Chapter 65: She is My Person

“I made some soup for you today, try it. It’s the same kind I used to make for you,” Song Ruo said as she walked over, smiling gently at Duan Qingyu.

Duan Qingyu glanced at the soup on the table, then gave Cheng Du a look. “You go ahead and handle your things.”

Cheng Du hesitated. After all, he was supposed to keep an eye on Li Li, but seeing that Duan Qingyu seemed to have something to say to her, he hesitated before nodding and agreeing.

Maybe he’s going to clear things up.

When Song Ruo saw Cheng Du leave, a hint of excitement flashed in her eyes. She knew he wouldn’t be able to let go, after all, she was the female lead.

With only the two of them left in the room, Song Ruo sat down beside him, trying to take his hand. “Qingyu, I went abroad to become someone who’s worthy of you…”

Duan Qingyu avoided her hand, his indifferent gaze fixed on her. His voice was cold. “Who are you?”

“I’m Song Ruo…” Song Ruo felt a chill in her heart under his gaze, as if he had seen right through her.

“Is that so?” Duan Qingyu continued to stare at her. His memories had been blurry before, to the point where he had forgotten about Ji Xueli for a period. Everything only came back after she arrived…

Now that his memory was clear, he understood his thoughts from the beginning. So, the reason for everything before was now clear.

The only thing he doubted was her.

Song Ruo nervously swallowed. “I’m Song Ruo, Qingyu, what’s wrong with you…”

“We had no relationship before, and we have none now. From today on, we never need to see each other again,” Duan Qingyu said as he stood up, not wanting to look at her again.

Given his nature, it was already the greatest favor that he wasn’t forcing her to disappear.

Song Ruo’s expression changed, her emotions began to unravel. She looked at Duan Qingyu’s tall figure, her eyes reddening. “What about all the things we shared before?”

Unwilling to give up, she rushed forward and tightly hugged his waist from behind, her voice trembling. “Qingyu, do you really not remember when you took me to Ireland to cheer me up, and…”

Before she could finish speaking, she was pulled away and had her neck grabbed with no hesitation. The coldness in Duan Qingyu’s eyes was chilling, and the restraint he had shown earlier was replaced with a sudden, overwhelming malice.

“I told you, those things have nothing to do with me,” Duan Qingyu’s voice was icy, each word clear and deliberate.

Song Ruo’s face turned red as she struggled to breathe, feeling as though she might actually be suffocated right there.

But in the next moment, the grip on her neck loosened. She collapsed to the floor, coughing uncontrollably. “Is it because of Ji Xueli…”

She couldn’t believe that Duan Qingyu would treat her this way. There must be a reason, and that reason could only be Ji Xueli.

Duan Qingyu looked down at her from above, his eyes filled with no pity. “She is my person.”

She should have been from the start.

Song Ruo slowly clenched her fists. She knew it. Hatred flickered in her eyes. The villainous female lead had finally appeared, and she had even managed to sabotage her relationship with Duan Qingyu…

“Zhen Zhang.” Duan Qingyu called out.

Zhen Zhang immediately walked in, followed by Cheng Du, who curiously looked inside but saw Song Ruo collapsed on the ground, while Duan Qingyu stood impassively nearby.

Cheng Du struggled to suppress the grin threatening to rise on his face.

“Take Miss Song out. From now on, no entry without an appointment,” Duan Qingyu instructed.

Zhen Zhang was a bit surprised but nodded. “Understood, Mr. Duan.”

“Let’s go, Miss Song.”

Song Ruo bit her lower lip, her face pale. She would blame everything that happened today on Ji Xueli.

“Hey, hey, what’s going on? What happened?” Cheng Du couldn’t wait to ask after they left.

“It’s nothing. Throw away the things on the table,” Duan Qingyu pointed to the pile on the table.

Those were the things Song Ruo had brought, and he hadn’t touched any of it. Now, he had sent her away and was going to throw all of it out…

Cheng Du began to consider something. They had fallen out!
