“Master, save me!”
He Ting saw Lin Xi and clung to her leg as if she were his own mother.
“Master, I…”
Before he could finish, Fu Jingyao picked him up and threw him away.
“Damn it!”
He Ting landed on his bottom, “Fu Jingyao, what are you doing? Murder?”
Fu Jingyao remained expressionless, as if He Ting uttered another word, he would be sent to Africa immediately.
He Ting swallowed his saliva and raised his hands in surrender.
“Mr. Fu, Master Lin, I’m wrong. I’ve offended you before. It’s my fault. You are magnanimous. Forgive me this once.”
Fu Jingyao still had no expression, “Save or not?”
Lin Xi stepped forward, “If it’s truly a fox spirit harming people, I will naturally catch her.”
In this era of declining spiritual energy, it is not easy for a spirit to become a demon.
This fox spirit was not cultivating in the deep mountains and forests, but came out to harm humans.
Catching a bad fairy was as meritorious as catching a vengeful ghost. As a metaphysical practitioner, she couldn’t let the fox spirit run rampant.
Lin Xi examined the man on the ground, “The fox spirit’s aura is very strong on you. What is your relationship with her?”
“We don’t have any relationship. We’ve only known each other for a week. I even saved her.”
He Ting’s eyes were slightly red, “I have no grievances with Bai Rou. Why would she harm me?”
Lin Xi said calmly, “Fox spirits, they like to absorb the essence of young men. I warned you earlier, but you still kept the fox spirit by your side.”
The implication was, you deserve it.
He Ting hung his head, “Bai Rou is alone and pitiful. Who knew she was a fox spirit?”
He showed a smile that was uglier than crying, “Master, am I going to die?”
“Not necessarily.”
Lin Xi turned around, “You have the fox spirit’s charming aura, but it hasn’t harmed your body’s foundation.”
“This fox spirit has left you some leeway, but it doesn’t rule out the possibility that she’s keeping you alive to play with you slowly.”
“Tell me, what happened?”
He Ting recounted everything in detail.
That day, he was slapped by Ji Zheng and was in a bad mood.
A friend called him to a club to drink, and after sending Bai Rou home, He Ting was about to go for drinks.
Bai Rou insisted on going with him.
He Ting didn’t want to bother with her, so he let her follow him into the private room.
In the private room, the others kept teasing him.
“Young Master He, where did you find your little sister?”
“What little sister? Clearly a woman.”
“Oh, Young Master He has changed his taste?”
“You don’t understand. Young Master He’s taste has always been like this.”
He Ting roared in annoyance, “Shut up!”
Everyone looked at each other and shut their mouths.
Zhou Feng seized the opportunity to mock him, “Young Master He, with a beautiful woman by your side, what’s the point of just drinking? Why don’t you play something else?”
He Ting was too lazy to pay attention to him, “Scram!”
Zhou Feng smiled and looked at the two of them, “Young Master He, you’re like a bomb. Who made you angry? Could it be…”
He deliberately dragged out his voice. He Ting grabbed his head and slammed it against the sofa, “It’s your grandfather!”
Zhou Feng immediately cowered and quickly apologized, “Young Master He, I’m sorry, I said the wrong thing.”
He Ting stared at him coldly.
A bunch of people were there to persuade him. Bai Rou pulled at his sleeve, her face showing fear.
He Ting let go of his hand and slumped on the sofa, drinking sullenly.
Bai Rou stayed quietly by his side, occasionally looking up at the people next to her, as if she was very worried about him.
Zhou Feng stared at the two of them with a sinister look.
Since he was a child, he had been suppressed by He Ting. He was inferior to him in every way.
When they were in university, he fell in love with a girl and happily went to confess, but she liked He Ting.
From then on, he and He Ting became sworn enemies.
Zhou Feng lowered his eyelids and sneered.
“He Ting, this woman seems to be very important to you. If you ruin her, tsk tsk!”
He winked.
Everyone held their wine glasses and poured He Ting wine one after another.
“Young Master He, long time no see. I’ll toast you.”
“Young Master He, I’ll drink first. Let’s get drunk tonight.”
He Ting drank heavily, completely ignoring the people around him.
Bai Rou was full of excitement. She didn’t care about the drunks around her. She had found something fun.
Her aunt always lied to her that the human world wasn’t fun.
Look, it’s very fun here.
Wait, it’s going to be even more fun.
He Ting kept drinking. The people around him disappeared at some point, and Zhou Feng was also gone.
“Ah——!!!” ???
Suddenly, a scream came from outside.
He Ting sobered up a little and found that Bai Rou was gone. He grabbed the person next to him, “Where is she?”
“Young Master Zhou took her out!”
“Zhou Feng!”
He Ting got up and pushed the door open, “Bai Rou, where are you?”
Bai Rou stood obediently at the door, her expression very innocent. She stretched out her hands, and the backs of her hands were wet.
He Ting understood, “You went to the bathroom?”
Bai Rou nodded and tugged at him to go outside.
He Ting grasped her meaning, “Okay, let’s go back.”
Zhou Feng suddenly rushed out, terror etched on his face, shouting at the top of his lungs, “Monster! She’s a monster!”
He Ting turned back, impatiently yelling, “Zhou Feng, what nonsense are you spouting?”
Zhou Feng trembled, repeatedly shouting two words.
“Monster! Monster!”
Bai Rou bit her lip tightly, tears streaming down her cheeks.
She desperately shook her head, her hands gesturing wildly.
I’m not a monster, boohoo.
He Ting rubbed her head, “Okay, okay, I understand what you mean.”
“Zhou Feng, you’re asking for a beating, aren’t you?”
He pinned Zhou Feng down and gave him a beating.
After he finished, the alcohol hit him, and He Ting’s head spun, causing him to fall to the ground.
Just before he passed out, he seemed to hear Bai Rou cursing.
Impossible, Bai Rou is mute; she wouldn’t speak. He really must be drunk.
When He Ting opened his eyes, he found himself lying on a bed, and the sky outside was still dark.
He didn’t think much of it; it was probably his group of friends who brought him back.
Feeling a bit thirsty, He Ting went downstairs for some water, but a white shadow flashed at the staircase.
He paused. Did the alcohol cause him to hallucinate?
He shook his head and took a step forward.
A familiar person stood on the steps, staring at him fixedly.
He Ting’s pupils constricted, “Ji Zheng!”
“Ji Zheng” wore a gentle smile, walking step by step toward him, her hands climbing up his neck.
They were very close now, the ambiguous warmth brushing against his ear, and He Ting’s face turned crimson.
“Ji Zheng, why are you here?”
He felt both nervous and delighted, struggling to articulate his words.
“We, this, you…”
“Ji Zheng” leaned in closer, wrapping her arms around him, her fingertips trailing down his collar.
He Ting suddenly pushed her away, “Ji Zheng?”
“No! You’re not Ji Zheng!”
He blinked, and the person before him transformed.
Ji Zheng’s face morphed into Bai Rou’s.
He Ting clutched his chest, extremely angry, “Bai Rou, what are you doing?”
Bai Rou, teary-eyed, appeared as if she had been violated.
He Ting was dumbfounded.
Had he mistakenly embraced Bai Rou thinking she was Ji Zheng because he was drunk?
Bai Rou couldn’t speak, and was weak and delicate.
If he hadn’t acted first, Bai Rou would never have come close to him, let alone embraced him.
He Ting quickly apologized, “Bai Rou, I’m sorry. I drank too much.”
Bai Rou rolled her eyes.
Boring, not fun, she was uncovered so quickly.
If her aunt found out, she would definitely mock her severely.
Bai Rou’s demeanor changed dramatically, transforming from a little white flower into a poppy, her eyes full of mockery.
He Ting sensed something was off with her, “What’s wrong with you?”
Bai Rou suddenly laughed, purple fur sprouting from her face, her eyes shimmering with a golden light.
Behind her, a long, fluffy tail grew.
No! Not just one, but many fluffy tails.
“Damn it!”
He Ting’s eyes widened, and he sobered up instantly.
