Apocalypse Arrival: Little Zombie, I Just Hoard, Hoard, Hoard!
Apocalypse Arrival: Little Zombie, I Just Hoard, Hoard, Hoard! Chapter 27: The Joy of Unpacking Deliveries

Great.

Qin Luo liked straightforward people like this! But he still had to remind them, “Currency doesn’t work like this anymore. Who knows if you’ll be able to exchange it in the future? You shouldn’t keep spoiling them. You can’t rely solely on yourselves for the journey ahead.”

Liu Chunhui nodded, thanked him repeatedly, and expressed her relief at finding the main survivor group.

She asked a few more questions about the survivor base and was reassured to learn that everything was running smoothly—just under a different system with a new way of life and currency.

Trusting headquarters completely, Liu Chunhui said it didn’t matter. They could start over.

Qin Luo had his reasons for being more patient with this couple. They understood the situation well, and their little daughter was quiet and well-behaved.

Unlike Yang Cong’s group.

Those guys were completely oblivious to reality.

Fortunately, Chen Xiaofei was keeping them in check, making sure they ate quickly and got back to work.

They had no choice but to comply.

Meanwhile, Xu Duoduo was lost in her own little world. Her consciousness space, the multi-faceted cube-like storage dimension, had just expanded again. A few more compartments were now filled with vehicles.

Luxury sedans from major brands, business vehicles, even an RV, and four large freight trucks. And—wait—there was still cargo inside?

Xu Duoduo hadn’t looked carefully before, but now she noticed—one truck was entirely loaded with flour, another with hardware supplies, and a third with fruit. Unfortunately, after so long in the apocalypse, most of the fruit had rotted away.

And the last truck… was full of deliveries??

A massive cargo truck, 9.6 meters long, capable of carrying around 9,000 to 10,000 packages. This was beyond exciting!

Even a little zombie still remembered the joy of unboxing packages.

Xu Duoduo grabbed one and started unwrapping it. The first package turned out to be a bunny-ear headband—super cute. She put it on without hesitation.

When Qin Luo finally had a moment to glance her way, he was shocked to find her unboxing deliveries.

“Where did you even get those?”

Qin Luo was both amused and exasperated. Seeing the pink-and-white bunny ears on her head, he couldn’t help but reach out and pinch them.

The texture was surprisingly nice.

Xu Duoduo peeked at him sneakily, feeling a bit guilty, like she’d been caught red-handed. But then she thought—most major cities had already fallen; these deliveries were never going to reach their owners anyway.

That made her feel a lot more at ease.

She even shoved two small packages into Qin Luo’s arms, planning to drag him into her mischief.

Qin Luo quickly figured it out. He had a sharp memory—yesterday, during the zombie cleanup, he had glimpsed a delivery truck but hadn’t thought much of it.

He hadn’t realized Xu Duoduo’s storage space was so vast—or that she was like a hamster, compulsively hoarding anything she found.

Still, thanks to her odd habit, they had stocked up on even more supplies.

Since they hadn’t set off yet, Qin Luo casually opened two packages. One contained a mechanical keyboard, the other a string of Buddhist prayer beads.

Nothing too exciting.

Then he turned and saw Xu Duoduo unwrapping a smartphone and a gold bracelet. He was dumbfounded. What kind of god-tier luck was this?

Xu Duoduo’s eyes lit up at the sight of the gold bracelet, and she immediately tried to put it on.

Qin Luo quickly stopped her. “Hey, hey, don’t wear that! Too flashy. You know the saying—wealth should not be flaunted. If someone grabs you and runs off, you’ll be in deep trouble.”

In times of peace, antiques were valuable. In times of chaos, gold was king. Right now, gold was still incredibly tempting to people.

The little zombie was sometimes sharp, sometimes clueless. Qin Luo genuinely worried that someone might try to snatch her away.

She was so small—he could pick her up without even using much strength.

Sure, Bai Shu and Chen Xiaofei had mentioned that she could wield an electric chainsaw and kill several mutant monkeys, but looking at her tiny frame, it was still hard to believe.

Qin Luo was overthinking things.

Xu Duoduo had only wanted to try it on for a second. She had no intention of flaunting a gold bracelet in public. So, with a resigned sigh, she tucked it back into her storage space.

She even designated a special compartment just for jewelry, feeling very pleased.

Shiny things.

So pretty!

Zombies loved them.

Meanwhile, Chen Xiaofei, who had just wolfed down two bowls of noodles, turned around and saw Xu Duoduo and Qin Luo hunched over, fiddling with something behind everyone’s backs.

Were they sneaking snacks?

He crept over and called out, “What are you guys secretly eating?”

But when he saw what they were actually doing, he was stunned. “Wait—what the hell? Where did all these packages come from?”

Xu Duoduo, realizing they’d been caught, quickly stuffed the last opened package into her storage space and stopped unboxing.

Qin Luo, on the other hand, looked utterly defeated. He clutched his head in despair. “Five packages! I opened five! Xu Duoduo got two smartphones and a jade ornament. And me? I got a Russian nesting doll and a ceramic stew pot!”

His luck was atrocious.

Nothing highlights bad luck more than an unfair comparison.

Qin Luo had officially given up.

Chen Xiaofei burst into laughter. “Damn! The squad leader really does have insane luck!”

By then, Xu Duoduo had finished typing on her tablet. She lifted it up. 【Got them from an abandoned delivery truck outside.】

Chen Xiaofei finally understood her delayed response and couldn’t stop laughing. “Oh, got it, squad leader.”

Seeing that no one else was around, Xu Duoduo sneakily handed Chen Xiaofei two small packages.

No one could resist the joy of unboxing.

Chen Xiaofei eagerly opened them—one contained a luxury leather belt, the other a designer men’s wallet.

He whistled in amazement. “Damn, in the pre-apocalypse world, these would’ve been worth tens of thousands!”

Then he glanced at the shipping labels. Oh, they were from a premium courier service. That explained it—high-end packages usually contained valuable goods.

Qin Luo was done. “Xu Duoduo, are you doing this on purpose? You keep giving me all the bad ones!”

So childish.

The little zombie simply stared at him with big, round apricot eyes, as if to say, What are you talking about? I grabbed them at random!

Qin Luo chuckled again. Her tiny sharp fangs gleamed—he had been teasing her on purpose.

Her face was always expressionless, but her eyes were very expressive. When she was mad, she glared. When she was frustrated, her gaze turned sorrowful. Teasing her was endlessly entertaining.

But fun times never last long.

After just a few minutes of play, the survivors finished breakfast, and the bus was finally ready. They started loading supplies, preparing to set off.

And then, trouble struck again.

Yang Cong’s group actually had the audacity to ask if they could ride in Qin Luo’s off-road vehicle.

“This car’s so big. We can squeeze in, right? That bus looks anything but safe.”

Qin Luo’s voice was ice-cold. “Keep talking, and I’ll make you walk.”

To outsiders, Captain Qin was all cool and arrogant—only his own people saw his softer side.

Yang Cong shut up instantly.

Some of his companions were at least sensible enough to apologize before dragging him back.

Xu Duoduo quickly climbed into the off-road vehicle. This time, Chen Xiaofei and Wang Weihu had to ride with the survivors—they needed someone to keep watch over that group.

Yang Cong shot a nasty look at Xu Duoduo before spitting, “What a pretentious bitch. Acting all high and mighty. Probably his side chick—why else would he bring some weak little girl on a mission?”

She looked so fragile.

Wu Zijie quickly pulled him aside. “Brother Yang, don’t get mad. We can’t afford to piss these people off right now.”
