Pregnant With The Male Lead’s Great Uncle’s Baby [Interstellar]
Pregnant With The Male Lead’s Great Uncle’s Baby [Interstellar] Chapter 1

☆ Chapter 1

When Ling Shaoze came back to his senses, he found himself dressed in a white tuxedo, attending a banquet, holding a half-finished glass of red wine in his right hand.

What was going on? Wasn’t he supposed to be dead? Even if, by some miracle, he had been resuscitated again, as someone with a severe heart condition, he should be lying in a hospital’s intensive care unit.

His head spun, and a flood of familiar yet strange memories surged into his mind…

Ling Shaoze swayed slightly, needing a moment before regaining his composure.

A waiter came over, trying to steady him, and asked with concern, “Sir, have you had too much to drink? Would you like me to help you to the lounge upstairs to rest?”

Ling Shaoze looked up and smiled at the waiter. “No need. Could you please tell me where the restroom and the back door are?”

The youth’s exquisitely beautiful face was so striking it bordered on enchanting. His slightly tipsy peach blossom eyes shimmered with allure, with a touch of captivating redness at the corners.

When he smiled slightly, it was even more mesmerizing.

The waiter was momentarily stunned before quickly pointing out the directions to the restroom and the back door.

Ling Shaoze thanked him, placed his half-finished wine glass on the waiter’s tray, and briskly walked toward the restroom.

In front of the sink, Ling Shaoze first washed his hands clean, then cupped his hands to drink several handfuls of cold water to dilute the spiked wine in his stomach. After splashing some water on his face, the heat from the wine he had drunk earlier finally started to subside a little.

The mirror above the sink clearly reflected Ling Shaoze’s current appearance—his features were almost identical to those of his past life, but his skin was fair with a healthy flush, not the sickly pale complexion he was used to.

In his previous life, Ling Shaoze had been a pampered young master from a wealthy family, but he suffered from a congenital heart condition. His family never allowed him to engage in any strenuous activity.

When bored, he liked to read all kinds of melodramatic web novels for entertainment. Lately, body-transmigration novels had been trending, and he specifically looked for stories with a character sharing his name. Unexpectedly, he really did transmigrate into one.

And he just so happened to land inside a melodramatic interstellar child bearing novel he had recently read—The Interstellar Evil Young Master’s White Moonlight Is Reborn—becoming the cannon fodder, disgraceful bottom-side character with the same name: Ling Shaoze, the stand-in for the protagonist gong’s beloved “white moonlight.”

In the story, the protagonist shou, Song Qinghe, was a small-time actor in the entertainment industry. In his first life, he looked down on He Yuteng, the rakish heir who relied on his family’s influence, and instead chose to be with his true love—a poor senior schoolmate. The two fell in love and lived together for seven years. Song Qinghe gave up many career opportunities and resources for his boyfriend, eventually quitting the entertainment industry altogether to become the devoted househusband behind a successful man. And indeed, his boyfriend’s career flourished.

When his boyfriend won the Best Actor award and Song Qinghe was preparing to discuss marriage and going public with their relationship, he came home early one day—only to find his boyfriend in their master bedroom, the bed they had made love on countless times, entangled with another little vixen.

That “vixen” turned out to be his best male friend.

Enraged, Song Qinghe killed both the cheating boyfriend and the backstabbing best friend, then took his own life. As a result, he was reborn seven years into the past, just when he had started living together with that scumbag boyfriend.

After his rebirth, Song Qinghe naturally broke up with the scumbag immediately, and ruthlessly went after both the ex and the traitorous friend for revenge. He believed that even though He Yuteng—his persistent pursuer—was a notorious playboy with a revolving door of lovers and a clear record of being trash, at least his feelings for Song Qinghe were sincere. More importantly, with a wealthy young master like He Yuteng as his backer, Song Qinghe—an eighteenth-tier nobody in the entertainment world—could rise to fame quickly.

So, after being reborn, Song Qinghe chose to be with He Yuteng and gradually turned him from a promiscuous player into a loyal, devoted “puppy” of a lover.

As for Ling Shaoze—he was the stand-in for He Yuteng’s “white moonlight,” Song Qinghe. He bore a three- or four-tenths resemblance to Song Qinghe.

But unlike Song Qinghe’s cool and ethereal fairy-like aura, like a snow lotus blooming on a high mountain, Ling Shaoze was a vibrant, seductive red rose, dazzling and full of allure.

Ling Shaoze had been He Yuteng’s junior in university and had fallen head over heels for him at first sight. He pursued He Yuteng passionately and devotedly.

If not for Ling Shaoze’s nouveau riche father who “had a mine at home,” and a deceased mother with an impressive background, He Yuteng—though from the prestigious He family of the Empire—was merely the least favored youngest son. He would have already taken Ling Shaoze as a kept lover long ago.

Afraid that getting physically involved with Ling Shaoze would mean having to take responsibility, He Yuteng strung him along, unwilling to reject him outright. Since he couldn’t have Song Qinghe, having someone around who looked a bit like him—such as Ling Shaoze—offering affection wasn’t a bad consolation.

But Ling Shaoze, not knowing better, ended up degrading himself. He deliberately drank the spiked wine and went to the second-floor lounge to offer himself to He Yuteng. And a man like He Yuteng, never known for his morals, would of course never turn down such a tempting offer.

Ling Shaoze thought that once they had slept together, He Yuteng would have no choice but to marry him.

And truth be told, Ling Shaoze had indeed nearly succeeded.

Because of that one glass of spiked wine, the two ended up having drunken sex. And once became twice, and then many more times… A few months later, Ling Shaoze, who had secretly undergone body modification surgery that allowed men to become pregnant, found himself with child. Relying on both the pregnancy and his family background, he managed to secure a higher position—he got engaged to He Yuteng, planning to marry after giving birth.

Unfortunately, just before the baby was due, he had an accident and both he and the child died.

After Song Qinghe was reborn, since he didn’t want to undergo the same surgery himself—worried it would ruin his figure and delay his career—and also concerned that children born via artificial wombs might not be as gifted as naturally conceived ones, he waited near the location where the accident had occurred in his previous life and managed to save Ling Shaoze… or rather, the baby in his womb.

It was a life-or-death decision: save the mother or save the child. If they chose to save Ling Shaoze, the baby wouldn’t survive. If they chose the baby, the mother would die.

By then, He Yuteng had already been secretly seeing the reborn Song Qinghe—his “official” white moonlight—for two or three months, but hadn’t yet come clean with Ling Shaoze, who was heavily pregnant and close to giving birth.

He Yuteng was already extremely tired of Ling Shaoze, who had thrown himself at him and used the pregnancy to force a marriage. He was trying to figure out how to break off the engagement without offending the powerful Ling family.

Faced with this situation, Song Qinghe handed the choice over to He Yuteng. And He Yuteng, without the slightest hesitation, chose to save the child.

He Yuteng thought his white moonlight, Song Qinghe, was unbelievably kind-hearted—for not only saving his love rival, but also treating the rival’s child as his own. This only made him admire and cherish Song Qinghe even more.

Thinking back on this melodramatic plot and how the original Ling Shaoze either died in a tragic accident with his unborn child or was unknowingly used as a surrogate before being discarded…

The transmigrated Ling Shaoze was extremely thankful—thank goodness he had only just drunk the spiked wine and hadn’t actually slept with He Yuteng yet!

Who knew what kind of potent drug the original had mixed into that wine? Ling Shaoze had only been clear-headed for a few minutes before waves of heat started flooding through his body again.

Damn it! There’s no way this young master is throwing himself at that scumbag! Not in this lifetime! To hell with the plot!

Ling Shaoze splashed more cold water on his face and even pinched his own arm hard, using the pain to clear his mind a little, then made his way toward the back door.

He planned to leave.

Tonight’s banquet was being held at the He family estate in celebration of the 220th birthday of Old General He Zhengxin—He Yuteng’s great-grandfather. It was said that Marshal He Yiyuan (He Yuteng’s great-uncle/second grandfather), who had just returned from the border after over 20 years of war with the Zerg, would also be attending. All the major figures of Cang Nuo Empire’s Imperial Capital Star upper society were here, and the event was extremely lively.

Old Master He was in poor health and had only made a brief appearance during the first half hour of the banquet before going to rest.

Marshal He Yiyuan had a cold personality and disliked socializing. He never accepted media interviews or made public appearances. Logically, since he was in the capital, there was no way he would skip his own father’s birthday banquet. Yet, from the beginning of the event until now, no one had seen any sign of His Excellency the Marshal.

This Marshal was the strongest pillar of the He family. It was precisely because of his presence that younger members like He Yuteng could indulge in a life of debauchery, splurging on sugar babies, showering his white moonlight with gifts, and offending anyone he didn’t like without consequences.

Ling Shaoze, having finally transmigrated to this interstellar world where the average lifespan was 300 years, actually did want to see what this legendary Marshal—so badass in the novel—looked like in real life. But now wasn’t the time, so he could only give up the thought for now.

His legs were weak, steps unsteady, but after much effort, Ling Shaoze made it to the back door—only to find out it didn’t lead to the parking lot as he had hoped, but to the back garden of the estate.

Thinking carefully, Ling Shaoze recalled that at this point in the plot, He Yuteng was probably in the second-floor lounge flirting with a cute male attendant he’d just laid his eyes on. If it weren’t for the original Ling Shaoze barging in and forcefully kicking out that opportunistic part-time server, He Yuteng would’ve already been rolling around in the sheets with him.

And it was precisely because the original had driven away He Yuteng’s chosen prey that, in his tipsy and lust-fueled state, He Yuteng turned his gaze on the wine-doped school junior—who just so happened to have a face that faintly resembled his white moonlight, but with a fiery personality and seductive charm that were completely different…

With the alcohol and hormones hitting hard, He Yuteng forgot all about the cute attendant he’d been cuddling moments before and pounced like a starving wolf.

In the original novel, the protagonist shou wasn’t set to be reborn for several more months, and without the original Ling Shaoze’s interruption, He Yuteng would’ve just spent one night with the cute server, both of them perfectly willing.

And surely, a protagonist gong wouldn’t finish in just a few minutes, right?

So as long as Ling Shaoze didn’t take the initiative to go upstairs, there was no immediate danger of running into He Yuteng.

Ling Shaoze remembered his strongest reaction when he read this melodramatic novel in his previous life—envy. Envy that all these people had such a rich and dramatic love lives, and such colorful sex lives, too!

As a terminal heart patient who could drop dead any moment, he had never dared to fall in love—afraid his death would leave someone heartbroken. His family kept him on a tight leash, and he never even got the chance to experiment or mess around…

So by the time he died at twenty, Ling Shaoze was still a virgin and had never dared to come out as gay.

Honestly, it was kind of tragic.

But in this life, he had a healthy body, and a nouveau riche father who gave him loads of spending money but didn’t care what he did…

Suddenly, Ling Shaoze’s eyes lit up—

A life of wild, no-strings-attached debauchery was calling his name! He was going to be a carefree heartless flirt who played across the stars!

Just as he was thinking that, a tall, long-legged hottie walked toward the back door, seemingly on his way to the banquet hall.

As the man approached, Ling Shaoze got a good look at his face. He was tall—easily over 190 cm—with broad shoulders, a lean waist, narrow hips, and long legs. His proportions were absolutely perfect. His features were cold and sharp, and his presence intense. He looked exactly like the kind of physique and face the frail, sickly Ling Shaoze of his past life had always dreamed of having.

In this life, Ling Shaoze still looked like a slender, youthful boy—there was no way he could ever become this kind of tall, rugged, manly type. But! He could have a wonderful night with such a drop-dead gorgeous hunk!

So, when the man walked past him, Ling Shaoze, who had been leaning against the back door wall, immediately lunged forward and wrapped his arms tightly around the waist of this walking dreamboat, enthusiastically offering:
“Hey handsome, wanna hook up?”

Marshal He Yi: …?!

He Yi’s face turned cold. Without hesitation, he shoved the boy off him and said icily, “No. Get lost.”

He Yi could tell the youth’s physical stats weren’t great, so he controlled his strength—enough to push him away without really hurting him.

But after just two steps, the boy—who’d landed on the ground—shamelessly clung to his leg from the side, voice going soft and pitiful:
“Handsome gege, I feel so hot… I’m really uncomfortable… I think I’ve been drugged. Can’t you please help me? Wuuwuu…”

Only then did He Yi recall that when he’d felt the kid’s fiery gaze earlier and casually glanced back, the boy really had looked a bit off-color.

As the host family, it wouldn’t look good if a guest had an incident at Old Master He’s birthday banquet.

Frowning, He Yi pried the boy’s arms off his leg again, but this time didn’t shove him away. Instead, he grabbed his arm through his sleeve and said, “Come with me. I’ll take you to the infirmary.”

Ling Shaoze: …?!

Who the hell wants to see a doctor? I’m trying to sleep with you!

But yeah… this wasn’t exactly the time or place for that.

The infirmary, huh? That could work.

Ling Shaoze, mind full of dirty thoughts, gave a sweet and innocent smile and obediently replied, “Okay, handsome gege, I’ll go with you.”

He Yi led Ling Shaoze through an internal corridor that didn’t pass through the main hall.

On the way, Ling Shaoze took the chance to fish for some intel:
“Handsome gege, do you have a partner?”

He Yi didn’t respond, so Ling Shaoze clung to his arm and kept asking:
“Come on~ tell me, good gege~”

That “gege” had clearly leveled up in affection.

He Yi’s temple twitched. He forcefully shook off the boy’s hand and growled, “No. And I don’t plan to find one. Shut up. If you keep talking, I’ll leave you here.”

Ling Shaoze instantly zipped it and quietly followed behind the man into the elevator.

But in his heart:
Hehehehe… Excellent. Man, you’ve caught my eye. Tonight, you’re mine~

Before long, they reached the infirmary on the fourth floor.
