Chapter 93
“Old Cai, what are you looking at?”
Cai Qingyuan stood at the stairway on the second floor, looking at the crowded customers below, until he was interrupted by a voice beside him.
It was the store’s craftsman and his friend, Liu Wentao.
Liu Wentao followed his gaze and smiled slightly.
“Ever since we introduced that sportswear, business here has been incredible. Just the orders I have in hand are almost booked for the next three weeks.”
“It seems like our store has never been this busy.”
Even Cai Qingyuan couldn’t help but feel a bit emotional.
“Yeah, just this month’s sales are already comparable to the last three months combined. It’s really because you had the foresight to buy the design for the sportswear.”
Liu Wentao echoed, admiring Cai Qingyuan’s bold decision to spend a thousand yuan on the design blueprint.
Cai Qingyuan’s gaze flickered slightly, as if thinking of something, his expression becoming more complex than ever before.
After a brief silence, Liu Wentao spoke again, “But it seems like Rongfu is starting to make a move too. They’re designing a new sportswear style, probably because they don’t want to see us dominate the market.”
Both stores are in the garment business, and Rongfu is stronger in terms of scale and staff. Even if they don’t have their own new designs yet, it’s only a matter of time before they copy their styles and designs.
Cai Qingyuan had already thought of this, and Liu Wentao’s words confirmed his suspicions.
For years, the competition between them and Rongfu has been fierce. Whenever one side released a new design, the other side would quickly follow suit.
It’s because of this that neither of their stores had advanced much over the years.
“Maybe we really should do what that girl suggested—create our own brand.”
Only by establishing a brand can their new products become the one true “authentic” version.
Liu Wentao was momentarily stunned, not quite understanding what he meant.
“Old Cai, what did you just say?”
Cai Qingyuan exhaled and turned to look at him. “Yesterday, I had a long chat with Ye Yao. That girl gave me a huge surprise. I’ve been hesitating from yesterday until today, but I think her idea might actually be right.”
“Ye Yao? The chubby girl who designed the sportswear?” Liu Wentao clarified.
Cai Qingyuan nodded. “Yes, that’s her.”
“What did she tell you? Something that’s got you so preoccupied?”
Cai Qingyuan suddenly stood upright, the hesitation on his face disappearing, and he even seemed to be slightly excited.
“I’m not troubled anymore, I’ve made my decision. Wentao, we’re still in our prime, we shouldn’t just stand still. It’s time to take the next step!”
Liu Wentao was even more confused, but Cai Qingyuan wasn’t planning on explaining further.
He was already eager to start planning the future development of the business!

“Wang Ge, um, I need your help with something.”
Ye Yao jogged back and happened to see something in Wang Shun’s yard that immediately caught her eye.
For the first time, she actively walked in.
Wang Shun was somewhat surprised, as they didn’t usually have much contact.
Although in recent days, her mother and daughter had clarified many things, and their reputation in the compound had improved a bit, they still weren’t really close.
“What’s the matter?”
If it’s something too complicated, he certainly wouldn’t agree to it.
