Reborn Little Fairy: Wild in Gu’s Heart (RLFWGH) Chapter 13

Chapter 13: Argument

Ruan Yu picked up a piece of sweet and sour pork ribs and put it on Gu Yanzhi’s plate, “Brother Yanzhi, this is the first time Ayu has cooked. If it doesn’t suit your taste, please bear with me.”

Gu Yanzhi elegantly picked up the pork ribs from the plate and put it in his mouth. Even if it tasted bad, or even if there was poison in it, he would eat it all. Not for anything else, but for the little girl who made it with her own hands.

It was sweet and sour, although it wasn’t as good as the professional Tang Ma, but for Gu Yanzhi, this dinner was the most delicious meal he had ever eaten in his life.

Ruan Yu looked at Gu Yanzhi expectantly, waiting for his evaluation, “How is it?”

Gu Yanzhi lightly tapped the girl’s forehead, “Delicious, even a five-star chef can’t compare to Ayu’s cooking.”

Ruan Yu’s eyes lit up, as if they contained a thousand stars and oceans. She picked up the pork ribs and stuffed them into her own mouth.

If Gu Yanzhi’s eating habits were elegant, then Ruan Yu’s were wolfish. She looked like she hadn’t eaten in a long time.

The sweet and sour taste exploded in her mouth. Ruan Yu closed her eyes contentedly. Although it wasn’t as good as a five-star chef, it tasted good. She wasn’t disappointed.

She piled several dishes onto Gu Yanzhi’s plate, “Eat more.”

Ruan Yu smiled happily, her eyes crinkled.

Gu Yanzhi rolled up his sleeves slightly, picked out a few dishes she usually liked and put them on her plate. Then he noticed that there wasn’t a single dish on the table that was her favorite seafood. He couldn’t help but ask, “Why didn’t Ayu make your favorite shrimp?”

He guessed the reason, but he still wanted to hear her say it.

Ruan Yu was wolfing down the food she had made, it was even more fragrant than usual. The food in her mouth hadn’t even been swallowed, “I told Tang Ma that there can’t be any seafood dishes on the table from now on. If I want to eat it, I’ll go out with Luo Xi.”

Gu Yanzhi was allergic to seafood, and he had indulged her for ten years. From now on, she would do the same for him.

Gu Yanzhi caught two words, “go out.”

His eyes darkened. Was she doing all this not because she had changed her mind, but because she had a purpose from the beginning? Was she doing all this just to get him to let her go out?

Ruan Yu didn’t notice his strangeness. She kept eating and putting food on Gu Yanzhi’s plate.

Gu Yanzhi felt like he was chewing wax at this moment. He tried his best to endure it, afraid of scaring her.

The anger in his heart gradually consumed his reason. His eyes were filled with a possessive rage. He slammed his chopsticks heavily on the dining table, stood up, and swept his long arm across the table. The food on the table fell to the ground, the ceramic plates shattered into pieces with a clatter.

Ruan Yu, who was completely unprepared, was startled. She put down her chopsticks and looked at Gu Yanzhi, whose eyes were red, in puzzlement. She called out to him softly, “Brother Yanzhi.”

Gu Yanzhi’s brows furrowed, he clenched his jaw, his eyes were filled with undisguised anger. He grabbed Ruan Yu’s hand.

It was the hand that had been burned by the hot oil. He gripped it tightly, the pain made Ruan Yu gasp.

“Can’t you just stay by my side? You’re trying so hard to please me, just so I’ll let you go out, right? Ruan Yu.”

His voice was cold, like a cold blade piercing her heart. She also understood why Gu Yanzhi was suddenly furious.

Ruan Yu looked into Gu Yanzhi’s eyes. She was misunderstood, she was full of grievances, her eyes were moist. She held back her tears, “Brother Yanzhi, Ayu hurts.”

Seeing the tears in her eyes, Gu Yanzhi’s eyes regained a glimmer of clarity. He felt the warm liquid in his palm, and then he realized that the hand he was holding tightly was the one that was burned. He loosened his grip, looked at the blood on his palm, and regretted it. He was impulsive. Even if he was angry, he shouldn’t have hurt her.

He suppressed the rage in his heart, ignoring the girl’s aggrieved eyes, he turned and went upstairs. When he reached the living room, his voice was gloomy, “Tang Ma, apply medicine to Miss.”

After saying that, he turned and went straight back to his room, leaving Ruan Yu alone sitting on the dining chair.

After Gu Yanzhi left, Ruan Yu couldn’t hold back her tears anymore. They flowed out one after another.

She didn’t blame Gu Yanzhi. After all, she had used every trick in the book to escape from Gu Yanzhi before. First, she gained his trust, and then she gave him a hard blow. It was normal for him to react like this. She was a terrible person, what right did she have to demand that Gu Yanzhi indulge her?

Tang Ma came in, called a few servants to clean up the mess on the floor. She looked at Ruan Yu with worry. The blisters on her back from the hot oil had burst, and blood was flowing out.

Tang Ma couldn’t help but worry. She took the medicine cabinet, “Miss, let me treat your wound, to prevent infection.”

Ruan Yu stretched out her hand and let Tang Ma treat her wound. She didn’t feel the pain, her eyes were vacant as she stared ahead.

This time, even Tang Ma felt that Sir was being too much. Miss had spent the whole afternoon making a table full of food, and she hadn’t even eaten two bites before it was scattered on the floor.

After treating her wound, Tang Ma shook her head and sighed, “Miss, remember not to get water on it when you take a bath.”

Ruan Yu nodded woodenly. The mess on the floor was cleaned up, and Tang Ma left.

Ruan Yu sat there alone for an unknown amount of time before she got up and slowly went upstairs. She went back to her room, took a bath, changed into dry pajamas, and lay in bed, tossing and turning, unable to sleep.

After being reborn, she could only fall asleep peacefully in Gu Yanzhi’s arms.

Ruan Yu looked at the ceiling, she didn’t know how long she had been staring at it before she fell asleep in a daze.

In her dream, she dreamed of what happened the night before she was reborn.

Gu Yanzhi came to her through the fire, regardless of everything. He held her in his arms and comforted her softly.

No matter how much she hurt him, he wouldn’t leave.

She watched helplessly as the fire burned Gu Yanzhi to a crisp, and finally he lost his breath and fell beside her.

No matter how much she screamed, the man could no longer respond to her.

Ruan Yu woke up from her dream, fine beads of sweat broke out on her forehead. She sat up in bed abruptly, looked at the surroundings, and her expression was dazed.

She turned on the bedside lamp and looked at the time. It was exactly twelve o’clock at night.

She got out of bed, walked barefoot to the door of Gu Yanzhi’s bedroom. She wanted to nestle in his arms and sleep. She wanted to tell him that she didn’t do all this because she wanted to leave him.

Ruan Yu twisted the doorknob, the door didn’t open. It was locked from the inside. She reached out to knock, but then she thought about it. It was already twelve o’clock, he must be asleep.

She retracted her hand, stared at the door for a while, leaned against the wall beside the door, sat on the floor, and hugged her legs.

It seemed that only being close to him could make her feel at ease.

The night in March was still cold. Ruan Yu was wearing thin pajamas, her feet were on the cold floor, but she didn’t feel cold at all.

In the dim light of the corridor, a thin figure sat on the floor, hugging herself in the silent night.
