Due to a mild cold, Sheng Xia went to bed early after Feng Yan watched her take medicine.
However, the weather took a turn for the worse, and in the middle of the night, a sudden heavy rainstorm erupted. The sound of raindrops hitting the window, accompanied by the roaring thunder and the wild sea wind, disrupted her sleep.
As the room temperature dropped, she semi-consciously sought warmth, and ended up snuggling into Feng Yan’s embrace. Feeling the warmth, she couldn’t help but sigh softly.
Resting against his broad chest, Sheng Xia felt a strange stiffness. Unsatisfied, she nudged against him and adjusted to a more comfortable position.
In her hazy consciousness, a faint sigh reached her ears, and with the sound of the air conditioner turning on, the room became warm.
Sheng Xia could feel a hand gently patting her back, and under this comforting touch, she unconsciously relaxed and drifted back into the realm of dreams.
However, when she was awakened by the system’s alert sound, Sheng Xia sensed that something was not right.
Having hardly ever been sick, she now felt a headache, a dry throat, and an uncomfortable overall sensation.
As if aware that she was not feeling well, even the system’s reporting voice became more cautious: “Host, you have a fever. Your body temperature has reached 38.4 degrees. Please take medication promptly.”
At that moment, a large and cool hand covered her forehead. Sheng Xia instinctively snuggled against it, grabbing onto his hand unwilling to let go.
Feeling the warmth on her forehead, Feng Yan furrowed his brows.
He sensed that Sheng Xia’s body was gradually becoming warmer while holding her in his arms, which startled him awake.
It seemed that yesterday’s excitement, combined with her weakened state, and the sudden heavy rain in the middle of the night, had led to her having a fever.
Unlike her usual feigned illness, she looked pale without a trace of color in her face. Her eyes appeared weak, and her breathing became faint. She clung to him as if seeking comfort and appeared both dependent and coquettish. The grip of her fingers seemed delicate, as if a slight movement could break free. It gave an inexplicable sense of helplessness and the need for protection.
“Xiaxia, you have a fever. I need to get the thermometer and medicine.”
Maintaining this posture without moving, Feng Yan whispered a gentle reminder.
It was unclear whether Sheng Xia had heard him or not, but all he could see were her long eyelashes trembling slightly, fluttering like the wings of a butterfly, carrying a hint of unease.
With her holding onto his fingers, the grip seemed to tighten slightly.
Unable to do much, Feng Yan had to call Feng Jingxu and ask him to bring a thermometer and fever-reducing medicine.
After connecting the call, the voice on the other end was dry and hoarse: “… What’s wrong?”
Feng Yan paused slightly, “Xiaoxu, are you also sick?”
“No, I just didn’t sleep well last night and have a headache,” Feng Jingxu’s voice was a bit nasal, but still spirited, “Xiaxia has a fever? I’m coming over.”
Thinking about how Feng Jingxu waded through the sea to save the children last night and got scared afterwards, Feng Yan furrowed his brows and reminded, “It rained last night, and it’s cooler now. Measure your body temperature first.”
Feng Jingxu finally became more aware, dismissing it nonchalantly, “What could happen to me? I’m not Xiaxia; my body isn’t that weak. Alright, you guys wait for me in the room.”
Without waiting for Feng Yan to respond, the call was disconnected.
Feng Yan sighed and rubbed his temples. He then gently supported Sheng Xia to sit up. Sheng Xia felt a chill all over her body, but sensing the warmth of the man’s breath enveloping her, she instinctively leaned closer to this human heater, taking a few sips of hot water.
The hand behind her paused for a moment, then slowly moved upward, finally resting on the back of her neck.
The fingertips seemed to absorb her warmth, becoming warm themselves.
Before long, a knock came from outside the room, signaling Feng Jingxu’s arrival.
After waiting for him to come in, it was obvious to see the young man. His cheeks were slightly red, and his nose was also red. As he handed over the fever-reducing medicine and electronic thermometer, he furrowed his brows and asked, “How is she now? Should we take her to the hospital?”
Seeing his appearance, Feng Yan asked again, “Have you checked your own temperature?”
Feng Jingxu looked at his dad speechlessly, muttered, “it isn’t that hot,” but still measured his own temperature first.
After a few minutes, he didn’t hear any reminder sounds.
He wondered, took it out, and looked at it: “Is this thermometer broken? Why isn’t it showing the temperature?”
Feng Yan silently took out the thermometer, lowered his head and looked: 12 volts.
—Surprisingly, this is actually a voltage tester.
Great, another patient added.
Sheng Xia was drinking water and almost choked. Enduring the headache, she sneered, “Xiao Xu, are you wearing colorful clothes to entertain Mom and trying to make her happy?”
Feng Jingxu: “…”
Half an hour later, the two patients were sent back to their respective rooms to rest.
Upon hearing the news, the guests came over to express their concern. Fortunately, when the doctor came, he found that the two had only caught a slight fever due to the sudden drop in temperature last night. Resting for two days would be fine.
It was chaotic for a while until nearing noon when things finally settled down.
Seeing that the two were fine, everyone breathed a sigh of relief, and then they started discussing how to go back.
Originally, today was supposed to record the third episode…

Continuing from the previous segment, due to the illness of the two, the program had to be temporarily put on hold. They only managed to record a simple scene where the children presented gifts to their parents, considering it as the end of this episode.
The twins, working together, created an artwork using seashells.
Under the guidance of their little aunt, their painting skills had greatly improved, vividly depicting a sandcastle from the beach.
Sheng Xia happily received the artwork.
As Sheng Xia and Feng Jingxu were not currently fit to leave, they had to wait until they recovered before returning home. After bidding farewell to them, the production team left with the other guests on the plane.
After the twins finished visiting their brother and then their mom, they anxiously leaned over the bed, showing only their two little heads. “Mom, do you still have a headache? Do you want some water?”
After some thought, Feng Xuchen seriously said, “Yes, drink more hot water to get better!”
After eating a little, Sheng Xia felt a bit better. Hearing her son’s familiar words, she couldn’t help but be amused. She lazily pinched his little round face.
“I didn’t expect it. Our little Chen Chen is already revealing his straight male nature at such a young age.”
Feng Xuchen: ?
