Time Travel with a Dimensional Space: The Slacker Girl Goes All Out Chapter 9

Chapter 9 – It’s Really Unbearable to Hold It In!:

The hospital interrogation had just ended when a furious roar rang out:

“Song Jinxi, you little wretch! How dare you steal all the valuables from the house? Watch if I don’t beat you to death—… Huh? Why are there so many people here? Everyone get out! Where’s Song Jinxi?”

“Mother, I’m here!”

As soon as Song Bai heard Song Jinxi’s voice, he immediately rushed forward, intending to slap her. Naturally, he was stopped!

The police were present! This idiot hadn’t even noticed them. He must’ve seen everything missing from the house and gotten so angry that he lost all sense.

Only after realizing something was wrong did Song Bai finally notice the police officers in uniform. He quickly stepped forward.

“You’re Song Jinxi’s father? Your daughter was drugged. An overdose can be fatal—she’s only alive now thanks to sheer luck. She just woke up and tried to go to the bathroom. Not a single family member was around; it was the nurse who helped her. She fainted again due to exhaustion. And you, the father, not only didn’t visit or show concern but came here just to slap her? What kind of logic is that?”

Song Bai hesitated a moment, then said:

“Officer, I’m sorry. Apologies. I… I was just too angry. Our whole family has been indulging her, but she stole everything from the house. Now our home is an empty shell. Since you’re the police, arrest her—she committed theft!”

“Dad! You’re actually falsely accusing me. Since when did I have any say in the house? Is it because I didn’t immediately agree to go to the countryside, so you’re still blaming me? I was only eight years old! I just wanted to stay by your side a little longer, to be loved like you love Sister. Is that so wrong?”

“Besides, I’m someone who strives for progress. I wouldn’t resist something as honorable as going to the countryside. I just needed time to adjust—after all, I was only eight. Was it really too much to ask for a little understanding from you?”

The nurse chimed in:

“Oh my, what kind of father is this? Yelling at the kid like that without reason—she’s just a child! Honestly, the biological one’s not even as good as the outsider. And hey, when exactly did the stuff go missing?”

Song Bai was stunned for a second. Of course, Song Jinxi had been watching him closely and didn’t miss a thing.

The “bargain” sister, Song Rou, quickly replied:

“It was within the last hour and a half. No one was home during that time—we were all out buying things.”

Song Bai tried to stop Song Rou, but he failed.

The nurse continued:

“Well then, that makes it clear! Officer, I and the hospital staff can vouch for Song Jinxi—she hadn’t even woken up at that time. When she did, I was the one who helped her to the restroom.”

“Later, I saw a line forming at the bathroom, so I left briefly. But as the line grew and some people couldn’t hold it in anymore, they came looking for me. I knocked, but there was no response. I called the head nurse. Eventually, we kicked the door open.”

“When we got the door open, the poor girl was covered in sweat—clearly extremely weak. She could hear us but was too frail to respond. There were people lining up outside the whole time. How could she have slipped away unnoticed? After that, we carried her back, checked her condition, and then you guys came to interrogate her. Everything after that, everyone here knows!”

An older lady added:

“That’s right! That’s exactly what happened! I was in line too—it was unbearable holding it in! That girl collapsed in there and didn’t move at all—scared us half to death. She’s so weak she can barely walk, and you’re saying she stole stuff? What kind of logic is that? Just look at how you stormed in to accuse her—you clearly don’t treat her like family.”

The “bargain” older sister Song Rou started sobbing:

“We… we do love our little sister! We only suspected her because her room was the only one not robbed. Dad just wanted to teach her a lesson so she wouldn’t go down the wrong path!”

Song Jinxi immediately fired back:

“My room wasn’t robbed? Maybe that’s because there’s nothing worth stealing in there! What would they steal—some straw? Firewood? Or maybe the few wooden planks I sleep on?”

Song Bai’s face grew darker and darker. He snapped coldly:

“Shut up!”
