Chapter 17
Scrap Yard Treasure Hunt 3
Chen Jian: “Lanyan, my mom told me you’re always running out. That’s not good.
You’re a young girl, you shouldn’t be going out so often. It’s much better to stay home and do housework and sew clothes.”
Tie Lanyan: ???
What? Does this guy live by the sea? Why is he interfering so much!
What era is this? Still promoting the idea of being demure and virtuous?
Before, she thought Aunt Ma was nice, but now she has no good feelings left.
Having a son like this, his mother probably isn’t much better either.
“Don’t bother yourself, I have things to do. I’m going now.”
Tie Lanyan didn’t want to waste her breath on him, she turned to leave.
But Chen Jian grabbed her arm:
“Hey… wait… I haven’t finished speaking…”
Tie Lanyan shook his hand off, her eyes becoming cold:
“I don’t know you well, there’s nothing to talk about.”
Chen Jian frowned: “We’ve been neighbors for years, how can you say we don’t know each other?”
Tie Lanyan rolled her eyes in annoyance.
“Alright, stop beating around the bush, spit it out!”
Chen Jian’s face turned a little ugly.
“You… you’re so rude, you don’t act like a girl at all.”
He kept rambling on and on without getting to the point.
Tie Lanyan really wanted to give him a good slap, but she held back.
She had just pretended to be weak in front of the police this morning, if she hit someone now, it wouldn’t look good.
“None of your business, mind your own business!”
Tie Lanyan couldn’t hit him, so she could only use her words to fight back.
Chen Jian was also a little angry: “I was just being kind, don’t say things so rudely.
My mom always praises you in front of me, saying you’re obedient and sensible. Now it seems you’re not like that at all.”
Tie Lanyan: “It doesn’t concern you what kind of person I am. Good dogs don’t block the road, move aside!”
Tie Lanyan was about to leave, Chen Jian tried to grab her arm again.
Tie Lanyan shot him a cold glare:
“Chen Jian, you’re grabbing me on the street, that’s harassment! Do you believe I’ll report you!”
As soon as she said that, Chen Jian’s face turned pale with panic.
“I didn’t do anything… don’t talk nonsense!”
“Tsk! Coward!”
Tie Lanyan sneered and strode away.
This unpleasant little incident didn’t affect Tie Lanyan’s treasure hunting mood at all.
This time, she went to the scrap yard in the north of the city, but found nothing.
Not that she didn’t find anything, she still collected some books to pass the time.
But she didn’t find anything valuable, like gold fish, antiques, or paintings.
Maybe she just wasn’t lucky!
“Good luck comes, good luck comes, good luck brings joy and love. Good luck comes, we have good luck, welcome good luck, prosperity and wealth, all over the world”
Tie Lanyan hummed the song “Good Luck Comes” hoping to bring herself some luck.
North city scrap yard, here I come!
This time, the goddess of fortune still didn’t appear.
Tie Lanyan wasn’t discouraged, she continued to the next scrap yard.
However, as soon as she arrived at the scrap yard, the old man guarding the gate closed the iron gate.
Oh, it was already evening, they were going to rest.
But this didn’t affect Tie Lanyan at all.
A small piece of wire could solve the problem.
What? You say taking something without asking is stealing?
Tie Lanyan admitted, she was stealing, openly and honestly.
She had experienced the end of the world where killing was commonplace, Tie Lanyan didn’t have any moral qualms.
People, you have to be a little selfish.
Tie Lanyan successfully entered the scrap yard.
She rummaged around for a while and actually found several good things.
A yellow rosewood dressing table missing a leg, a famous painting hidden in a broken porcelain vase, and a set of sapphire jewelry in a dusty old chamber pot.
These few items combined were worth at least a few million!
Heh, this trip wasn’t in vain after all!
Tie Lanyan slipped out of the scrap yard.
Not long after she left, she heard several voices in a small alley.
The short guy said: “Boss, are you really going to throw the stuff on this cart into the scrap yard and burn it? It’s such a waste.”
The burly man with broad shoulders and a thick neck said: “Waste? That capitalist dog is dead, these are all his things, they must be burned!”
Another person said: “There are a lot of collectibles in there, we found them by accident in the cellar. If we secretly sell them, no one will know.”
The burly man glared: “Are you looking for death? Who dares to collect these now? If you get reported, you’ll be in trouble. Don’t say things like that anymore!”
The man sighed: “Yeah, you’re right. Now these are just a bunch of junk, they’re not worth anything.”
The short guy said with a bitter face: “If I could sell them for ten pounds of rice, I’d sell them. My family is about to starve.”
The man chimed in: “Yeah, it’s better than nothing. We’ve been working hard all day.”
The burly man frowned.
Brow, and hesitated: “Maybe… we should go to the black market?”
The short guy scratched his head: “This cart is too conspicuous, if we’re caught, we’re done for.”
After a while, the burly man spoke in a low voice:
“If… we could sell these things without anyone knowing, that would be great.”
As soon as he finished speaking.
A strange cry suddenly rang out: “I’ll help you!”
The three men were startled.
They saw a shadowy figure in black flash before their eyes.
A second later, the figure, the cart, and everything on it disappeared, leaving only a pile of things on the ground.
The three brothers were stunned.
“…B…boss…we…did we just meet a ghost?”
The short guy was so scared he couldn’t speak properly.
The burly man frowned, looking around vigilantly.
Another man stepped forward to check.
When he saw that the things on the ground were rice and flour, his face lit up.
As soon as he said that, the short guy and the burly man were stunned.
The three of them didn’t care about anything else, they quickly picked up the food on the ground and ran.
This was precious food, nothing could compare.
As they ran, they discussed who the shadowy figure was.
In the end, they all came to the same conclusion:
It must have been a god who heard their voices and came to help them.
Tie Lanyan, who was called a god, was standing in her space, laughing with her hands on her hips.
“Hahaha, so much money, I’m rich, I’m rich!”
