Chapter 29: Jiang Wan, Help Me!

“Shen Qian!”

She was furious. Shen Qian had actually pushed her down just to save herself. She hurriedly scrambled back to her feet.

But it was already too late. The wolf was almost upon her and Jiang Wan. Jiang Wan gripped the dagger tightly in her hand and dragged Song Jiuli as she ran desperately.

“Big Sister-in-law!”

Song Jiuli was about to cry. “Let go of me and run by yourself. If something happens to me, please take care of my mother.”

Not just the exiles—even the officials stared at her in shock.

Jiang Wan leapt down from the tree calmly and rubbed her nose as she gave a clumsy excuse.

“I’ve liked these things since I was a child. The Minister thought I was too unladylike, so he kept me confined at home.”
