Chapter 144: The Sunshine Beta and the Obsessive Alpha 10

Saturday.

After several days of preparation, Xu Jiayan finally brought his boyfriend home.

Of course, Xu Jianan recognized He Xu’s identity at first glance.

He Xu, the head of the He family from District A of Seldora  Star.

Xu Jianan frowned as he looked at the fierce alpha who was deliberately trying to appear gentle. He disliked this man from the bottom of his heart.

However, seeing his younger brother smiling brightly beside He Xu, he didn’t show his displeasure outright. Instead, he welcomed them into the house with a smile.

“Mr. He, please have a seat. I’ll go prepare the meal.”

He Xu offered, “Let me help you.”

Xu Jianan waved his hand, “No need, you’re a guest. How could I let you do the work?”

Damn it, if I stay in the kitchen with you, I’m afraid I might not be able to resist grabbing a kitchen knife to hack at you.

He glanced at the beta behind He Xu, “Just take care of Xiaoyan.”

Is my future brother-in-law this hard to please?

Before He Xu could engage in further small talk, Xu Jianan had already entered the kitchen to prepare lunch.

Xu Jiayan had timed his return perfectly to coincide with lunch. In truth, he had been hesitating for a long time before finally mustering the courage to come home. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have arrived just in time for the meal.

He Xu had witnessed Xu Jiayan frantically psyching himself up in the car earlier, and he had thought that Xu Jiayan’s brother might not even let him through the door!

To his surprise, he was welcomed inside.

However, he couldn’t shake the feeling that Xu Jiayan’s Omega brother was a bit strange. Although the man clearly disliked him, he didn’t show it outright.

That dislike wasn’t just the straightforward aversion that came from him being in a relationship with Xu Jiayan; it was more of a psychological aversion to the alpha identity itself.

From what he knew, Xu Jiayan’s Omega brother had never been intimately involved with any alpha. Most of his friends were Omegas and betas.

This aversion to alphas was truly peculiar.

He Xu glanced back at Xu Jiayan, who was nervously sipping water on the sofa, and then at Xu Jianan, who was noisily chopping meat in the kitchen, busy preparing lunch.

A strange feeling lingered in his heart.

He shook his head, dismissing his thoughts, and walked over to sit beside Xu Jiayan.

“Xiaoyan, does your brother approve of me now?”

Xu Jiayan pulled He Xu to sit down, “I think my brother probably approves of you.”

He tilted his head playfully and smiled, “I knew it! My brother would definitely support me being with the person I love.”

He Xu gently ruffled the young man’s hair, “Your brother must really care about you to be like this.”

Xu Jianan clearly disliked alphas, but seeing that his younger brother was happy, he forced a smile and accepted He Xu.

This could only mean that he truly adored his younger brother, even to the point of loving what his brother loved.

Xu Jiayan proudly lifted his chin, “Of course! My brother is the best brother in the world! You’ll have to help me protect him in the future.”

He Xu nodded with a smile, “Alright.”

The He family had considerable influence, so protecting one Omega wouldn’t be too difficult.

“Lunch is ready, let’s eat!” Xu Jianan called out to the two in the living room. As he brought the dishes to the table, he glanced at the two who were sitting close together.

The way they leaned on each other made it obvious they were a sweet couple in the midst of their honeymoon phase.

Xu Jianan, who wanted to break them up but was afraid of making his younger brother heartbroken, secretly clenched the chopsticks in his hand.

Sigh, why did my brother have to fall for an alpha!

He Xu straightened Xu Jiayan’s clothes and gently said to the beta he loved, “Let’s eat. After lunch, I’ll play games with you.”

Xu Jiayan nodded cheerfully.

Xu Jianan silently observed their interactions, and his initial resistance and aversion to his brother bringing home an alpha boyfriend gradually lessened.

He admitted that he didn’t like alphas, but he sincerely hoped that his younger brother could be happy.

As long as his brother was happy, he, as an older brother, could also accept an alpha brother-in-law.

Xu Jianan, who had initially wanted to give He Xu a hard time, couldn’t bear to put his younger brother in a difficult position between himself and his boyfriend. Thus, the meal went smoothly.

Xu Jianan didn’t object to He Xu and Xu Jiayan’s relationship. He only reminded He Xu to take good care of and protect Xu Jiayan.

He Xu naturally agreed.

Even if Xu Jianan hadn’t said anything, he would have done so anyway.

Protecting his dear wife was his duty. How could he not be attentive to it?
