Chapter 6: Tu Yuan Buries Her Face in Xie Yinhe’s Chest
Xie Yinhe probably guessed what was wrong with her. Acute gastroenteritis. She must have eaten something she shouldn’t have outside.
He was so angry!
Xie Yinhe was both angry and worried. Seeing her cry in pain, a wave of heartache washed over him.
He gently soothed her, “We’ll be at the hospital soon, just hold on.”
“Hmm!”
Tu Yuan bit her lip tightly, trying to hold back the pain.
If she vomited in Xie Yinhe’s car, she wouldn’t be able to afford to pay for it.
It was so uncomfortable.
The pain was unbearable.
If she wasn’t being held by Xie Yinhe, she would have jumped out of the car by now.
Just die, it’s over.
Suddenly, Tu Yuan grabbed three of Xie Yinhe’s fingers. His body temperature gave her a strange sense of security. She buried her face in his chest, leaning her whole body against him.
Under his suit, Xie Yinhe gently rubbed her back with his thumb, comforting her.
He had already called the emergency room for Tu Yuan. After arriving at the hospital, she was immediately diagnosed.
A few minutes later, Tu Yuan was lying in the hospital bed, starting her IV drip.
Xie Yinhe, wearing his wrinkled suit, sat by the bed, watching her pale and haggard face. His brows furrowed deeply.
Tu Yuan had only been at his house for less than 48 hours, and she was already in the hospital.
If Tu Yue found out, he might really throw him into the icy river.
Tu Yuan lay in the bed, feeling utterly defeated. “Brother Xie, I’m sorry!”
“You go back to sleep. I can manage on my own.”
It was so late at night, and he still brought her to the hospital. She was causing him so much trouble.
She had always eaten clean food as a child and was strictly controlled. Now she realized how fragile her stomach was.
She wouldn’t dare eat randomly outside anymore.
“Can’t sleep?” Xie Yinhe ignored her words.
“It still hurts a little.”
“Since you can’t sleep, I’ll tell you about the Xie family rules. Don’t eat random things outside, especially things without a hygiene permit.” Xie Yinhe stared at her pitiful expression, suddenly wondering if he was being too harsh.
She was still on IV drip. He should wait until she recovered before giving her a lecture.
She was already miserable enough.
He didn’t want to add insult to injury.
He wasn’t anyone to her. Tu Yuan was just staying at his house.
“Go to sleep.”
Xie Yinhe squeezed out a few cold words, “I’ll stay here and watch over you.”
“I’m sorry for worrying you. Can you not tell my brother about this?” Tu Yuan stretched out her hand from under the blanket, pulling at his sleeve. “Please, my brother will worry. He already has so many things on his mind. I don’t want to be a burden on him.”
How could she be a burden?
If Tu Yue had the ability and time to take care of Tu Yuan, he wouldn’t have left his sister at the house of his business rival.
“Okay, I won’t say anything.”
“Thank you!”
Tu Yuan silently retracted her hand and obediently received her IV drip.
At first, she stared at the bottle, then her eyelids started to flutter, and slowly closed.
When Tu Yuan woke up again, it was already bright outside.
Golden sunlight streamed in, illuminating the entire ward.
Xie Yinhe was lying on the sofa at the foot of the bed, his right hand resting on his forehead, blocking his eyes. His wrist bones protruded, his long, slender fingers stretched out casually, revealing faint blue veins on the back of his hand. His nails were neatly trimmed, his fingertips were pink and tender. Such a sexy hand.
Below that was his white neck, his suit casually draped over his chest, black pajamas covering his long, straight legs, hanging over the edge of the sofa.
What a tall man.
Xie Yinhe must be 188 cm tall, right?
Xie Yinhe was handsome, tall, wealthy, and talented. Why wasn’t he married yet?
Was it because the Xie family rules were too strict, and he was too old-fashioned and boring?
Xie Yinhe’s arm moved. Tu Yuan quickly closed her eyes.
She heard a faint sound, as if Xie Yinhe had stood up and was walking towards her.
Was he looking at her?
Should she wake up?
She was so embarrassed last night.
She almost vomited in Xie Yinhe’s car.
Tu Yuan frantically prayed for Xie Yinhe to leave.
Not only did he not leave, he even sat down by the bed.
No.
Wasn’t he a busy CEO?
Tu Yuan couldn’t pretend anymore. She slowly opened her eyes and met Xie Yinhe’s deep black eyes. “Brother Xie, good morning.”
Xie Yinhe didn’t expose her for pretending to be asleep. He asked with concern, “How are you feeling?”
“Much better.”
“Let the doctor come and check you again.”
“Okay.”
Tu Yuan immediately sat up, the blanket slipping off, revealing her white shoulders without warning in front of Xie Yinhe.
She didn’t seem to notice how revealing her clothes were. She lazily scratched her messy hair.
Xie Yinhe expressionlessly draped his suit over her. “Don’t catch a cold.”
“Thank you.”
She smiled sweetly and put on the suit.
Tu Yuan wrapped herself in Xie Yinhe’s suit, wanting to smell it. She felt like his suit might be fragrant too.
It couldn’t be, right?
If Xie Yinhe, a cold-faced CEO, went to work, attended meetings, and someone walked past him and smelled a fragrant scent.
Would he suspect he was gay?
Xie Yinhe looked like a straight man.
His suit, worn by Tu Yuan, was large and warm, barely covering her thighs. It was better this way, it wasn’t revealing.
The doctor arrived soon. After examining her, he gave Xie Yinhe a lot of medical instructions.
Tu Yuan listened silently, nodding her head. She shouldn’t eat randomly, she should drink more water, and her diet should be light for a while.
Okay.
She learned her lesson. She would never eat randomly again.
After the doctor left, Tu Yuan looked up at him. “Are you going to the company now?”
A CEO going to work in pajamas. Xie Yinhe would be the first in history, right?
“No.”
“Oh.”
Tu Yuan followed behind Xie Yinhe like a child who had done something wrong. “I’m sorry for causing you to miss work today.”
Xie Yinhe turned his head and glanced at her. “You know you’re wrong. Then go home before seven.”
“Isn’t it eight?”
Tu Yuan immediately jumped to his side, walking beside him. “Xie Yinhe, you’re breaking your promise! You clearly said eight last night.”
“Obviously, I made the wrong decision last night.”
“You—”
Tu Yuan stormed into the elevator, clutching the suit around her.
When you’re under someone’s roof, you have to follow their rules.
She would endure it!
Brother, please rise again soon.
I beg you.
She had to watch her words and actions in someone else’s house. She was weak, helpless, and pitiful.
Xie Yinhe saw Tu Yuan’s frustrated and helpless expression, and he couldn’t help but find her adorable.
Adorable doesn’t mean you can end up in the hospital.
When they got home, Aunt Wang surrounded Tu Yuan, checking on her everywhere. “Miss Tui, what happened to you? You looked so terrible last night! We were all scared to death!”
“Young Master was so worried. I’ve never seen him frown so deeply. He could have crushed a mosquito!”
Tu Yuan secretly glanced at Xie Yinhe’s back. “Aunt Wang, I’m fine. I just need to rest for a few days.”
“Okay, okay, rest! Your main task now is to rest. Are you hungry? I made you some light vegetable porridge.”
“What about him?”
“Young Master should be changing clothes. He’ll be down soon.”
The vegetable porridge tasted and felt just right. Tu Yuan drank two bowls, and when she went upstairs, she didn’t see Xie Yinhe come out of his room.
She returned to her room and lay weakly on the bed, fumbling around in the covers for her phone.
Messages kept popping up.
