Chapter 7: Resting at Home, Don’t Run Around
Most of it was from my brother. He asked where I earned the money and even transferred it back to me.
Tu Yuan called him, and he answered immediately.
Tu Yue questioned fiercely, “Tu Yuan! What did you do?”
“I went out to play the piano for people,” Tu Yuan sat on the edge of the bed, her head lowered, her voice soft. “I didn’t do anything bad, don’t worry, Brother Xie is watching over me. He’s so fierce, and he even put a curfew on me. I have to be home by seven o’clock every night.”
“Okay, okay, then be good and listen to me. Leave the money-making to your brother! Don’t worry about anything else. Just live like you used to, okay?”
Tu Yuan fiddled with her nails. “Brother, I was still in school before, but now I’ve graduated. I want to find a job too, otherwise, it’s pretty boring to stay at home all day.”
Especially since this wasn’t her home.
It was Xie Yinhe’s home!
Staying at someone else’s house, eating and sleeping, sleeping and eating all day, was she a pig?
“What kind of job! Work is so tiring. You’re in charge of playing. Sister, your brother is a bit busy, I’ll hang up.”
Tu Yuan: “…”
How could she have money to play with!
Tu Yuan fell back, sinking into the soft bed.
【Little Moon: Baozi! I’m going crazy with my graduation thesis lately. I only heard from my brother about your family going bankrupt. Are you okay?】
Wu Jiaoyue was Tu Yuan’s best friend. They had been in school together since kindergarten.
In high school, Wu Jiaoyue was addicted to the internet, her grades dropped, and then she was sent abroad by the Wu family to get a degree.
【Tu Yuan: I’m fine.】
【Little Moon: Do you have a place to stay? I’ll tell my brother, you can come stay at our house!】
【Tu Yuan: I have a place to stay, no need to trouble Brother Chaoyang. Come back soon, let’s play together.】
Only Wu Jiaoyue was a real friend, the others were fake.
As soon as the Tu family went bankrupt, no one contacted her.
【Little Moon: I want to, Baozi. Graduation is so hard here, ┭┮﹏┭┮ the pressure is so great, I feel like I’m losing a lot of hair lately! I’m going bald!】
【Tu Yuan: So pitiful~(,,′ω) ノ “(′っ ω`。)】
【Little Moon: I need to find a way to relieve the pressure. What are you doing?】
【Tu Yuan: I’m trying to make money. Why did I study business management? My family went bankrupt, there’s no business to manage! (;へ:)】
【Little Moon: Brother Yue is so useless! I despise him.】
【Tu Yuan: My own brother!】
【Little Moon: You’re so pretty, just debut! Who else can make money in the entertainment industry now!】
【Tu Yuan: My beauty is my advantage, my acting is my disadvantage. If I debut in the morning, I’ll be scolded off the stage in the afternoon for my bad acting.】
【Little Moon: Live stream, you don’t need acting skills. You’re so pretty, just sit there, and there will be big brothers giving you gifts!】
【Tu Yuan: I’m afraid my brother will see it.】
【Little Moon: Does he even have time to watch live streams now?】
That makes sense!
A sudden realization.
Tu Yuan quickly bought live streaming equipment online, then contentedly went back to sleep.
Seven o’clock curfew, going out to work, and getting stuck in traffic on the way home after work would mean missing the curfew!
If he wouldn’t let her go out, she wouldn’t go out.
Tu Yuan was half asleep, and there seemed to be some movement downstairs. She wanted to wake up but couldn’t.
Downstairs, Aunt Wang was directing the servants to move things into the house.
Those things were bought for Tu Yuan according to Xie Yinhe’s instructions.
Tu Yuan forced her eyelids open. She hurried to wash up. As soon as she opened the door, Aunt Wang came in with a cheerful smile.
The servants, carrying new clothes, shoes, bags, and other things, filed in.
She stood in the corridor, her eyes blank.
Aunt Wang stood beside her, “Miss Tu, these are all prepared for you by the young master. The young master said that girls should dress up beautifully.”
The young master didn’t say it, but they, as servants, had to be perceptive!
The young master prepared these for Miss Tu, there was a meaning behind it.
It was their mandatory course, to understand the master’s mind!
Tu Yuan was numb.
These things must have cost a lot of money.
She had only just written down the cost of last night’s treatment. So much money, brother, you have to work hard.
Aunt Wang: “The young master is waiting for Miss Tu downstairs for dinner. Miss Tu, please go down quickly, don’t keep the young master waiting.”
Tu Yuan looked at the servants who were still carrying things in, “More?”
“Yes! A lot.”
The room Tu Yuan was staying in was also very large, with a bedroom, a walk-in closet, a bathroom, a washroom, and a small balcony, a total of seventy square meters.
It could hold a lot of things.
Tu Yuan yawned and went downstairs. When she saw Xie Yinhe, she held back her yawn.
The sharp edges of his profile, the high bridge of his nose, the lips of moderate thickness, every inch of him exuded elegance and nobility.
How could he be so handsome!
Even the light favored him.
People are compared, making people die of envy. Her brother looked decent, but in terms of temperament, he lost by a mile!
“Come over and eat.”
“Oh.”
Tu Yuan obediently sat opposite Xie Yinhe. The dishes on the table today were different from before, there were some she liked.
Unfortunately, her appetite wasn’t very good, so she only ate a little.
After lunch, a glass of water and medicine were placed in front of her.
Tu Yuan looked up along the long, white hand, “Brother Xie, I’ll drink it later.”
Xie Yinhe’s fingertips tapped lightly on the table, “I’ll watch you drink.”
A medicine-drinking reluctant person said, you’re cruel!
Being at someone else’s house was not like being at home, where she could be cute and act silly.
Tu Yuan drank the medicine with a stiff face.
“Ugh~”
“Ugh~”
She covered her mouth, quietly raising her eyes, Xie Yinhe’s face was cold and dark.
She shook her head, “No, I didn’t spit.”
She wanted to, but she held it back.
Xie Yinhe was about to pat her on the back, but seeing that she seemed to have recovered, he put down his hand, “If you don’t want to take medicine, then get your body well.”
Tu Yuan squeezed out a wry smile, “Yeah, Brother Xie is right.”
“Rest at home, don’t run around.”
“Yeah!”
“Go for a walk, breathe some fresh air.”
“Yeah.”
Who said Xie Yinhe was taciturn? He talked quite a bit, didn’t he?
Like an old lady.
If he dated, he’d definitely be a dad-like boyfriend.
“Where’s your phone?”
Tu Yuan pointed upwards with her finger, “Upstairs.”
A phone was handed to her, even the dial screen was thoughtfully opened.
“Enter your number.”
Tu Yuan didn’t take the phone, Xie Yinhe held it, she lightly touched the screen with her fingertips, dialed, and then hung up.
Xie Yinhe took back the phone, saving the name while saying, “Same number for WeChat, I’ll add you, remember to accept.”
“Yeah.”
“Contact me if you need anything.”
“Yeah.”
“I’m going to work.”
“Yeah.”
Xie Yinhe’s cold gaze fixed on the back of her head, was she a robot?
Only able to say “yeah” “yeah” “yeah”.
After Xie Yinhe left, Tu Yuan stretched, when the mountain has no tiger, the monkey is the king.
“Miss Tu, the young master asked me to take you for a walk.”
Aunt Wang was so kind, how could she refuse?
Jingshan Manor had a prime location, quiet amidst the bustle. There were three large gates in total. Outside was a bustling street, but once the gates were closed, entering the interior, the environment was quiet and serene, with many flowers and plants planted.
It was bigger than the Tu family’s previous house.
Breathing fresh air really helped.
Tu Yuan couldn’t help but sigh, “Thank goodness for my brother’s thick skin, otherwise, how could I continue to live in a big villa…”
Aunt Wang: “If it weren’t for Master Tu, Miss Tu wouldn’t have gone bankrupt.”
Tu Yuan: “…”
That hit the spot.
Aunt Wang: “I’m being too talkative.”
Tu Yuan quickly changed her tone and roared, “It’s all my brother’s fault! Otherwise, I could still be lying in my own bed, living in my own big villa!!”
Aunt Wang: “Miss Tu can treat this place as your own home.”
Would she dare?
She wouldn’t dare!
