Hu Wen, Let Me Pinch Your Ear
“Hu Wen, let me pinch your ear.” Chapter 51

Chapter 51: The Love and Hate of the Previous Generation (Part 2)

A flash of panic crossed my stepmother’s face. I stared at her seriously, my gaze unwavering. “If you don’t tell me, I’ll either stay here and refuse to leave, or I’ll call the police!”

My stepmother was so furious that sparks seemed to fly from her eyes. The muscles in her cheeks twitched, and her teeth ground together audibly.

Xiao Dao, frantic, spun around in place, gesturing impatiently. “Mom, just tell us! Where is Dad?”

My stepmother’s chest heaved with anger. She slapped Xiao Dao on the back of the head and shouted, “Don’t call him Dad! That bastard Le Zhandong doesn’t deserve to be your father! From the very beginning, he never cared about us. The one he loved, the one he couldn’t stop thinking about, was this jinx’s mother!”

“Someone offered five million for Le Zhandong to call this jinx back home! Five million! Cold, hard cash! And he refused without a second thought!”

“Even when they held a knife to my throat and threatened him, I begged him to make the call, but that bastard Le Zhandong still wouldn’t call her!”

“My life meant nothing to him! You’re not allowed to call him Dad!”

“Mom, what are you talking about…” Xiao Dao couldn’t process what his mother was saying.

I sneered and shook my head. “Five million. So my life is worth that much.”

My stepmother spat at me venomously. “You shouldn’t have been born in the first place! Your mother ruined my life! I spent over twenty years with Le Zhandong, and it still couldn’t compare to his one-night stand with your mother! That five million is what you and your mother owe me for the emotional and youth you stole from me! Le Xiaomai, you’re nothing but a bastard child!”

Her words were like knives, each one cutting deep.

Wen Ye suddenly stood up, his fingers twitching as he flipped the heavy wooden coffee table over, baring his fangs as if he were about to tear out her throat.

Terrified, I grabbed Wen Ye’s arm and stepped in front of him.

My stepmother, pale with fear, shrank back to the far end of the sofa. “This is my house! How dare you act so recklessly here! If you lay a hand on me, I’ll make sure you regret it!”

I took a deep breath. “When you found out about my dad’s affair back then, you could have chosen not to marry him…”

“Why shouldn’t I have married him? Should I have just stood by and watched Le Zhandong and that vixen of a mother of yours fly off together… Ah!!”

Before she could finish, Wen Ye had already teleported in front of her, grabbing her by the hair, ready to sink his teeth into her neck.

“Wen Ye!” My heart leapt into my throat, and I shouted sharply, “Don’t do anything reckless!”

Wen Ye turned to look at me, his eyes glowing with a bloodthirsty red light. Xiao Dao, terrified, fell back onto the sofa.

“Ahhh!! A monster! He’s a monster! Let me go!” My stepmother screamed, thrashing wildly and slapping Wen Ye’s head and face.

I grabbed her wrist. “Enough! Watch your mouth!”

Wen Ye’s face was scratched by her nails, and I felt both heartache and anxiety. I pried his hands off her hair and jaw, speaking softly to calm him. “Wen Ye, look at me. Don’t act on impulse… We can’t let this escalate. Please, let go first, okay?”

The red light in Wen Ye’s eyes slowly faded. After a few seconds, he released her hair.

My stepmother staggered and fell to the floor. Xiao Dao, horrified, rushed over to help her up.

My stepmother cried and cursed Xiao Dao for ‘bringing a wolf into the house’ and for ‘going to find that jinx Le Xiaomai, who’s cursed you.’

I held Wen Ye’s hand and sat back in my original seat, frowning as I interrupted Stepmother’s sobbing, “The sooner you finish, the sooner we can leave. Your crying and making a scene is just delaying things.”

Xiaodao was caught in a dilemma, handing tissues to Stepmother while looking at me with a troubled expression, finally sighing deeply, “Mom, just tell her.”

Stepmother wiped her tears and sneered, “Le Zhandong refused to lure you back, so those people detained him, saying there would come a day when he would see reason.”

“They thought I was useless, gave me some hush money, and let me go.”

“Mom, how could you take their money, regardless of Dad…” Xiaodao said angrily.

Stepmother harshly interrupted him, “Shut up! Those people held a knife to my neck, and Le Zhandong didn’t care about my life! He didn’t care about our twenty years together, didn’t care about my life, so why should I care about him!”

“He willingly stayed detained for that harbinger of misfortune, Le Xiaomai, seeking death, so let him die!”

“Son, Mom has suffered enough,” she pointed at me, filled with rage, “It’s her! It’s her and her mother who turned me into this ghost of a person!”

“I could have had a happy marriage, our family of three could have been harmonious, but they ruined it all!”

“What mutual respect, what marital love, it’s all fake! Fake! Sleeping in the same bed but dreaming different dreams! For twenty years, Le Zhandong and I have truly been sleeping in the same bed but dreaming different dreams!”

“How did Mom get pregnant with you? Haha… I got that bastard Le Zhandong drunk, and only then did he touch me, but he was calling out another woman’s name! Some Yun! Haha! Your dad didn’t even know her full name, but he couldn’t forget her for over twenty years!”

“Mom was afraid of being looked down upon, afraid you would be affected by me and Le Zhandong, so I acted my whole life! Acted my whole life! Mom is really tired now!”

Her words were filled with sorrow, crying bitterly, then she turned to me, her eyes like a snake shooting out beams, wishing to pierce through me, gritting her teeth, “You want to know where your dad is? He’s at the old abandoned steel factory! Haha… maybe he’s already been chopped into mincemeat…”

Slap—I couldn’t bear it anymore and slapped her.

“When I found out my mom had interfered in your relationship with my dad, I felt sorry for you, even all the times you treated me poorly, I let it go, even felt I deserved it.”

“Now… I can only say all this is your own doing, if you were so miserable why didn’t you leave Le Zhandong! What’s so great about that scoundrel!”

“What right do you have to talk about him! Why should I leave Le Zhandong, he’s my man! We were about to get married, it was your mom who suddenly interfered! It’s all your mom’s fault! She shamelessly seduced my man! She shouldn’t have given birth to you, shouldn’t have brought you back! Ahhh! I’ll kill you!” Stepmother had lost all reason, grabbing my clothes.

I was wearing a shirt dress, and before I could dodge, she grabbed my collar, instantly popping off a few buttons, exposing my flesh-colored bra.

Wen Ye grabbed Stepmother’s wrist with one hand and quickly pressed down on my shirt collar with the other, shielding the view of my chest.

Xiaodao grabbed Stepmother, avoiding eye contact: “Sis, you and Boss Wen should go first. Mom has gone crazy, and I’m afraid I won’t be able to control her in a moment.”

I covered my chest and nodded: “Then I’ll head back first, Xiaodao. Don’t worry about Dad’s matter; I’ll handle it.”

“No…” Before Xiaodao could finish, Stepmother started howling and pulling at me like a mad dog.

Wen Ye shielded me in his arms, and with a wave of his hand, a surge of energy pushed her onto the sofa. Her eyes rolled back, and she fainted.

“Mom!” Both Xiaodao and I were stunned.
