Chapter 18: Did She Marry the Qin Family Heir?

Song Qing’an’s breath hitched, his heart pounding. This was the first time Chuchu had so directly expressed her longing for him.

After hanging up the phone, Sheng Jinchu felt a surge of heat coursing through her body.

Song Qing’an had intended to tease her, but when she hung up, he didn’t feel upset at all. Instead, a smile spread across his face, making the executives present exchange bewildered glances.

They had never seen their CEO smile so gently!

Could that have been a call from his wife?

After putting down the phone, Song Qing’an addressed the sales manager who had just finished his report. “Good work. Keep it up. Your salary will increase by 10% next month.”

The sales manager was speechless.

He had expected a demotion, but after the CEO took a phone call, he was given a raise!

The remaining departments, seeing their CEO in such a good mood, scrambled to present their reports.

Lu Xuyang thought to himself, “I need to get on the good side of the Mrs. If I follow her lead, there’s money to be made. It’s been three years since I got a raise! Maybe I should talk to the CEO about it later.”

The head of the planning department, noticing the CEO’s excellent mood, took the planning proposal that had been rejected multiple times and knocked on the CEO’s office door.

He had braced himself for another rejection, but the CEO said, “Good job. Take it.”

After their phone call, Sheng Jinchu and Song Qing’an snuggled into bed and fell asleep.

The crew was having a dinner gathering that night, and she had to put up with that hypocritical person.

Li Jiameng woke her up at the right time. “Chuchu, get up quickly. We’re going to the dinner gathering. It’s not good to be late!”

Sheng Jinchu rubbed her eyes, still drowsy.

After getting ready, Li Jiameng said, “Chuchu, I won’t be joining you for dinner tonight. You take Leng Feng and Leng Yun with you, and follow Qin Yiyuan.”

She reminded her again, “Chuchu, don’t drink too much, or I’ll tell Mr. Song.”

They joked for a while before Qin Yiyuan arrived.

The group arrived at the dinner venue, and everyone was there except Wang Qiwen.

Director Yu was curious when he saw them arrive together. “Why are you two together?”

Sheng Jinchu quickly explained, “We bumped into each other downstairs and came in together.”

Before she could finish, a mocking voice cut through the air. “Some people just can’t admit to seducing Young Master Qin. Shameless!”

It was Wang Qiwen again, a persistent nuisance!

Qin Yiyuan was about to retort, but Sheng Jinchu stopped him. She looked at Wang Qiwen coldly and replied, “Did you eat shit? Your mouth is full of it!”

Wang Qiwen said, “I saw you get out of Young Master Qin’s car. Why won’t you admit it?”

Sheng Jinchu countered, “Just because I’m in his car, it’s seduction? I might as well say you’re seducing the director!”

She then smiled at the director, “Right, Director? She came in your car, didn’t she?”

She then sneered at Wang Qiwen, “Eat less salt, you’re getting too worked up! And, brains are a good thing, but you don’t have them!”

The director… caught in the crossfire! He had told her that his driver was on leave, so she had to take his car. He wished he had just ignored her!

She was always causing trouble!

The director quickly tried to mediate. He didn’t want to offend either of them, especially since Wang Qiwen’s sponsor was investing in the film. “Qiwen, it’s your fault! You two should have a drink together.”

Although Wang Qiwen’s sponsor was investing in the film, Sheng Jinchu was the daughter of the Sheng family, and he didn’t want to offend her!

Wang Qiwen was furious, her hand clenching around her assistant’s arm, squeezing tightly. The assistant, Wang Lili, winced in pain but didn’t dare to cry out. She just endured it silently.

Seeing that the two women couldn’t stand each other, the director sighed.

The dinner proceeded in this awkward atmosphere.

The director gave a speech first, followed by the assistant director.

Throughout the evening, Sheng Jinchu didn’t eat much. She was unhappy, missing A Qing, and annoyed by certain people!

After the feast, everyone got up and headed back to their hotels. Sheng Jinchu still rode in Qin Yiyuan’s car, and Wang Qiwen wanted to take the director’s car, but Director Yu refused and drove away quickly!

Wang Qiwen cursed at the car, then had to hail a taxi to go back to her hotel!

Sheng Jinchu saw the abandoned Wang Qiwen as she got in the car. She teased, “Oh, you didn’t succeed in seducing him? The director ran away!”

Qin Yiyuan whistled at Wang Qiwen, “Senior Wang, get in my car.”

Wang Qiwen’s face lit up, but then she heard Qin Yiyuan say, “Never mind, you’re not worthy of riding in my car.”

Leng Feng and Leng Yun gave Qin Yiyuan a thumbs up from the back.

Wang Qiwen’s face turned pale with anger. In the end, she took a taxi.

After returning to the hotel, Sheng Jinchu found Li Jiameng watching TV in the living room, wearing pajamas, waiting for her.

After Leng Feng and Leng Yun returned to their room, they immediately reported to their master about the Mrs.’s day, adding a little embellishment to the story of how Wang Qiwen had targeted their mistress.

Back at her hotel, Wang Qiwen was filled with malice. She called her assistant, Wang Lili, and asked, “Did you find out what I asked you to?”

“Her sister, Sheng Jin Yan, doesn’t get along with her. Sheng Jin Yan’s fiancé is her ex-boyfriend! Sheng Jinchu married to cover up the scandal!” Wang Lili finished in one breath, then glanced at Wang Qiwen’s face.

Wang Qiwen’s eyes were full of malice. She shook her head. “That woman is no match for me! We can’t rush into anything! Even though she’s not favored in the Sheng family, we still need to plan carefully! We can’t let her find any leverage against us!”

Wang Lili replied, “Yes, sister.”
