Nao Nao clicked her tongue, shaking her head, and placed her hand on Yao Yao’s shoulder, giving it a firm pat.
“From now on, you’re my best sister!”
Yao Yao responded with a simple “oh,” but it didn’t sound like it was anything too flattering.
Nao Nao raised an eyebrow at her nonchalant reaction, a bit dissatisfied.
“Many people want to be my best sister, you know!”
Yao Yao blinked, curious. “What’s in it for me?”
“Of course there’s something in it!”
“What do I get?”
Nao Nao thought hard, and the question was surprisingly hard to answer.
She looked up at Fu Xijin, and an idea sparked in her mind.
“When my uncle dies, I’ll treat you to a feast!”
Yao Yao’s eyes brightened. “When?”
Nao Nao hesitated, “Well… maybe not for a while, he might not die so soon.”
Yao Yao looked at her in confusion. “Why?”
Nao Nao explained, “My mom said, ‘Trouble lasts for a thousand years.'”
Yao Yao half-understood, “Then I’ll wait, but don’t forget to call me when the time comes!”
Nao Nao, full of loyalty, patted her chest. “Don’t worry, as soon as my uncle dies, I’ll tell you right away.”
Fu Xijin: “…”
He really didn’t want to hit the kid, but his hands were itching. How should he respond to this?
While they were talking, Yue Su was still unaware of what was happening on this side. She was busy inflating the new air mattress they had bought.
Finally, after some effort, she finished inflating it and went outside to find Nao Nao and Yao Yao bonding so much that it almost felt like they were about to swear an oath of sisterhood.
“Mom, is my bed ready?”
“Yes, it’s all set. Go check it out.”
The mattress was 1.8 meters long, spacious enough for both her and Yao Yao to sleep comfortably.
Yao Yao dragged Nao Nao into the tent and jumped onto the bed, rolling around.
“Uncle, I don’t want to sleep with you tonight. Men and women shouldn’t sleep together. I’ll sleep with Yao Yao.”
“Ha.” Little brat.
Fu Xijin leaned against the side, relaxed and at ease.
“Why didn’t you say that last night?”
Nao Nao poked her head out, “I’m not wrong. You’re a boy, I’m a girl. We should sleep separately!”
Fu Xijin raised his hand and pinched her ear, giving it a little tug.
“How old are you, little brat?”
Nao Nao bared her teeth, “If you like sleeping with girls so much, go sleep with Aunt Su. I’ll sleep with Yao Yao!”
Yue Su: “… Is it illegal to hit kids here?”
Yi Xia couldn’t help but laugh, “It’s not illegal. Let’s finish eating first, then you can hit her.”
The ingredients today were fresh, and Yuan Jin had brought out several kinds of mushrooms, with all sorts of ways to cook them.
The giant steamed buns, exchanged with the production team, were stacked into little mountains.
Yue Su handed a bun to Yao Yao. The bun was almost as big as her face.
“Mom will break it for you.”
Yao Yao stuffed the bun into her cheeks, her mouth bulging. “I can finish it.”
Yue Su glanced at her little belly, doubtful.
“Don’t eat too much, okay?”
“I’ll give it to you if I can’t finish it.”
She liked holding the big bun and nibbling on it.
Yue Su didn’t object and served her some chicken soup to cool down.
Yi Xia didn’t touch the chicken, only eating mushrooms, thoroughly enjoying herself.
“So fresh. After we pick the grapes, let’s go mushroom picking again.”
Chen Xingjun not only hated talking but also hated eating.
Today, however, he had an unusually good appetite and was eating steadily.
Yue Su nodded, “Sure, we can dry some and take them home.”
She also liked these mushrooms and wanted to bring some back for her parents to try.
While they were all happily eating, Shen Mijin was following his father, nibbling on bread.
He had been eating bread since yesterday, and now he was starting to feel disgusted.
Especially when the scent of the food drifted from over there, making him and his father even hungrier.
“Dad, I want to eat meat.”
Shen Junzai showed a hint of impatience, lightly scolding, “Didn’t I tell you before we came here that this show wouldn’t be easy? If you want to back out now, it’s not too late.”
There was no way he would let him lower his head in front of Yue Su.
Just as he brought up the matter of his affair with his sister-in-law, it was exposed online. He didn’t believe it was a coincidence.
Putting aside the past, just based on this incident, he hated Yue Su deeply.
If he didn’t kill her, how could he face anyone?
Shen Mijin didn’t dare to speak any further, feeling that Shen Junzai’s expression was terrifying.
Shen Junzai didn’t look at him anymore and instead focused his gaze on Yue Su, a wicked smile curling at his lips.
Turning his head, he saw Jiang Wanti and her daughter, who had just arrived late, and waved them over.
Jiang Wanti walked over.
Shen Junzai sneered, “You really want to eat? Aren’t you afraid of eating poisonous mushrooms?”
Jiang Wanti hesitated. She was afraid, but besides teaming up with Yuan Jin, what else could she do?
Eating there was much cheaper than buying food from the supermarket.
“It should be fine. Yue Su said she recognized all the mushrooms she picked.”
Shen Junzai sneered coldly, “What if there are a few poisonous mushrooms mixed in?”
Jiang Wanti’s face changed drastically at the thought, and she instinctively looked at the camera.
Shen Junzai was unbothered, “Don’t worry, the cameras are turned off here.”
He had turned off the microphones beforehand, so no one would hear it.
Jiang Wanti gritted her teeth, “You’re crazy!”
Shen Junzai shrugged innocently, his smile never fading.
“I haven’t done anything. If anyone gets poisoned, it’s Yue Su’s problem.”
He smiled, but his eyes were filled with malice.
It would be best if Yue Su, that bitch, died.
Jiang Wanti clenched her fingers, her nails digging into her palm, breathing rapidly.
“Mr. Shen, Ah Jin is still over there. If something happens…”
Shen Junzai suddenly changed his expression, grabbing her wrist with force.
“If something happens, it’s still Yue Su’s fault! Jiang Wanti, don’t tell me you don’t hate Yue Su. You’ve been dreaming of a man she already had, and you used to sleep in her bed.”
Jiang Wanti bit her lip, her face pale.
“They’re over. Ah Jin has recovered his memory. He won’t be with her.”
Shen Junzai sneered, mocking her naivety.
As a man, he knew exactly how attractive Yue Su was.
“Seems like the company has protected you too well, making you this naive.”
Jiang Wanti broke free from his grip, gritting her teeth. “No matter what you say, I don’t approve of what you’re doing. This is too extreme.”
This was a deserted island, and even with a medical team, the facilities were inadequate.
Things could escalate beyond repair.
Shen Junzai’s cold voice cut through the air, “Then go over there right now and tell them not to eat. Do you dare?”
Jiang Wanti lowered her head, silent, her eyes closing in a hurry.
She didn’t dare.
She was close to Shen Junzai and worked at the same company.
If something happened to him, she wouldn’t be able to benefit either.
Shen Junzai understood her character—hesitant, not decisive enough.
Jiang Wanti wasn’t purely good-hearted, but she was timid. She didn’t dare to be thoroughly bad.
“Don’t worry. I just want to teach Yue Su a lesson. A little bit won’t kill anyone, just a bit of diarrhea. Besides, this is all Yue Su’s fault. She wouldn’t have provoked me if she hadn’t.”
Jiang Wanti bit her lip, considering his words. It did seem somewhat reasonable.
At that moment, Yi Xia called out, “Wanti, come eat!”
Jiang Wanti quickly adjusted her expression and smiled as she turned around.
“Teacher Yi, you all eat. We’re not hungry. We’ll just have a steamed bun later.”
Jiang Xin pouted, “Mom, I’m hungry…”
Jiang Wanti glared at her, “Shut up!”
Finally, she took two steamed buns from Yuan Jin’s hand, leaving the rest untouched.
Yi Xia didn’t understand, “If you’re not eating mushrooms, at least drink some chicken soup and eat some chicken, it’s all fresh.”
Jiang Wanti glanced at the chicken soup with mushrooms floating in it and shook her head decisively.
“I’ll pass. I don’t like mushrooms.”
After saying this, she shot a meaningful look at Yue Su.
“I’ve heard that people from Yun Province love to eat mushrooms. Every year, many people get poisoned from eating them. Yue Su isn’t from there. What if she picks the wrong mushrooms? Teacher Yi, I think you all should eat less.”
