Returning to his residence, Wuhen took off his dark-colored cloak and opened the wooden box. Inside, there were several medicine bottles. Each bottle had a label indicating its effects.
Soothing, scar removal, wound healing…
At the Regent Prince’s Mansion, Feng Xiaohan was dressed in a cloud-patterned black robe, his eyes covered by cloth. His cold and domineering face showed no expression, and his long black hair was not tied.
“Your Highness, the eldest son has already left,” Qing’an reported.
“Mm.” Feng Xiaohan responded indifferently.
“Qing’an, brew me some soothing medicine.”
“Yes.”
Feng Xiaohan felt that he had to carefully interrogate the little girl. He needed to know things like her name, where she came from, what her purpose was, and why she called him father.
At noon, Feng Xiaohan hastily ate lunch, drank a bowl of soothing soup, and began to fall asleep.
After he fell asleep, he did not see the little girl he had hoped to see.
Because she was busy working.
When Feng Xiaohan woke up, his face was dark with anger.
So, she really was a little liar! She took the money and ran off. All that “father” business was just to deceive him.
She tricked him out of a hundred taels and then stopped? Was she looking down on the Regent Prince’s Mansion?
“Qing’an, bring me a cup of tea, it should be cold.” Feng Xiaohan called out.
Qing’an entered and poured a cup of tea for Feng Xiaohan.
Feng Xiaohan drank three cups of cold tea before his anger subsided.
“Your Highness, the Crown Prince is here. He says he’s come to visit you,” Qing’an reported.
“Visit me? He’s probably here to see if I’m dead or not. I don’t want to see him.” Feng Xiaohan, in a bad mood, didn’t want to see anyone.
“Yes.”
Qing’an covered the blankets for Feng Xiaohan, then went out to deal with the Crown Prince, who had been waiting outside for half an hour.
“Greetings, Your Highness. My master is unwell and does not wish to meet with guests.” Qing’an said sternly as he addressed the Crown Prince.
“Then I won’t disturb you any longer. Please take good care of the royal uncle and let him recover soon, after all, there are many matters awaiting him to handle.” The Crown Prince, Song Zijue, had waited for more than half an hour but still had not met with Feng Xiaohan. He didn’t get angry, instead, he smiled and left with his guards.
Qing’an watched the Crown Prince’s back as he left, then turned and returned to Wangchuan Courtyard to keep watch.
The royal family, with their few members, were always hoping for something to happen to the Regent Prince, so they could take the opportunity to make their moves.
Feng Xiaohan lay in bed, feeling frustrated.
He, Feng Xiaohan, had been tricked by a little girl.
And so, the Regent Prince spent the whole afternoon sulking, barely eating anything for dinner before heading to bed early.
Late at night, a soft, childlike voice called out, “Father?”
The little girl, dressed in a yellow tunic and with her hair tied in a cute bun, adorned with osmanthus flower tassels, appeared. She was extremely adorable.
Feng Xiaohan kept his eyes closed and ignored her.
“Father?” The little girl scratched her little face.
Why was Father angry again? Why did Father always get angry so easily?
“Father, why are you angry?”
“Why didn’t you come when I called you this afternoon?” Feng Xiaohan glared at the little girl in the yellow dress.
Hmm, this little skirt is much finer and prettier than the one she wore last time.
“Because I had to work,” the little girl sat in mid-air, explaining in her soft, childlike voice.
“Work? Didn’t I give you one hundred taels of silver?” Feng Xiaohan asked in confusion. Could it be that they were mistreating the child over there, withholding her money?
“Yes, but the medicine to treat Father’s eyes can’t be bought with Father’s money. I have to use my own money to buy it.”
So, she was working hard to save money to buy medicine for her father.
Feng Xiaohan: So, he had wronged the little girl.
“Then what can you buy with my silver?”
What was the use of giving her the silver if she wasn’t going to use it for herself?
“I can buy food, buy pretty clothes, buy flowers… Hehe, I also bought flowers for Father today,” the little girl proudly took out the red flowers she had bought for Feng Xiaohan.
Feng Xiaohan took them, casually asking, “How much did they cost?”
“One tael of silver. The flower sister said this flower is very rare,” the little girl happily explained as she introduced the flower to her father.
“How much money did you earn today?”
“Two taels of silver, because I helped move bricks today!” The little girl beamed with an even brighter smile as she spoke.
“Father’s medicine… it needs…” The little girl thought for a moment before holding up a tiny finger.
“One hundred thousand taels of silver.” The medicine fairy brother said that Father’s medicine uses very expensive herbs, so it costs a lot. I’ll need to save money for a long time to buy it.
Feng Xiaohan thought for a moment, calculating that the child could earn a maximum of two taels a day. One hundred thousand taels… That would take years!
“What’s your name?”
“I don’t have a name. Father, you never gave me one.” As soon as the little girl mentioned this, she immediately looked upset. Everyone else had names, but she didn’t.
The white-robed brother and the others could only call her “Flower Baby,” because she was managed by Flower.
Feng Xiaohan looked at the little girl’s sad, pouting face. This was his fault, wasn’t it?
He had thought she was just a scammer.
In the next moment, a screen appeared with the prompt, “Please enter a name.”
A pen flew directly into Feng Xiaohan’s hand, forcing him to take it.
Feng Xiaohan: This feels a bit like being robbed.
Behind the scenes, the manager, Flower, was furious. Hurry up and give her a name!
This damn man had made their little treasure go move bricks to buy him medicine. The tiny thing was struggling to carry a brick! How hard it must be!
If she didn’t give their little treasure a good name, she would threaten to assassinate him!
Feng Xiaohan thought for a moment and picked up the pen to write down a name.
“How about Wuyu? It means ‘no worries, may you live in peace and joy forever.'”
【Feng Wuyu, Name Successfully Registered.】
Feng Xiaohan: Wait, it used his surname!
He had only written down the characters “Wuyu.”
This is really a bit like being robbed.
“Father, I’m so happy!” Wuyu immediately threw her arms around Feng Xiaohan’s neck.
She finally had a name!
For the first time, Feng Xiaohan could touch her.
Before, he couldn’t touch her no matter how hard he tried, but now that she had a name, he could finally touch her.
Feng Xiaohan held his soft, delicate little girl.
It felt a bit strange.
“Father, you should go to sleep early. Wuyu has to go work now.”
Wuyu was getting ready to go work and earn money.
Feng Xiaohan watched her disappear from his sight and thought to himself, maybe he should load some money for her.
The next second, the recharge screen appeared.
Feng Xiaohan loaded a thousand taels, telling himself to let Little Girl buy some nice clothes and hair accessories. The yellow dress she had just worn was quite good, so he thought she’d better get a few more of those.
Maybe a thousand taels wouldn’t be enough. He added another thousand.
Feng Wuyu proudly ran through the small town, announcing to everyone on the street.
“Hehe, I have a name now.”
“Wuyu!”
“Fishy?” A passerby thought she was saying “fish.”
“Yep!” Wuyu nodded enthusiastically.
Then she rushed to the medical clinic where the Medical Immortal was.
The man in a green robe was grinding herbs.
Seeing the little golden ball of sunshine running in, the man smiled slightly and crouched down.
Wuyu stood proudly before him.
“Medical Immortal Brother, I have a name now! Father gave it to me—Wuyu!” Wuyu happily
“Wuyu, it’s indeed a lovely name. From now on, I’ll call you Little Wuyu,” the Medical Immortal said, gently patting her little head.
“Mm-hmm!” Wuyu nodded eagerly.
“I haven’t told Sister Wisteria yet.” Wuyu dashed out again, her little feet making a soft patter as she ran.
The Medical Immortal watched as the little bundle of sunshine ran off, then continued grinding his herbs.
At the flower shop on the street, a woman wearing a purple gauze dress embroidered with wisteria flowers was lying on a bamboo chair, leisurely singing a song.
“Wisteria, Wisteria.” The man’s anxious voice echoed in her mind.
Wisteria irritably blocked it out. As a CEO, he had nothing better to do than bother her? She had already told him that she was selling flowers during the day. If she didn’t sell flowers, where would the money come from to buy medicine for his illness?
“Sister Wisteria,” came the soft and sweet voice.
Wuyu stood in front of the various flowers, gazing at her sister.
Wisteria lazily stood up, looking at the little bundle of joy with a smile.
“Why are you so happy today?” Wisteria asked as she picked up the little one and sat back down on the bamboo chair.
