Chapter 64: Bloodbull Belt
Wu Shaochen rubbed his hands excitedly. “Heavenly spirits and earthly spirits, bless me with a dark-gold!” He tapped the treasure chest and clicked “open.”
…
“Ding! Congratulations, you have obtained [Bloodbull Belt], Dark-Gold Grade.”
“Holy crap? It really dropped a Dark-Gold? Since when did my luck get this good? Could it be the effect of those 15 luck points?” Wu Shaochen was in disbelief and quickly checked his inventory.
[Bloodbull Belt] – Dark-Gold Grade: HP +2000, Physical Defense +50, Magic Defense +50.
Bonus Attributes: Constitution +25, Constitution +25, Root +25, Strength +25.
Special Skill: Recovery – Instantly restores 50% HP upon activation. Cooldown: 5 minutes.
Equip Requirement: All classes.
“These stats… Damn, this really is a tank belt. Two constitution bonuses? But… I love it. And that skill—I love it even more.” Wu Shaochen was thrilled. This piece of gear was an unexpected windfall. With this equipment, maybe he could risk poking the tiger’s butt.
He hurried to equip it. “This run? Absolute jackpot.” The moment he put on the Bloodbull Belt, it instantly topped the equipment leaderboard, sparking a frenzy of discussion.
“Holy sh*t, did I see that right? A Dark-Gold item?”
“You gotta be kidding. I’m still grinding for bronze gear, and someone already has Dark-Gold?”
“I haven’t even completed my Black-Iron set… This is demoralizing.”
Wu Shaochen was unaware that this item had exploded across the entire Oracle Region chat and forums. At the same time, he received three private messages—each from a different woman.
Xue’er: “Is that Dark-Gold item yours?”
Leng Yue: “Is that Dark-Gold item yours?”
Feng Yin’er: “Gege~ Is that Dark-Gold item yours?”
…
“How the hell did they find out about the Dark-Gold gear?” Wu Shaochen was confused. Then he suddenly thought of something and quickly opened the equipment leaderboard.
Seeing the Bloodbull Belt hanging prominently at the top, Wu Shaochen held his head in his hands. “Come on, AI system-daddy, can I have a bit of privacy here?”
Then he replied to all three at once: “Nope.”
He got three replies immediately.
Xue’er: “Yeah, right.”
Leng Yue: “Don’t believe you.”
Feng Yin’er: “Like I’d believe that. Who else but you could get a Dark-Gold item now?”
Wu Shaochen scratched his nose. “Whether you believe it or not has nothing to do with me.” He ignored them after that and turned his attention to a skill book in his inventory—and froze.
How the hell did this skill drop too?
[Forcefield Suppression]: Consumes 200 MP. Suppresses all targets within a 10-meter radius, reducing their attack power by 20%, attack speed by 20%, and movement speed by 20%. Duration: 1 minute. Cooldown: 5 minutes.
Requirement: Melee class.
“Did I just step in dogsh*t? Otherwise how could my luck be this insane?” First he got Dark-Gold from a chest, then this boss dropped its trump card skill.
Should he learn it? Wu Shaochen hesitated. This skill was absolutely a god-tier ability for team battles. It would be invaluable in guild wars. He could definitely sell it for a ton. But… he kinda wanted to learn it himself.
Even if it might be a bit of a waste for him, he was about to fight that tiger soon. He could still remember its insane damage output. Reducing its attack by 20% might be a game-changer.
“Ugh, screw it. Why am I hesitating? There’s no end to making money. Getting a skill that’s actually useful to me is rare enough. Invest in yourself to make more later.” Wu Shaochen clicked “Learn,” and the skill was quickly added to his list.
After learning the skill, Wu Shaochen checked his stats after equipping everything.
His HP was the highest now—his total health had reached 12,358.
Physical Attack: 1,712,
Physical Defense: 836,
Magic Defense: 825,
Movement Speed: 683,
Attack Speed: 159%,
XP: Lv20: 219,570 / 300,000,
Unallocated Stat Points: 20.
“With over ten thousand HP, I should be able to take a crack at that tiger now.” Wu Shaochen thought to himself. But before that, he needed to deal with his gear—his inventory was overflowing. And all of it was money.
He had three Silver-grade items:
As for Bronze gear, he had over 15 pieces, mostly stuff he had swapped out. Aside from the somewhat lackluster [Silver Wolf King Ring], the rest were all drops from level 20 monsters with pretty solid stats. He also had 10 Black-Iron items.
This dungeon run had stuffed his backpack to the brim—a total of 28 pieces of gear.
He also had:
That’s 8 slots gone already. If he got any more drops, he’d have no space left. Looks like it’s time to expand his backpack.
He checked the auction house transaction records. Black-Iron gear was mostly selling for a few thousand. Bronze was starting to drop too—generally between 80k to 100k. Silver gear still had no real market, with only his previous 260k sale on record.
He listed 10 Black-Iron items at 8,000 apiece—the limit for listings was 10 items, so he’d have to wait for those to sell first. Fortunately, they sold quickly thanks to their solid stats. Then he listed 10 Bronze items—[Silver Wolf King Ring] at 10,000, the rest at 100,000 each. They were worth it.
A few minutes later, all the items sold out again. He listed the last 5 Bronze items at 100k each.
Jinling City regional chat:
“Damn, who’s the big spender bulk-buying Bronze gear?”
“Do you even need to ask? Who else but Dust-Sealed? The guy already has Dark-Gold gear. What’s bulk-buying Bronze to him?”
“Yeah… fair enough.”
The 5 Bronze items sold out again. Only three Silver items remained. Wu Shaochen thought for a bit and decided not to list them all at once—too much hate would follow.
He opened his friends list and sent the [Leopard King Leather Armor] to Leng Yue, and the [Lion King Bracelet] to Xue’er, along with a single message to both:
“Wanna trade?”
“Yes!”
Su Muxue replied almost instantly. Silver gear was god-tier right now—who wouldn’t want it?
Xue’er: “Name your price!”
Leng Yue: “As much as I want it, I don’t have much money. The most I can offer is 220,000. This piece would go for no less than the Blue-Scale Armor at auction. I can’t afford it…”
Wu Shaochen looked at Leng Yue’s reply and thought for a moment. He decided to trade with her anyway. Sure, the Blue-Scale Armor had sold for 260k last time, but after deductions, he only got 221k. This wouldn’t make much difference. And she was a friend—friends get perks.
At that moment, Leng Yue was grinding mobs. She looked at the message with reluctance in her eyes. That gear was very important to her, but she simply didn’t have more money.
“Jie, should I ask Dad for some money?” said Leng Feng beside her, looking concerned.
“No!” Leng Yue snapped coldly.
“…Alright. Such a shame,” Leng Feng muttered.
Leng Yue looked one last time at the chat window screenshot, ready to close it. Suddenly, a remote trade request popped up—the item was just sitting there, waiting.
Leng Yue froze. Then she messaged him: “What’s this supposed to mean?”
Dust-Sealed: “Take it for 220k.”
“This…” Leng Yue was momentarily speechless. That item couldn’t possibly only be worth 220k. Why was he selling it to her so cheap?
“Jie, hurry up and confirm! What are you waiting for?” Leng Feng urged.
“Ah, right.” Leng Yue quickly entered the remaining 220,000 from her bound account and confirmed the trade. Seeing the gear quietly sitting in her inventory, she finally realized it was real.
She quickly messaged him: “Thank you!”
