Chapter 11: I’m Married
After a moment of excitement, Yu Nanzheng took out his marriage certificate and took a picture of it from every angle. He directly sent it to the family group chat.
The Yu family group chat exploded.
Everyone was filled with question marks.
Yu Nanzheng typed out a full screen message: I’m married.
He was smug and arrogant.
He wanted everyone to know he was married.
Jian Hongyou returned to Tanxiyuan No. 1 and immediately changed her Weibo login password. The company knew her old password.
Then she called Wang Jie.
“Wang Jie, I’ve terminated my contract with Feifan.”
Wang Jie hadn’t received any notice from the company yet. She was surprised and shouted.
“How did you do it?”
“I’ve found a powerful backer.”
“Who did you latch onto? Youyou, you didn’t do anything stupid, did you?”
Wang Jie was worried, afraid that Jian Hongyou had followed some rich tycoon for money.
She treated Jian Hongyou like her own child, and she couldn’t bear to see her suffer such injustice.
Jian Hongyou touched her nose. “I got married.”
Wang Jie was still processing the last message when Jian Hongyou dropped another bomb on her.
Wang Jie screamed on the spot.
“Ah!!!”
Jian Hongyou rubbed her ears.
Her manager was completely out of control.
“Jian Hongyou, you better explain yourself. What’s going on?”
Jian Hongyou hung up the phone decisively.
Wang Jie was so anxious she was pulling her hair out.
Jian Hongyou had piqued her interest but wouldn’t explain, driving her crazy.
She thought about how the news of Jian Hongyou’s marriage would be a huge scandal if it got out to the fans.
The biggest taboo for an artist is getting married. Marriage means losing fans.
She really didn’t understand Jian Hongyou.
Her position in the entertainment industry was already precarious, and she chose to get married at this time.
She was crazy.
Guan Huai instructed his assistant to investigate Jian Hongyou’s marriage.
He wanted to know if she was really married, if she was lying to him.
Whether she was married or not, there was definitely a man helping her.
He wanted to know who this man was.
The assistant investigated for a while and came back to Guan Huai dejectedly.
“Mr. Guan, I couldn’t find anything.”
Guan Huai secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
He couldn’t find anything, which meant Jian Hongyou wasn’t married, she was lying to him.
He waved his hand at the assistant.
“Go down.”
Jian Hongyou heard the sound of a car from the courtyard downstairs and looked out the window.
It was Yu Nanzheng’s Rolls Royce.
A long leg stretched out from the car, the shiny leather shoes stepping onto the ground.
Yu Nanzheng stood in the courtyard and suddenly looked in her direction.
Jian Hongyou wasn’t embarrassed about getting caught, she smiled and greeted him.
“Hi! Husband, you’re off work.”
Yu Nanzheng’s mind went blank again.
He knew that Jian Hongyou was joking with those two words, but he couldn’t help but be excited.
Jian Hongyou turned around and went downstairs.
When she reached the first floor, Yu Nanzheng just entered the house, and the maid took his coat.
Jian Hongyou walked towards him with a cheerful pace.
Yu Nanzheng had helped her a lot today, and her impression of him had changed drastically.
Jian Hongyou put her arm around Yu Nanzheng’s neck, like good buddies, and walked towards the living room together.
Butler Liu was stunned.
Did the young master and the young mistress really get their marriage certificate today? They weren’t just sworn brothers?
Yu Nanzheng was a bit naughty. Even if Jian Hongyou treated him like a buddy, he was happy. This was the only chance to get close to her.
They sat down on the sofa, and Jian Hongyou didn’t let go of him.
She said sincerely, “Yu Nanzheng, thank you today! Luckily you reminded me, and you had the lawyer come with me, so I could successfully terminate the contract.”
Yu Nanzheng had a smug look on his face, like he had done a good deed and was waiting to be praised.
“How are you going to thank me?”
This question stumped Jian Hongyou.
She didn’t have any money right now, she couldn’t even afford to treat Yu Nanzheng to a meal.
“I’ll owe you for now. When I get rich, I’ll treat you to dinner.”
Yu Nanzheng was speechless. “I don’t need your dinner.”
Jian Hongyou clicked her tongue. Yu Nanzheng lived in a palace-like place, he definitely didn’t lack money.
“How about this, you think of something. As long as it’s not too outrageous, I’ll agree.”
“What’s considered outrageous?”
Jian Hongyou thought for a moment.
“Like, asking me to sleep with you, that kind of thing.”
Jian Hongyou couldn’t imagine what it would be like for her and Yu Nanzheng to lie in bed together.
It would definitely be bizarre.
Yu Nanzheng felt a pang of disappointment in his heart, but he pretended to be tough. “You’re thinking too much. Who wants to sleep with you! Even if we take off our clothes and lie in the same bed, I wouldn’t feel anything for you, I’d just laugh.”
Even though Jian Hongyou didn’t want to sleep with Yu Nanzheng, she was inexplicably annoyed by his blunt rejection.
She pushed him away, and Yu Nanzheng was caught off guard and fell onto the sofa, looking a bit ridiculous.
He gritted his teeth and shouted, “Jian Hongyou!”
Jian Hongyou thought about how he would be her backer in the future, so she immediately put on a smile.
She reached out to help him up and even straightened his clothes.
“Sorry, I got a little carried away. But you couldn’t beat me in high school, and you still can’t beat me now. I touched your body, your muscles are pretty strong, how can you still be pushed down by me? You need to work out more, don’t be a pretty face.”
Yu Nanzheng: “…”
“Jian Hongyou, I was letting you win back then. Who said I couldn’t beat you!”
“Heh, you can argue all you want, it won’t change the fact that I pinned you to the ground and beat you up.”
Yu Nanzheng didn’t argue with her.
Only Jian Hongyou would think he couldn’t beat her, a girl.
How could that be possible?
He was deliberately letting her win.
Although it was embarrassing to be pinned to the ground and beaten by Jian Hongyou, it was one of the few opportunities to get close to her.
He was in pain but happy.
Butler Liu walked over and said, “Young master, young mistress, dinner is ready. Please come to the dining room.”
The two sat opposite each other at the long table.
Jian Hongyou was munching on lamb chops.
The lamb chops were grilled to perfection, with a sizzling sound when you took a bite, incredibly fragrant.
Yu Nanzheng saw her finish one and put another one in her bowl.
But Jian Hongyou didn’t dare to eat it.
“I’m not eating anymore. If I get fat, I’ll be sprayed by the fans if they catch me.”
Even though Jian Hongyou was hungry, she still had some sense.
Yu Nanzheng didn’t force her.
“You terminated the contract with Feifan, what are your plans now?”
Jian Hongyou reluctantly put the lamb chop back.
“I’ll find another agency, of course.”
“Do you want to go to Fengxing Media?”
“Can I?”
Jian Hongyou’s mouth was about to split to her ears.
Fengxing Media, the biggest entertainment company in the industry, was a subsidiary of Hengsheng Group.
It gathered a bunch of veteran actors, new-generation actresses, and idols.
It was a powerhouse.
The few big dramas they produced every year were all produced by Fengxing Media.
She had dreamed of going to Fengxing Media.
She had planned to try out for Fengxing when her contract with Feifan expired.
Now the big boss was offering her an olive branch.
How could she not accept it?
Yu Nanzheng’s lips curled slightly. “You owe me two favors, I’ll remember them, I’ll ask you for them later.”
“Yes, yes, yes, I’ll repay your kindness. It’s just that I have nothing now, I’ll repay you when I get rich.”
“You said it, don’t forget.”
“I won’t, I’m an honest and trustworthy person.”
“Good, go to Fengxing to sign tomorrow.”
