Drink Toxin To Quench Thirst
Drink Toxin To Quench Thirst chapter 51

Closing Remarks

The inspiration for this story came from the phrase “饮鸩” (yǐn zhèn), or “drinking poison(toxin),” which popped into my head one day when I was bored and flipping through poetry looking for a name. I thought the name was really cool, with a kind of dark and tragic vibe, and that’s how the character Lu Yin Zhen and his melodramatic backstory came to be.

I feel sorry for him, and upon reflection, I sent Song Mianfeng to be by his side, hoping that from now on, he would have sweetness every day.

Although the subplot involves dealing with a scumbag father, I’m not very good at writing those kinds of satisfying revenge stories. So I think this piece should be more of a mildly melodramatic and unsatisfying story…

If I were to use something to metaphorically describe it, I would compare Lu Yin Zhen to the cold currents of the Kuril Islands and Song Mianfeng to the warm currents of Japan. When the cold currents of the Kuril Islands meet the warm currents of Japan, they warm the entire ocean.

I hope this story warms you too.

And with that, this story comes to an end.

However, no matter what, thank you for reading this far.

It may be cliché, but I still want to say it:

Wishing you all a Happy New Year, full of peace, joy, and success.

Also, I hope you all encounter and win over that person who initially caught your eye and later won your heart.

See you in the next story.
