Apocalypse Arrival: Little Zombie, I Just Hoard, Hoard, Hoard!
Apocalypse Arrival: Little Zombie, I Just Hoard, Hoard, Hoard! Chapter 48: Full Team Mimicry

The little zombie wasn’t even making “ao ao” sounds anymore; instead, she was going, “woof woof!” Meanwhile, her tiny paws were sneakily stroking his tail.

Qin Luo’s face turned bright red. He wanted to pull his tail away but felt his legs go weak. “I am a wolf.”

“Woof woof.”

No! You’re a big dog!

Qin Luo looked down at the little zombie hugging his fluffy tail, even tilting her head to nuzzle it with an expression of pure delight. He couldn’t help but grit his teeth.

Finally, with tears in his eyes, he surrendered, “Alright, alright, I’m not a wolf. I’m a woof woof. Even if the sky falls, the sea explodes, and the Earth is destroyed, I’m still a dog.”

No one should stop him.

It was all because of how ridiculously cute she looked, blinking her big eyes and tilting her head while going “woof woof!”

Oh my god, someone save him! Since when were zombies this adorable?

Inside Qin Luo’s mind, a tiny version of himself was beating his chest in frustration. But no! A grey wolf’s tail must not be touched!

Yet he was already trembling, his legs weak and numb, body burning hot, and he swore there was steam rising from his head.

Luckily, his good buddy arrived to save him.

Chen Xiaofei came rushing in, flapping his wings. “Aoo ahhh, Qin-ge, look at me! Little class rep, look! I can fly!!”

He dove in headfirst, startling the little zombie so much that she let go of the tail with a “plop.” Qin Luo quickly yanked his tail back, but before he could dodge, the three of them tumbled into a heap.

Meanwhile, Chen Xiaofei was still laughing.

“Look, look! I actually have wings! Oh my god, a miracle of the world!”

Chen Xiaofei was enthusiastically flapping his white-grey wings, which had small white spots on them. Other than his wings, his feet had also morphed into eagle talons. Everything else remained human.

Standing with his hands on his hips, he declared, “Mwahaha! Now I can fly in the sky at super speed—whoosh, whoosh!”

Qin Luo picked the little zombie up and set her back on her feet before raising his hand to deliver a solid flick to Chen Xiaofei’s forehead. “Stand at attention! Apologize properly for knocking over a girl!”

Xu Duoduo still looked dazed, her zombie brain clearly lagging again.

Chen Xiaofei, realizing he had gotten too excited, hurriedly bowed at a ninety-degree angle. “I’m sorry, little class rep! I was wrong! I didn’t do it on purpose! To make up for it, I’ll buy you a mutant core!”

His baby-faced expression was full of sincerity as he blinked up at the little zombie.

Xu Duoduo only caught the part about getting a mutant core. She nodded and then turned her gaze back to Qin Luo’s fluffy tail.

Qin Luo immediately coughed. “Ahem! No touching the tail.” If she did, he wouldn’t be able to handle it.

The little zombie pouted.

Qin Luo instantly added, “But when no one else is around, you can touch it.”

At least then he wouldn’t have to worry about losing his dignity as a captain due to blushing, weak knees, or overheating!

The little zombie’s eyes lit up in understanding. She nodded gracefully—she got it now. No touching in public. But in private? She could touch it as much as she wanted! Her little paws could stroke it freely!

Qin Luo mistook her reaction as genuine understanding and even praised her for being smart.

Chen Xiaofei, still clueless, scratched the back of his head and looked between their captain and the little class rep. That’s when he finally noticed the large wolf ears perched on Qin Luo’s head.

“Holy crap! Qin-ge, this looks awesome! So cool! What kind of wolf are you?”

“Tibetan wolf,” Qin Luo replied grumpily.

What was so awesome about it? He thought he just looked dumb with two dog ears on his head and a big fluffy tail swaying behind him.

Without realizing it, his tail flicked in irritation.

Chen Xiaofei, on the other hand, was delighted with his new appearance. He continued flapping his wings and hopping around, his talons clicking crisply against the tiles. “Doesn’t this look like tap dancing? Tap tap tap!”

Qin Luo watched him flap around and said expressionlessly, “No, you just look like a flailing wild chicken.”

Chen Xiaofei was indignant. “Excuse me! My species is the king of all eagles—the gyrfalcon!”

Still flapping his wings, he admired himself.

When Bai Shu walked in and saw this scene, he really didn’t want to admit that this idiot was his teammate. Pushing up his glasses with a sigh, he stepped forward. “Can you stop bouncing around? It’s giving me a headache.”

That only encouraged Chen Xiaofei more. He flapped harder, just to be annoying.

It wasn’t until a few girls walked past, giggling behind their hands, that his face turned red with embarrassment. Covering his face, he rushed into the meeting room.

How humiliating…

Qin Luo also pulled Xu Duoduo inside, with Bai Shu following behind.

“So what exactly are you supposed to be? Never seen anything like it. Why are you covered in fur?”

That’s right.

Unlike them, Bai Shu not only had small animal ears but was also completely covered in fur. With a resigned sigh, he spread his hands. “Russian flying squirrel. More precisely, a Siberian flying squirrel.”

A type of gliding rodent.

Chen Xiaofei burst into laughter. Imagining the always-serious Bai Shu as a cute little squirrel was too much.

“Ooooh! Here comes the flying squirrel!”

“You’re dead, Chen Xiaofei!!”

The two nearly broke into a fight right then and there. Qin Luo pulled Xu Duoduo aside to watch the show.

But after a while, they realized Wang Weihu hadn’t shown up.

Something was off.

So they went looking for him.

Xu Duoduo followed along, clearly entertained. If she could laugh out loud, she probably would’ve been grinning just like Chen Xiaofei.

Her eyes sparkled with curiosity.

When Chen Xiaofei and Bai Shu opened the door to a storage room, they immediately burst into uncontrollable laughter, clutching their stomachs.

“Holy crap, hahahaha! Old Wang, hahaha!”

Qin Luo, now curious, asked, “What does he look like? Let me see.”

Xu Duoduo peeked around him too. If Qin Luo hadn’t said no touching in public, she really would’ve hugged his big tail.

And then they saw him.

Wang Weihu was sitting in a corner, facing away from them. Two round ears and a thick, striped tail were clearly visible.

It wasn’t just that he was a massive 1.9-meter-tall man…

It was that he suddenly looked so cute!

Bai Shu was laughing so hard he was crying.

Chen Xiaofei had collapsed on the floor, pounding the ground. “HAHAHAHA! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”

Even Qin Luo couldn’t hold back, joining in with a round of laughter.

Their combined cackling practically shook the roof.

Wang Weihu turned around, his face dark with embarrassment. “No laughing!!”

His mimicry was just too ridiculous!

And to top it off, when he turned, they saw his short, round tiger ears.

His three friends lost it completely.

In the end, Wang Weihu was coaxed out of hiding. Bai Shu bit his lip so hard he almost bled, and Chen Xiaofei’s voice trembled as he spoke, “Ahem… Actually, this suits you! You look so honest and dependable. It’ll help a lot when negotiating with survivors!”

His mimicry was obvious—a purebred Northeast tiger. A chubby one.

Dumb-looking but incredibly huggable.

Qin Luo kept trying to act composed, though his shoulders occasionally shook.

Xu Duoduo trailed behind the four of them, watching Wang Weihu’s tail sway back and forth.

She resisted the urge to grab it.

Instead, she kept staring at Qin Luo’s fluffy tail. His was better—soft, big, and a lovely shade of gray.

As they walked, Qin Luo suddenly felt a chill down his spine.

Turning around, he saw the little zombie tilting her head and staring at him again, blinking innocently. His ears immediately burned red.

Awkwardly swallowing, he scolded, “Xu Duoduo, zombies aren’t allowed to act cute all the time, got it?!”
