track, heading straight to the bustling and noisy Nightshade Bar.
Nightshade Bar.
Led by Xie Qingjia, a group of young masters walked into the bar, each of them smiling, drawing the attention of the bar’s patrons.
“What’s the occasion today? So many people!”
“These young masters seem to be from prominent families in the capital, they’re no strangers to this place.”
“Look! That man in red is so beautiful.”
“Damn! Who is he?”
“To be able to pull off such a flashy red and still look so devastatingly handsome, he must be someone special.” A man who was about to stand up was pulled back by his friend, unable to move forward.
He pushed his friend, “What are you doing?”
His friend glared at him, “What am I doing? I should ask you what you’re planning!”
“I was just going to strike up a conversation and join in the fun.”
“Are you blind!” The man’s friend sighed in exasperation, “Don’t you think you should consider who this person is and how he managed to gather so many young masters?”
“Brother, use your brain. This man must have a lot of clout to pull off such a grand entrance!”
“Wait, I’ll take a picture and ask my family. We don’t want to get into trouble with someone we can’t afford to offend.”
The two men quietly sat back down, watching the group go upstairs along with everyone else.
The collective entrance of this large group of young masters stunned even the bar owner.
He hurried over, “Third Young Master Tao, are you here for a gathering?”
Tao Yi put his arm around his friend’s shoulder and introduced him to the bar owner, “This is Second Young Master Xie. He’s treating us to drinks tonight, just bring us your best.”
“Right, find us a larger private room.”
The bar owner nodded repeatedly, “Sure thing, I’ll have Xiao Liu take you to the number one room on the fourth floor. It’s guaranteed to satisfy everyone.”
Tao Yi led Xie Qingjia upstairs, saying as they walked, “You haven’t been back in four years. You better drink to your heart’s content with us this time!”
“Drinking is no problem.” Xie Qingjia pushed Tao Yi away, his long fingers gently pressing against Tao Yi’s hand on his shoulder, “But if you cause trouble, I’ll make you regret it.”
Tao Yi clicked his tongue, immediately losing his enthusiasm for calling over pretty girls to sing and dance.
“Tell me, why did you get married so young? You can’t even have fun anymore.”
“Third Tao!!” Xie Qingjia put his hand on Tao Yi’s shoulder, subtly squeezing, a smile that didn’t reach his eyes, “Watch out, or you might end up in a ditch you can’t get out of.”
Tao Yi drew in a sharp breath, “Second Xie, you’re too rough.”
“I’ll teach you to talk back.” Xie Qingjia slapped Tao Yi’s hand off his shoulder, his eyes like pools of spring water.
“Ha ha ha, I’ll say it, I’ll say it.”
“You come here! Third Tao!”
“Only a fool would stand still and let you hit him.”
Amidst their playful banter, they reached the private room and stopped arguing.
