The Wolf King glanced at the willow branches wrapped around its front legs, glowing with a faint green light, and the small white creature emitting a soft white glow. It looked somewhat displeased at Nan Muran, not liking being guarded like this.
“Either let them keep an eye on you obediently, or you can just go sleep outside. No other choice,” Nan Muran said, resting her head on her arm, her tone leaving no room for negotiation.
The Wolf King knew it couldn’t change her decision and didn’t want to sleep on the cold, damp ground, so it obediently sat down.
Little Willow: “You just scolded Muran, so of course, it can’t be trusted.”
Treeman: “It’s wise to be cautious around strangers.”
Little White: “I hate the Wolf King.”
The Wolf King shot a glare at Little Willow, Treeman, and Little White, becoming slightly irritated: “A bunch of fools.”
Little Willow: “You call me stupid? Watch out, I’ll beat you!”
Treeman: “How about we practice?”
Little White: “You’re the lowest level here.”
The Wolf King wasn’t afraid: “You’re no match for me, I just don’t have any special abilities right now.”
…
“Shut up, all of you. Can’t you let me sleep?” Nan Muran snapped, and the surroundings immediately fell silent.
Because she was extremely tired, Nan Muran didn’t realize that she could now hear the voices of Little White and the Wolf King even without Little Willow and the Treeman around.
Si Ye and Jia Wu knew that Nan Muran could communicate with them, so they understood she was scolding them. They had to admit, it was quite lively when they all gathered together.
Since the Treeman used his body to block the cave entrance, the cold air from outside couldn’t get in, and inside, the temperature gradually rose due to the warmth of the charcoal fire.
Everyone, including Nan Muran, Si Ye, and Jia Wu, as well as the Wolf King, who was squeezed into the same tent with Nan Muran, had a good night’s sleep.
However, when Nan Muran woke up the next morning, she realized that at some point during the night, she had ended up using the Wolf King as a pillow.
No wonder she hadn’t felt cold last night, and in fact, had even felt a bit warm.
Seeing her wake up, the Wolf King hadn’t moved and continued pretending to sleep. Nan Muran couldn’t help but think to herself: “It’s true, humans are really the best at enjoying life.”
“Always calling you Wolf King isn’t very fitting. How about I give you a name?” Nan Muran said as she leaned against the Wolf King’s warm body, comfortably nestled in it.
Upon hearing that she was going to name the Wolf King, Si Ye and Jia Wu, who had already woken up, looked over.
Nan Muran’s naming might not be very practical, but it was certainly amusing. A good laugh in the morning was good for one’s health.
“How about Little White? No, that one’s already taken.”
“Then what about Big White?” Nan Muran hesitated, looking at the Wolf King’s large head.
Upon hearing this, the Wolf King’s look of expectation turned to one of disbelief. The Mountain God’s naming skills were certainly not to be praised.
“You don’t like that? Then Whitey?” Nan Muran quickly corrected herself, realizing her naming wasn’t very good.
Though Whitey was a slight improvement over Big White, the Wolf King still had a hard time accepting it.
“Then Big Head? Blue Eyes…” Nan Muran continued to look for features on the Wolf King as she stubbornly tried.
Si Ye, seeing the Wolf King’s displeasure and Nan Muran starting to feel awkward, spoke up: “How about Xuan Yue?”
“Xuan Yue?” Nan Muran was a bit confused. Xuan Yue sounded like September.
“You have Xuan Wu, so why not name it Xuan Yue? Xuan could be considered its surname,” Si Ye explained.
Regardless of whether Nan Muran agreed with the name Xuan Yue, the Wolf King was very satisfied with it.
“Alright, as long as it likes it,” Nan Muran said as she got up and exited the tent, feeling a bit disappointed.
Si Ye, looking at her, comforted her in a gentle voice: “Yue also refers to the color white. It was actually your idea.”
Nan Muran smiled faintly and gave a playful grin: “Thanks.”
“In the future, just let Si Ye name it. Don’t forget, our Muran is a capitalist. No need to pay him, just let him work,” Jia Wu joked.
Hearing Jia Wu’s comment, Nan Muran couldn’t help but laugh: “Brother Wu’s right.”
She then waved her hand, packing the three tents back into her own tent. They were about to head back on the road, and the tents would be needed again, so it was better to pack them up to avoid having to do it later.
“This is…” After putting the tents back, Nan Muran felt a sudden shift in the space around her, extending outward, and was so surprised she almost couldn’t speak.
“What’s going on?” Si Ye asked, concerned by her reaction.
“You two pack up your things first. I need to go check the situation in the space,” Nan Muran said, and as soon as she finished speaking, she vanished into the space.
Looking at Nan Muran disappearing suddenly like a ghost, with Little Willow, Little White, Treeman, and the other four little creatures left on the ground, Jia Wu and Si Ye were left in a daze.
Since they had met Nan Muran, they had gradually gotten used to her taking things from the space and could imagine that the space must be quite vast. However, they had never heard Nan Muran explain the Mystical Fog in detail and didn’t know that she could actually enter the space physically.
“Clearly, only she can go in,” Si Ye said helplessly as he looked at the dejected Little Willow, Little White, Treeman, and the confused other four.
This space didn’t allow any other creatures to enter, meaning they could only wait here.
Meanwhile, inside the space, Nan Muran, now familiar with the area, began trying to step beyond the original boundary of the Mystical Fog, hoping to see how much the space had expanded after the fog upgraded.
After walking about fifty meters, she realized she couldn’t continue further. But instead of the usual dark walls, the fog stretched out endlessly, suggesting that the Mystical Fog could still expand. However, what was the point of just expanding? Ultimately, it would still be used to store goods.
Still, it was a bit of a good thing. After considering it, Nan Muran went through all the layers of the space, from the first to the tenth, and the expanded area was consistent.
When she reached the sixth layer, where the precious items had been thrown around by the little treasure, Nan Muran, a perfectionist, couldn’t help but frown: “If only I could clean it all up at once.”
As soon as she finished speaking, the scattered items on the ground started to automatically restore themselves to their original positions. It was as if someone was tidying up, finding appropriate places to put everything, and even avoiding the little treasure’s area.
“I’ll be damned.” Nan Muran had previously been able to tidy up things within the space using her mental power, but only if she knew the situation and had already planned it out in her mind.
This, however, was a new experience—an idea that appeared suddenly could be instantly realized.
Clearly, the Mystical Fog had not only grown larger but had also become more intelligent—or perhaps, the Mystical Fog was now able to pick up her thoughts.
“Xuan Wu, is that you?” Nan Muran thought for a moment, uncertain, and called out to the empty space.
