He tilted his head toward Su Yan. “Be careful. I’ll be back soon.”

Su Yan nodded slightly. “I know.”

He descended from the rooftop to the ground and approached the woman who had achieved immortality in the dead of night.

“Speak. What trick did you use to ascend to immortality?”

The woman in pink took two steps back but quickly regained her composure. “I am now an Earth Immortal. How dare a mere demon like you question me!”

Su Yan coldly curled his lips. “An Earth Immortal? I’ve even dared to kill an Immortal Emperor. Who do you think you are! Now, tell me how you achieved immortality!”

His face darkened as he glared at the woman, who was clearly lacking confidence. Before she could respond, he suddenly sensed a faint demonic aura emanating from the house.

Su Yan waved his hand, shattering the barrier outside the master bedroom, and swiftly entered the sealed room. There, he saw a white mouse demon lying on the bed, gradually dissipating.

The white mouse demon gazed at its mistress in the courtyard, slowly transforming into white motes of light.

“What did you do?” Su Yan teleported out and grabbed the pink-clad woman by the throat. “How did the white mouse demon you married die with his soul disintegrating?”

The woman struggled against the hand on her throat, her voice hoarse. “It was all his choice. It has nothing to do with me…”

Su Yan tapped her forehead with his finger. “If you won’t speak, I’ll find out myself.”

Golden light emanated from his fingertip, quickly extracting all her memories.

From these memories, he uncovered the truth, and his eyes grew increasingly sharp.

“You dared to use dark arts to steal the essence of demons, using their spirits to aid your ascension to immortality!”

If demons lost their most vital seven orifices’ essence, they would die, just like the white mouse demon, whose soul scattered, leaving no chance for reincarnation.
