Chapter 278

ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー

As I looked down, I could hear a deep, rumbling sound going on for a long while.

Apparently, the behemoth was advancing towards us at a nonchalant pace, completely unbothered by the ‘Firewall’.

But this is fine. Now’s our chance to hit back while the dragon is letting its guard down.

Finally, the sensation of my skin getting pricked by something subsidized. The side effect of the dragon’s eyes attack had disappeared.

I stared at the behemoth, the dragon had a sly smile on its face.

Now!

At that moment, a bottle of position suddenly appeared mid-air (or so it appeared to my naked eyes) and the bottle flew into the behemoth’s mouth. But, the poison bottle got stuck between the behemoth’s teeth, not showing any sign of budging.

Fortunately, the behemoth hadn’t realized it had a bottle of poison stuck between its teeth.

Now it’s time to go with Plan B.

“Juno! Hijin! Teeth! Poison!”

Upon my signal, we all went according to the plan we had devised before. We advanced in a vertical formation with Juno hiding in the shadow of Hijin-san, the fighter type.

Hijin-san then braced himself, jumping as high as he could and slashed the behemoth’s neck. The attack was a success but the attack was actually a decoy. Our real goal was the poison bottle.

Distracted by Hijin-san, the behemoth activated its Dragon Eyes attack at him. Getting the full blown of the dragon’s attack mid-air, Hijin-san got hit by various mental ailments. He looked confused and then became petrified in a weird stance. He looked like he was doing a triple axel.

No, I think that must be a quadruple axel…

And then, Hijin-san fell to the ground.

Making full use of Hijin-san’s sacrifice, Juno thrusted his sword straight at the bottle stuck between the dragon’s teeth.

With the behemoth having its mind fully focused on Hijin-san, Juno was able to embed his sword deeply into the dragon’s mouth. The poison bottle shattered, eliciting a high-pitched sound.

Juno pushed his sword along with the poison bottle right into the behemoth’s throat and he kicked the dragon’s chin before scurrying away.

For a moment, the behemoth just stood there. He didn’t seem to realize what had happened but then, suddenly the dragon writhed in pain. The behemoth thrashed around for a few moment before it stopped moving.
