My Biological Mother Is Actually the Pregnant-Runaway Villainess! Chapter 7

Chapter 7: Is That Dog Called Fu Xijin?

Yue Su and Yao Yao waited at the dock for an hour, but the boat still hadn’t arrived to pick them up.

Wang Qi grew a bit anxious and had Li Cheng call to follow up.

After making the call, Li Cheng explained, “The ship broke down and is under repair. Director Liang said they’ve already contacted another ship to pick us up.”

Wang Qi, impatient, asked, “How much longer do we have to wait?”

Li Cheng shrugged, “I don’t know. We’ll just have to wait.”

Wang Qi glanced at the time. The other guests had already left. If they kept waiting, they’d be late.

“Li Ge, think of something else, it’s okay for adults, but there’s a child here too.”

Li Cheng looked at Yao Yao, who was happily munching on a cheese stick, and gave a fatherly smile.

He’d bought that cheese stick, knowing she’d like it.

“There’s actually one more option. There’s another boat docked at the pier, and it belongs to that person.”

Yue Su raised her brow. “Who?”

Wang Qi’s face stiffened. “It’s the mysterious guest invited by the show.”

Li Cheng hummed, clearly uninterested, and didn’t engage.

Unless there was absolutely no other way, he would never help Yue Su.

“I’ll go talk to them.”

After Li Cheng went to communicate, Yue Su turned to Wang Qi and asked, “Who is this mysterious guest invited by the show?”

Wang Qi shook his head stiffly. “It’s confidential.”

“Confidential to the audience, but should it also be confidential to us?”

Wang Qi awkwardly smiled. “Director Liang has instructed, no one can say.”

Yue Su sighed. She thought to herself, it probably won’t be worse than Shen Junzai.

Not long after, Li Cheng returned.

“Done, they agreed.”

Wang Qi let out a sigh of relief. “That’s great, so we can board the ship now?”

Yao Yao finally finished the last bite of her cheese stick and tossed the stick into the trash.

“Sister, let’s go.”

Yue Su took out a wet wipe to clean her face. “You’ve got cheese all over your face.”

After cleaning her up, she picked Yao Yao up.

Her arm strength wasn’t bad, a result of carrying Yao Yao around.

Yao Yao clung to her like a little koala, curiously looking around.

Following Li Cheng to the dock, a luxurious cruise ship was docked by the shore.

Yue Su’s first impression of the mysterious guest: Very wealthy.

Soon, someone came out from inside.

Han Si smiled at Yue Su. “Miss Yue Su, it’s nice to see you again.”

Yue Su stood at the shore, suppressing the urge to turn around and leave immediately.

The person inside this “dog” was much more troublesome than Shen Junzai!

A qualified ex should be almost dead to her.

A CEO who doesn’t want to be a CEO, he comes to join a variety show?

“Miss Yue Su, please come aboard,” Wang Qi reminded her from the side.

Yue Su nodded. Since she was already here, what else could she do?

Yao Yao looked at Han Si, then at Yue Su.

Inside the ship, the space was spacious, with seats resembling business class on a high-speed train, with about seven seats in total.

As soon as Yue Su entered, she heard a soft voice, “Uncle, hurry up and plant the cherry bomb, my pea shooter is about to get eaten!”

The man’s voice was low and mellow, with a hint of indulgence. “Don’t worry, there’s a strong wall.”

Yue Su froze for a moment, then looked in the direction of the voice.

The moment their eyes met, Yue Su saw the indifference in his eyes.

The man she had desperately wanted to see four years ago was right in front of her.

He was dressed in an expensive suit, lofty and noble, his every movement exuding elegance.

It was then that Yue Su clearly understood: this man was Fu Xijin, no longer the “Ah Jin” she used to wrestle and laugh with in the rental apartment.

Holding Yao Yao with one hand, she watched as he poured all his warmth and affection onto another person. Yue Su closed her eyes.

She should have let go a long time ago.

But why, when I see you living well, does it hurt so much?

“Mom…” Yao Yao looked at her with concern.

Yue Su smiled. “It’s okay, let’s sit in the back.”

Yao Yao tightened her grip on her, resting her head on Yue Su’s shoulder, sneakily looking at Fu Xijin.

He had already turned his gaze away, fully focused on playing a game with the girl beside him.

Even Yao Yao didn’t realize that a trace of envy flickered in her eyes.

However, this envy was fleeting. She also had an uncle.

Yue Su chose the last row, making sure Yao Yao didn’t sit alone. She placed Yao Yao on her lap instead.

Yue Su: [The mysterious guest is Fu Xijin [smile]]

Gu Nan didn’t reply for a while, and when he did, it was a voice message lasting about forty seconds.

Yue Su took a deep breath. She felt like forty seconds was WeChat’s limit, but not Gu Nan’s.

Yao Yao noticed the red dot on the screen. “Mom, godmother sent you a message.”

Although her hands were small, she quickly tapped on it.

Gu Nan’s furious voice blared out of the speakers, echoing throughout the enclosed space.

“What?! That dog Fu Xijin is still alive? Did the whale company go bankrupt or something, and now they’re letting him go on a variety show to make money…”

Yue Su quickly hit pause.

But since the voice message was played aloud, Gu Nan’s words clearly reached everyone’s ears.

Including Fu Xijin, who was sitting at the front.

Wang Qi hunched his neck, exchanging glances with Li Cheng. The last thing anyone wanted was for the air to go suddenly quiet.

Yao Yao tilted her head and looked at Yue Su, who had stiffened. Her expression was full of confusion.

“Mom, is godmother angry? Who is she scolding?”

Yue Su smiled faintly. “Mom was bitten by a dog before.”

Yao Yao tilted her head. “Your godmother is scolding that dog?”

Han Si: “…”

He had to admit, Yue Su was a brave woman.

Yao Yao nodded as if she understood. “Is that dog called Fu Xijin?”

This innocent question made the air go quiet once again.

At that moment, Nao Nao stood up from her seat, her face full of anger as she put her hands on her hips.

“My uncle is Fu Xijin.”

Yao Yao opened her mouth wide and was stunned for a moment.

“Your uncle is a dog?”

Nao Nao: “My uncle is a person, not a dog!”

Yao Yao: “But your uncle is called Fu Xijin, and my mom says Fu Xijin is a dog.”

Yue Su: “…” I didn’t say that, I didn’t, you’re making things up.

Nao Nao furrowed her brows, looking like her brain was about to short-circuit.

“My uncle is not a dog,” she stubbornly repeated.

Yao Yao: “But Fu Xijin is a dog, isn’t he?”

Nao Nao: “… What you said kinda makes sense.”

She lowered her head, and the question “Uncle, are you a dog?” almost slipped out of her mouth.

Fu Xijin looked up and sneered. “Your mom didn’t say it was okay to hit you.”

Nao Nao: “…”

She quickly sat down, buckled her seatbelt, and obediently started playing the game with her tablet.

Don’t be fooled by the fact that Nao Nao was a girl. She had a long history of climbing on rooftops and chasing after birds.

At the age of seven, her little backside had suffered more than a few bamboo shoots stir-fried with pork.

She was wild by nature and loved jumping around, which was why she insisted on joining this variety show.
