Transmigrated into the Apocalypse: Hoarding Ten Billion Supplies and Clinging to the Villain’s Thigh Chapter 5

Chapter 5: Overseas Stockpiling (Part 2)

Feeling frustrated about not being able to acquire firearms in Country M, Shu Xin compensated by purchasing double the originally planned amount of petroleum and diesel in Country W, exceeding her budget significantly.

Since she couldn’t obtain firearms, she could at least stock up on fuel to soothe her regrets.

Shu Xin didn’t stay long in Country W. She always had an unsettling feeling that an armed assailant could appear out of nowhere at any moment. Without any sense of security, she left immediately after receiving her oil shipment and flew to her next destination—Country A.

Country A had a highly developed livestock industry, making it the ideal place to stockpile fresh meat and poultry.

It wasn’t until she started making purchases that Shu Xin realized the astonishing variety of pig, cattle, and sheep breeds. She didn’t get every single breed available but made sure to buy more of the most delicious ones.

She sought out the three largest farms in Country A, all of which had fully integrated production lines. This meant she didn’t need to find separate factories to process the meat—every animal was freshly slaughtered, ensuring maximum freshness.

She had the farm owners cut the meat into portions, vacuum-seal them, and store them accordingly. Since she paid generously, they even agreed to slice some beef and lamb into thin cuts while skewering others upon request.

Since her space dimension could support livestock, she also acquired a batch of live animals, ensuring they had both males and females to allow for natural reproduction.

Her next stop was Country H, known for its advanced dairy industry.

Shu Xin swept up an array of dairy products—cheese, butter, fresh milk, yogurt, cream, condensed milk, and powdered milk—leaving nothing out. She especially focused on the country’s most famous milk powder, stocking up for every stage of life, from infants to the elderly.

She had to plan for her future. What if she had children one day? No matter what, it was always better to be prepared.

Continuing her journey, Shu Xin traveled across several European countries, purchasing each nation’s specialty products. In Country F, she even managed to buy out half the inventory of several famous wineries.

It wasn’t that she didn’t want to buy everything—it was that they refused to sell her the entire stock. If they did, they would face supply shortages, which would significantly impact their brand. Reluctantly, she let it go.

Finally, she arrived in Country D to pick up the cars she had previously ordered, marking the end of her European tour. With summer vacation nearing its end, Shu Xin boarded the last flight before returning home.

Country T

Along the way, Shu Xin had stockpiled an abundance of supplies—staple foods, vegetables, fruits, snacks, meats, seafood, and even exotic delicacies from land, sea, and sky. Anything she saw and thought of was now stored in her space dimension.

The only thing missing was rice. Shu Xin had her heart set on fragrant jasmine rice from Country T and the various rice varieties from Country Q. She wouldn’t settle for anything less than the best for her favorite food, which was why she made this final stop in Country T.

As she boarded the flight home, her overseas stockpiling mission came to a perfect conclusion.

The moment Shu Xin stepped out of the airport and set foot on home soil, she felt a long-lost sense of reality. When she finally entered her house, a wave of exhaustion from continuous travel, combined with the relief of being home, overwhelmed her entire body.

She indulged in a hot bath, allowing her muscles to fully relax. Then, she curled up under her blanket and immediately drifted into a deep sleep.

By the time she woke up the next day, it was almost noon. Checking her phone, she saw several missed calls—one from her renovation team and two from Shu Liangjun and Shu Hanyan.

Tsk. It seemed her “dear uncle” had assigned people to keep an eye on her residence. After all, she hadn’t informed anyone about her return, yet he still found out.

“Hello, Mr. Peter,” Shu Xin called her contractor first, unbothered.

“Oh, the lovely Miss Shu Xin! You finally returned my call. The house renovations are complete, and all requested materials have been placed in the designated rooms. When would you like to inspect the house?”

“How about 3 PM today? Mr. Peter, you sound so eager—did you land another big project? Such an indifferent attitude toward me, it’s truly heartbreaking.”

Peter’s exaggerated, humorous tone lifted Shu Xin’s mood, and she playfully teased back. The contractor laughed heartily in response.

The moment she hung up, a call from Shu Liangjun came through. With an annoyed sigh, she answered.

“Hello, Xin’er! Why didn’t you tell your uncle you were returning? I could’ve sent your aunt and Hanyan to pick you up from the airport.”

“Well, I didn’t say anything, yet Uncle still knew, didn’t he? You truly have eyes and ears everywhere.”

Unlike before, Shu Xin didn’t bother pretending to be polite. Her tone was icy and devoid of warmth. Caught off guard, Shu Liangjun hesitated for a moment.

“Xin’er, Uncle is only looking out for you. We’re family—why would I ever harm you? Everything I do is for your own good. You need to understand my intentions.”

Perhaps irritated by being called out, Shu Liangjun’s voice grew louder, as if volume alone could mask his guilt.

“Enough. Let’s drop the pretense. I don’t have time for pointless chatter. If you keep sending people to tail and monitor me, I’ll report it to the police every single time. If the authorities show up at your office asking questions, it’s your reputation and business that will suffer, not mine. I couldn’t care less.”

Seeing that Shu Liangjun still wanted to feign innocence and use family ties as an excuse, Shu Xin cut through his facade without mercy, tearing down his hypocritical mask.

“You think you’ve grown wings and can threaten me now? Don’t forget, you’re just a helpless orphan with no one to back you up! I have countless ways to make you hand over your money obediently!”

With his disguise shattered, Shu Liangjun flew into a rage, shouting furiously—completely different from his usual virtuous facade.

“You better think twice before you act. I have evidence of your tax evasion and corporate espionage. If you don’t want to rot in prison, don’t mess with me.”

“Don’t even think about silencing me to protect your secret. I’ve already made backups of all the evidence. If I go missing for more than a week, everything will be sent to the police automatically.”

Without giving Shu Liangjun another chance to speak, Shu Xin hung up. Even a second longer of entertaining his deceit would make her sick.

On the other end, Shu Liangjun was so furious he smashed his phone against the wall and kicked over his office chair. Yet, despite his rage, there was nothing he could do—he was powerless against her now.

Having him spy on her was the final straw. Shu Xin still needed to continue stockpiling supplies domestically, and if someone kept tailing her, they’d eventually notice something was off.

She wouldn’t allow such a major security risk to linger. Not now, not ever.
