Chi Yi was afraid that the clinic would be closed during lunch break, so he took two classes off in the afternoon to go to the clinic for vaccination. He was thinking that the next time he saw the tattooed-armed girl, he would find a way to give her a shot of vaccination to “avenge” her, and also have her sterilized at the same time.
This was the first time Chi Yi wandered outside the school during class time, and it felt a bit novel. After Chi Yi got the vaccine, he found a coffee shop next to him, so he thought about it and bought two cups to take home.
The afternoon classes were changed, and it was basically a two-session class again, which made it easy to get sleepy. Chi Yi was not very picky, so he ordered two cups of iced Americano to go, and prepared to bring one cup to Shen Ge.
Shen Ge sat in his seat and listened quietly to the teacher’s lecture, occasionally copying the teacher’s steps to solve a problem in the blank space next to him. The classroom was quiet with only the rustling sound of pens writing on the test paper.
Many people felt a little sleepy, and Shen Ge was no exception. He supported his head with one hand and his writing speed gradually slowed down.
The teacher raised his voice and randomly asked someone to answer the question: “Song Han, tell me how to draw the auxiliary lines for this problem?”
Song Han was startled and immediately stood up and began to read according to the steps on her paper: “First, set the midpoint of AB as P, and then connect DP…”
Shen Ge’s sleepiness disappeared instantly, and he listened to Song Han’s steps and took notes. He got the points for this question, but it was not the method of drawing auxiliary lines, so he just wrote it down now.
Shen Ge took notes and subconsciously pushed the paper to the left. After seeing the mulberry tree outside the window, he realized that Chi Yi was not there in the afternoon. After a moment of hesitation, he moved the paper back as if nothing had happened.
When he was sitting next to Chi Yi, Shen Ge found that Chi Yi had no major problems with his basics and problem-solving ideas. It was just that Chi Yi liked to skip steps when doing questions, and if he met a stricter teacher, he would not get points for the steps, so Shen Ge would ask Chi Yi to write them down every time he copied the steps.
Shen Ge went through the class in fear and trepidation. He subconsciously unscrewed the water cup to drink, but found that the cup was already empty. When he finished drinking in the morning, he was only concerned with reminding Chi Yi to take leave to get the vaccine, and forgot to get himself some water.
Usually when Chi Yi went out, he would also get him a glass of water, and occasionally he would go to the store to buy him a bottle of milk. Now that Chi Yi was not there, Shen Ge took the cup and went to the other end of the corridor to get water.
When he returned to his seat, Shen Ge was still a little puzzled. Why did he feel so uncomfortable when Chi Yi had only been away for a short while?
After two math classes, Shen Ge took a bored nap on the desk, closed his eyes to relax himself, and when he was about to fall asleep, his cheek was suddenly frozen.
Shen Ge opened his eyes dazedly and found that it was Chi Yi who came back. He was holding the “culprit” iced Americano in his hand and looking at him with a smile: “Are you sleepy? I just brought you an iced Americano.”
”Thank you, but you don’t have to bring it to me.” Shen Ge took the coffee and realized belatedly that he seemed to have said something nonsense.
After drinking the cold coffee, Shen Ge’s sleepiness faded a little. He took advantage of the break to give his paper to Chi Yi: “Remember to copy the steps when you have time. Don’t lose points for skipping steps.”
Chi Yi looked at the paper where Shen Ge had taken notes. The handwriting at the front was fairly neat, but the words at the back began to become increasingly messy, as if the words had become sleepy along with their owner.
Shen Ge coughed and said, “The words are not important. What’s important is the steps. Just understand it.”
Chi Yi didn’t say much, took the paper and started copying it carefully.
This mock exam was the first exam after Chi Yi transferred to the school. The examination rooms of No. 1 Middle School were arranged according to grades. Because Chi Yi and Shen Ge were transfer students and did not have the grades of the previous exam, Chi Yi and Shen Ge were temporarily assigned to the last examination room.
Before entering the examination room, Chi Yi opened his pencil case and took a look to make sure that his gel pens were full of ink. Then he followed Shen Ge and found his seat. He happened to be the last two seated, one in front of and one behind Shen Ge.
There was almost no change in the number of people in the last examination room. As soon as Chi Yi and Shen Ge arrived, the people around them guessed that they were transfer students from Class Three, especially since Chi Yi had become famous in the school sports meet.
Someone secretly passed a note to Chi Yi and Shen Ge across the aisle, hoping that they would pass on the answer. The students in Class 3, how could they say their grades were better than theirs?
Chi Yi didn’t tell the teacher and just pretended that he didn’t see it, concentrating on doing his own paper.
Shen Ge was also thrown a note, but he was hurriedly calculating on a piece of draft paper, so he didn’t notice the anxious look of the person next to him at all.
The morning test was Chinese, so there was nothing to copy. But this time the test was math, and time was tight. Not to mention that Shen Ge didn’t know about this, even if he knew, he wouldn’t let him copy.
When Shen Ge was leaving after the exam, the person who had been throwing notes at him wanted to stop him and cause trouble. Chi Yi stood in front of Shen Ge and spoke for him: “Speak more quietly. Is that glorious? If you keep making noise, I’ll go find the teacher.”
The man didn’t seem to expect that Chi Yi, who looked tall and good at fighting, would complain to the teacher right away. He couldn’t help but mutter, “You’re already in high school and you still complain to the teacher. Aren’t you ashamed?”
Chi Yi looked at him with strange eyes: “This is a school. If you don’t go to the teacher, do you go to the principal? Besides, you are not ashamed of cheating, so why should I be embarrassed?”
