Su He’s words were so polite that the uncle felt embarrassed and replied, “Okay, if you have any problems in the future, just come to my house. My house is two houses behind yours.”

Su He started to prepare the ingredients and cut the meat. He planned to make braised pork.

Then wash the vegetables and stir-fry them.

Before that, she had exchanged a few more eggs in the space, planning to have each of the three of them eat an fried egg tonight.

After making sure the rice was cooked, Su He took the rice pot out of the fire pit. At this time, pressure cookers and electric rice cookers are rarely used in rural areas. Maybe they are not yet popular, so everyone still cooks rice in iron pots by burning fire.

After adding firewood, the washed pot was placed on the fire pit.

To make braised pork, the first step is to blanch the meat. Add appropriate amount of clean water to the pot, put cold water into the pot, pour in pork belly and appropriate amount of cooking wine. Bring to a boil over high heat, skim off the foam and set aside.

The second step is to stir-fry sugar color. Heat a large pot slightly, pour in an appropriate amount of cooking oil and add rock sugar. Stir-fry over low heat.

Then pour the pork belly into the pot and stir-fry quickly. Coat each piece of pork belly with sugar color.

At this time, the fragrance had already spread everywhere. The two children rushed into the kitchen immediately after smelling the fragrance, looking at the braised pork in the pot with shining eyes.

“It’s almost ready. You can eat the meat now.” Su He said to the two kids.

“Mom, mom, I want to eat meat.” Niu Niu had never smelled such fragrant meat. Even if there was meat before, it was just boiled in water and didn’t have much taste.

“Okay.” After Su He finished speaking, he took a pair of chopsticks, picked up a piece of braised pork, blew on it near his mouth, and then handed the meat to Niu Niu’s mouth.

Niu Niu swallowed the meat in one bite and shouted, “It’s delicious.”

Su He had already picked up the second piece of meat and let Zizi try it as well.

“Delicious, mom.” The baby finally stopped having that serious face of a little adult.

“Okay, Mom will stir-fry a little more and then we can eat. You guys go out and play first.” Everyone here was cooking with fire, so sometimes there was a lot of smoke in the house and it was very irritating to the eyes. Su He didn’t want the two of them to stay in the kitchen for so long.

“I want to stay with my mother.” Niu Niu didn’t want to go out to the living room. She was getting more and more attached to Su He.

Although Zizi didn’t say anything, he didn’t go out either.

Su He had no choice but to let them sit on the small stools beside the low table while waiting for their meals.

After that, stir-frying vegetables and frying eggs was much faster. After placing all the food on the low table and serving the two little ones, Su He said, “It’s time to eat.”

Fortunately, the table was low, so the two kids could pick up any food they wanted. Their goal was the same, they went straight for the bowl of braised pork.

Both kids started eating very hard. After taking a few bites, the youngest suddenly said, “Mom, can we still eat these things in the future?” His tone was expectant and serious.

“Of course, we can eat it often in the future. Mom promises you.” Su He said with a smile.

“Yeah yeah yeah, I can eat such delicious meat and eggs often in the future.” Niu Niu said excitedly.

Seeing the two of them happy, Su He couldn’t help but smile.

After eating, Su He started to boil water for the two children to bathe.

The weather in the countryside is still very cold at night, so Su He directly cleaned the big wooden barrel at home and let the two children sit in it to wash together.

She used the points in her space to redeem some toiletries, so now she uses baby shower gel and shampoo on her two children.

When washing Niu Niu and Zai Zai’s hair, Niu Niu asked, “Mom, why does this thing smell so good? I don’t think I’ve ever seen it before.”

“This is something Mom hid before, and she’s taking it out now to use.” Su He replied with a smile.

The two children did not doubt Su He’s perfunctory explanation. The main reason was that they were too young. When they saw their mother taking out so many things they had never seen before, they didn’t have many doubts.

Finally, the two kids were washed and smelled nice, and Su He immediately wanted to take them to their own room.

She has been busy all day and hasn’t even checked on the two kids’ rooms yet.

She made the bed tidy again before carrying the two children to bed.

After getting on the bed, both kids seemed very excited and started jumping up and down on the bed.

Su He smiled and said to them, “You two, be careful. Mom is going to take a shower first.”

When she was bathing the two kids just now, she also boiled some hot water, so they could take a shower directly now.

“Okay, go ahead, Mom.” Both kids looked very excited.

Su He picked up a set of loose clothes from the closet and went to take a shower.

I have to do a big cleaning tomorrow. The house is so dirty and messy, and many clothes were not washed and were stuffed directly back into the closet.
