When Fu Zhengtu’s kiss landed on Su Taotao’s earlobe, she thought she was dreaming.
This body was truly too sensual, even making her desires much stronger than in her previous life.
They had clearly done it both last night and this morning, yet now even in her dreams, she couldn’t find peace.
Su Taotao resigned herself, following the thoughts in her heart, and with her eyes closed, she hugged Fu Zhengtu and kissed him messily.
Fu Zhengtu’s palm cupped her chin, but she broke free, latching onto his Adam’s apple and sucking. He hadn’t originally intended to do anything, but under the moonlight, her earlobe was exquisitely white, and he had impulsively leaned over to kiss it, not expecting such a strong reaction from her.
Hearing her involuntary swallowing sounds, Fu Zhengtu held her slender waist in his arms, whispering against her earlobe, “Do you know what you’re doing?”
Su Taotao thought, this legal bed partner was much more talkative in her dreams than in reality. As punishment, she bit down on his Adam’s apple, muttering, “You talk too much.”
Fu Zhengtu: “…” In his twenty-odd years of life, she was the first person to嫌弃 (xiánqì – dislike, complain about) him for talking too much.
Fu Zhengtu reached out and took a condom from the nightstand, flipped her over and pinned her down, silencing her rosy lips with a kiss…
In her half-dreaming, half-awake state, Su Taotao didn’t realize she was doing something “bad.” She was actually ten times more passionate than when she was awake, almost making Fu Zhengtu unable to handle it.
This affair of passion was evenly matched, thorough, and satisfying for both.
The next day, Su Taotao woke up on the dot with her biological clock. Her body felt a little sore, but dry and comfortable. She seemed to have had an indescribable dream, and after the ultimate pleasure came the ultimate sleep, and she actually slept incredibly soundly.
Su Taotao sighed, feeling like she had堕落 (duòluò – degenerated, fallen), with that kind of thing constantly on her mind.
The space beside her in the quilt was still cold. Fu Zhengtu didn’t know when he had come back to sleep, or how long he had been awake.
It wasn’t until she accidentally knocked over the trash can, and a used condom fell out.
She had emptied the trash can before going to bed last night. All the used condoms from yesterday couldn’t possibly still be in the trash can, which meant the indescribable event last night wasn’t a dream, but…
Su Taotao scratched her head with both hands, feeling a bit like crying but without tears. Was she a little too孟浪 (mènglang – rash, impetuous) last night?
Upon closer thought, it wasn’t a little, it was very!
Oh well, he probably wouldn’t care anyway, and she didn’t care what he thought of her. She would do whatever felt comfortable. No matter what, she couldn’t be as reserved as the women of this era.
The small courtyard was filled with the rising smoke of cooking in the morning, full of the atmosphere of everyday life. The diligent Zhou Linglan was already preparing breakfast for the family.
Fu Yuanhang came out of the kitchen carrying a plate, ready to go change the goat’s milk.
Su Taotao called out to him, “Xiaohang, come here. We’ll drink malted milk essence today, not goat’s milk tea.”
Fu Yuanhang looked at his gentle-eyed sister-in-law and unconsciously curved his eyes into a smile. “Does Sister-in-law have something you need me to do?”
Su Taotao lazily found a small stool to sit on and patted the other small stool beside her. “Come sit down.”
Without suspecting anything, Fu Yuanhang went and sat down beside her.
Su Taotao rested her head on her palm, half-closing her eyes, looking at Fu Yuanhang with a smile. The morning light was faint, and the young man’s features were picturesque, very pleasing to the eye.
“Xiaohang, do you have any dreams?”
“Ah?” What does it mean? Fu Yuanhang blinked his beautiful eyes a few times, stunned.
“Your father’s dream might have been to become an excellent soldier, your older brother’s dream might have been to dedicate his life to scientific research, and my dream is—”
Su Taotao paused, closed her eyes, and raised her head, saying, “To live by eating and waiting to die, to be a carefree grain-eating pest.”
“You see, everyone has dreams, whether they are great, selfish, for the country, or simply to seek enough food to live. Everyone works towards their dreams. What about you, Xiao Hang? When you grow up, what do you want to do?”
Fu Yuanhang lowered his head, thinking about Su Taotao’s words. After a long time, he shook his head: “Sister-in-law, I don’t know. I don’t have a dream.”
Su Taotao’s tone remained casual: “If you didn’t have one before, then start thinking about one now. Or, I can help you find one. It certainly won’t be just staying in the little mountain village, working from dawn till dusk.”
Fu Yuanhang was a very clever child, and he seemed to know what Su Taotao was going to say.
He remained silent, and Su Taotao continued:
“Your mother has always revolved around you. From Fu Zhengtu to you, and then to Chenchen, she has spent so much energy over these past twenty years without a life of her own. Now she wants to live alone for a few years. I understand, and I believe you do too.
If you stay here, one, the school here can’t teach you much anymore; two, it will disturb your mother’s peace.
Xiao Hang, I told you before, ‘Books and travel,’ you’ve seen the outside world, learned a lot of skills. If you still prefer the life in the little mountain village, you can always return. But if you don’t go out now, you won’t even have the chance to choose in the future. You’ll be stuck here forever.”
Su Taotao opened her eyes, looking down at Fu Yuanhang’s eyes: “Come with us. One, the base has better educational resources, and with your talent, you shouldn’t let it go to waste. Two, you can help me take care of Chenchen. I’m afraid I can’t manage him on my own.”
Fu Yuanhang’s heart was undoubtedly shaken.
Did he not want to go? Didn’t he want to see the cities bigger and better than the county town?
He did.
But he couldn’t leave Zhou Linglan behind, and he didn’t want to disturb his older brother and sister-in-law’s lives.
Since he had said he didn’t want to go with them, his older brother and sister-in-law never tried to persuade him. He thought it was all settled that way.
He knew this was the best arrangement. He felt a little disappointed, but more than that, he felt reluctant. He couldn’t bear to leave his nephew, who had grown up with him, and his wonderful sister-in-law. There was no bitterness; he was happy for them.
But now, his sister-in-law was telling him that it wasn’t like that. She actually hoped he would live with them and had already paved a way for him to have more choices in the future.
For some reason, as Fu Yuanhang looked into his sister-in-law’s caring eyes, his eyes became hot, and with his head lowered, tears fell.
Su Taotao patted the child’s shoulder: “In my eyes, you’re more like Chenchen’s brother. Both he and I need you. Mom feels the same. In a year or so, maybe two or three, she will come to live with us. Our family won’t be apart for long.”
She needs him.
Sister-in-law needs him.
Fu Yuanhang’s shoulders trembled, his head nodding repeatedly as he choked, saying, “Sister-in-law, I’ll go with you.”
Su Taotao rubbed his head and smiled: “That’s more like it. Don’t cry. Chenchen will think I’m bullying you when he wakes up. But, I might ask you to do more work in the future, so you better be ready.”
Fu Yuanhang shook his head, wiped away his tears, and smiled through them.
Su Taotao raised her chin: “Go get Chenchen’s food. Today we’ll share his meal and see if he cries later.”
Fu Yuanhang smiled again: “He won’t. He’s very generous.”
Su Taotao naturally knew he wouldn’t. There was no baby more angelic than Chenchen. She had to go check if her little angel had woken up yet.
Outside the door, Fu Zhengtu, his shirt soaked with sweat, was also smiling.
“Be good to her. She deserves it.”
Yes, she deserves it.
Fu Zhengtu suddenly thought of the passionate night before, clinging to him as she blossomed, and he suddenly felt like having a cigarette.
