Chi Yi and Shen Ge ran back to the classroom as the bell rang. As soon as they sat down, the English teacher walked in from the door: “Take out the test paper you finished last time, turn to the reading comprehension, and start with the group at the wall. Each person will turn over a sentence.”
The train-head stood up with a bitter face and began to distort the author’s meaning[1]from the comprehension with a stammering voice.
Chi Yi sat by the window, the farthest away from the train-head student. No matter how he calculated it, it would not be his turn. So among the students who were bowing their heads and pretending to be quails, Chi Yi quietly looked up and watched the excitement with a clear conscience.
Tian Zihao used to sit behind Lu Zhiyu and Shen Ge, but now there was only a corridor between him and Shen Ge. When the teacher looked at the first group, he quickly threw a ball of paper to Shen Ge. Shen Ge hurriedly caught it and opened it. It said: Lu Zhiyu asked me to ask you, did you go to see Dafu with Chi Yi during the break?
Shen Ge put away the note and found that Lu Zhiyu was peeking at him. When Shen Ge found out, she turned her head away immediately. Shen Ge glanced at the teacher, leaned down to the corridor and asked Tian Zihao: “Why didn’t she ask me herself?”
Tian Zihao poked Lu Zhiyu’s back with the pen cap: “Shen Ge asked me to ask you why you didn’t talk to him yourself.” After saying that, Tian Zihao glanced at Shen Ge, not understanding what the two of them were doing: “I say, can you two stop using me as a messenger? I’m so tired.”
Lu Zhiyu was probably still angry about the fact that he suddenly became a deskmate with Chi Yi, but she didn’t dare to speak loudly, so she just wrote on the note: Let’s talk after class.
Chi Yi looked at Shen Ge’s busy appearance and pushed the paper he had written down to Shen Ge: “There was an uncommon word just now, and I wrote the meaning next to it.”
Shen Ge moved Chi Yi’s paper over and found that there were indeed words he didn’t know, so he immediately copied them on his own paper and said thank you in a low voice.
As soon as the bell rang, Tian Zihao and Lu Zhiyu gathered around Chi Yi and Shen Ge’s desks. Chi Yi saw that Shen Ge’s water cup was empty, so he stood up and pushed Shen Ge’s shoulders with both hands, saying, “You guys chat, I’ll go get some water.”
Chi Yi went out with two cups of water. Tian Zihao looked at Chi Yi’s back curiously and found it unbelievable: “Shen Ge, how do you two get along peacefully?” He thought that in a situation like him and Chi Yi, where the two were real and fake young masters of a wealthy family, Chi Yi would have to frame Shen Ge, or compete for favor in front of his parents to make Shen Ge sad in order to maintain his position.
But now it seems that these two people have a good relationship?
The classmates around seemed to be chatting, but in fact they were all quietly pricking up their ears, wanting to hear what Shen Ge had to say.
That’s gossip about wealthy families!
It seems that many people have some misunderstandings about his relationship with Chi Yi and Chi Yi’s personality, but this is understandable. Shen Ge told Tian Zihao about what happened after he returned home, and in order to clarify for Chi Yi, he also mentioned what happened in Yinghua.
”That’s about it. Later I heard from my dad that Chi Yi even came back to school just to help me vent my anger. Actually, nothing serious happened to me. I was quite embarrassed about this.” When talking about the swimming pool incident, the smile on Shen Ge’s face diminished a little, but he didn’t want others to have a bad impression of Chi Yi, so he said it anyway.
It’s just that other people’s reactions seemed different from what he expected?
Tian Zihao slammed his hand on the table: “Damn it, your school doesn’t care about them bullying you like this? Chi Yi is such a man!”
”What about your biological dad? He doesn’t care even though you’re like this. Chi Yi wasn’t like this in school before, was he? Shen Ge, I think you’d better not go back to that family. They may be rich, but what kind of life are they living?” Lu Zhiyu came over, forgetting that she was still angry, and followed Tian Zihao to scold those who bullied Shen Ge.
When Chi Yi came back, his classmates’ eyes suddenly softened when they looked at him, which made Chi Yi a little confused. It was Tian Zihao who solved his doubts: “Brother, you are good.”
Tian Zihao gave Chi Yi a thumbs up and nodded seriously, but Lu Zhiyu grabbed his school uniform and pulled him away: “What happened next? Was Wei Zexiao punished?”
Punishment? Chi Yi thought about what Lu Zhiyu said and said, “The school gave him a disciplinary punishment. It seems that his family also lost a business. I guess he was severely beaten by his father.” Speaking of it, although Chi’s father was angry during those days, he seemed a little proud. It was probably because he had used some tricks to make the Wei family fall into a big trap.
”That’s good.” Lu Zhiyu was relieved and pointed at Shen Ge and said to Chi Yi, “I was this guy’s former deskmate. He told you. He suddenly said he wanted to transfer to another school, and we only took care of Dafu occasionally. By the way, Tian Zihao, where did you put the cat food? Take it out and see how much is left.”
Tian Zihao raised his chin towards Lu Zhiyu, as if to say, “It’s in a cabinet in the equipment room. I hid it very well. I’ll take you to see it during the physical education class this afternoon.”
Lu Zhiyu was overwhelmed by Tian Zihao’s greasy attitude and asked him uncertainly, “Equipment room? Aren’t you afraid that it will be eaten by mice? Besides, that’s where the sports equipment is stored. What if a teacher finds it? No, no, let’s go to another place this afternoon.”
