After Being Cheated On, I Married a Billionaire Chapter 44

Chapter 44: She Believed Mo Qian Wouldn’t Peek

Qiao Lan took the bag of clothes but hesitated to move.

The only place in this room where she could change clothes was the bathroom.

The bathroom glass was still ultra-high definition. What was the difference between changing in there and changing in the room?

Mo Qian sensed the little woman’s awkwardness: “I’ll go to the restaurant and see if there’s anything you like to eat.”

He left without taking the room card, giving Qiao Lan a sense of security.

Qiao Lan breathed a sigh of relief and quickly changed her clothes. She looked at the ultra-high definition glass, still unable to accept it.

Qiao Lan called the front desk: “Are all the bathroom partitions in your hotel made of high-definition glass? Do you have any frosted or more private ones?”

“No, and no one has ever complained about this.”

The front desk asked back: “Aren’t you a couple? Do couples care about this?”

She almost asked, “Don’t couples need passion?”

“…”

Qiao Lan was speechless, unable to refute.

She ended the call and looked at the heavy rain outside. Changing hotels was unrealistic.

The doorbell rang, and Mo Qian returned.

He was carrying a bag of clothes and a cardboard box.

Qiao Lan asked, “What’s that?”

“Disposable roller blinds.”

Mo Qian put the blinds on the glass, just covering the bathroom.

Mo Qian said, “The hotel’s soundproofing is very good. People outside won’t hear the sounds from inside.”

Qiao Lan looked at the blinds on the glass, her tense mood instantly relaxed. A rare smile appeared on her lips: “You’re so thoughtful, but…”

Qiao Lan paused and asked, “It’s raining so heavily outside. Where did you buy this?”

Disposable roller blinds aren’t common items and should be hard to find.

Mo Qian said calmly, “Same-city delivery.”

He ordered it for his assistant, who sent someone to deliver it. It was considered same-city delivery.

Qiao Lan didn’t have much common sense and didn’t doubt when she heard the man say this.

Mo Qian: “Go take a shower. I ordered food, it will be delivered in half an hour.”

Qiao Lan had also been caught in the rain and felt sticky all over. She took her pajamas and went to the bathroom.

Only when she stood in the shower did she realize that the blinds only covered the glass next to the bed, but not the entrance.

And the uncovered part was facing the shower area, making it a bit embarrassing to shower.

She believed that Mo Qian was a gentleman and wouldn’t peek.

Qiao Lan numbed herself while turning on the shower head.

She took a quick shower and habitually reached for the towel, only to find a small towel.

The large towel was hanging on the handle outside the door.

Qiao Lan rolled her eyes helplessly. When she checked out, she would definitely complain!!!

Qiao Lan dried the water droplets on her body with the small towel and picked up her pajamas. Just as she was about to put them on, the doorbell rang.

She watched helplessly as Mo Qian passed by, took the food, and glanced in this direction when he turned around.

Mo Qian was just instinctive, he didn’t mean to be frivolous with Qiao Lan. He pursed his lips: “Sorry!”

Qiao Lan stood there petrified.

She looked down and saw the towel was on her lower abdomen, not covering anything that needed to be covered.

Ahhhhhhhh!!!

Qiao Lan screamed silently, her heart churning with waves, constantly impacting her brain. She lost her usual calmness and composure, pacing in place, wishing she could bang her head against the wall.

She thought about being seen by Mo Qian, and she was so ashamed and embarrassed that her face turned red. The blush spread from behind her ears to her toes, her whole body like a cooked shrimp.

She didn’t know how long it took, but Qiao Lan gradually calmed down, but her heart was still pounding uncontrollably.

She walked out of the bathroom with heavy steps.

Mo Qian had already placed the food on the small coffee table and prepared a cushion for her.

He looked at Qiao Lan calmly: “The pajamas fit you well, and they suit you.”

He chose a silk short-sleeved suit for Qiao Lan, cool and refreshing without being too revealing. The man’s taste was excellent.

Qiao Lan’s mood was complicated at this moment. She didn’t hear what the man said at all, and she absentmindedly hummed in response.

Mo Qian looked at the lingering blush on her face and didn’t say anything. He handed her a pair of chopsticks to eat.

The two ate in silence, the air filled with a dull and oppressive atmosphere.

In the end, it was Qiao Lan who broke the awkward silence: “That…”

Mo Qian said before she could: “I didn’t see anything.”

“…”

This explanation was a bit like a thief shouting “Stop thief!”

Qiao Lan awkwardly picked at her toes, but the deed was done. She could only numb herself and Mo Qian: “Let’s just forget what happened just now.”

“Okay.”

Qiao Lan asked, “How are we going to arrange tonight?”

Mo Qian said, “I just asked the front desk, and there are no extra rooms. I’ll sleep on the sofa, you sleep on the bed.”

Qiao Lan glanced at the sofa that was less than 1.5 meters long, then at the man’s tall and upright figure. He was about 1.85 meters tall, sleeping on it would be too cramped.

Qiao Lan said, “You’re too tall, the sofa will be cramped for you to sleep on. I’ll sleep on the sofa, you sleep on the bed.”

Mo Qian chuckled: “I’ll be cramped, you won’t be cramped sleeping on the sofa?”

Qiao Lan would be more spacious sleeping on the sofa than the man, but she would still have to curl her legs.

Qiao Lan helplessly spread her hands: “What are we going to do tonight? We can’t both sleep on the bed, right?”

Mo Qian raised an eyebrow: “If you don’t mind, I don’t mind either.”

Qiao Lan: “…”

She must have been kicked in the head by a donkey to say that.

“I’ll think about it.”

She ran to the bed and picked up her phone to scroll through videos.

She didn’t even notice that she was acting like an ostrich.

The doorbell rang again.

Qiao Lan bounced up like a spring: “I’ll open the door.”

Although she was scrolling through videos, she hadn’t paid attention to the content at all.

She desperately wanted to use this opportunity to breathe in the fresh air outside.

Qiao Lan opened the door, and a hotel service staff stood outside. She was carrying two blankets: “Are you the ones who ordered the blankets?”

Qiao Lan blinked in confusion: “I didn’t order any.”

Mo Qian’s voice came from behind: “I did, thank you.”

Qiao Lan saw the man take the blankets and spread them on the floor. She realized belatedly and asked, “Are you going to sleep on the floor?”

“Yeah, otherwise we’ll sleep on the bed together?”

Qiao Lan: “…”

She shouldn’t have asked that question.

Mo Qian spread out the blankets, Qiao Lan handed him a pillow: “The rain will stop tomorrow. Do we have any plans?”

Mo Qian thought for a moment: “The night market in this ancient town is very famous. Do you want to go take a look?”

Qiao Lan was a bit tempted: “Let’s go home after we visit the night market.”

This place was only an hour and a half away from Haishi. As long as it didn’t rain, it would be fine to go home after visiting.

She had developed a phobia of staying in hotels and really didn’t want to stay any longer.

Mo Qian hummed in agreement: “If nothing unexpected happens, we can still see the sunrise tomorrow. Get some rest early.”
