Chapter 34 Agreement

Zhang Rong slowly approached and gently took Luo Jiaojiao’s hand, softly asking, “Are you Luo Jiaojiao? Can I call you Jiaojiao?” She looked at Luo Jiaojiao with a caring gaze.

Luo Jiaojiao glanced at Leng Mohan. Seeing him nod slightly in agreement, she turned to Zhang Rong, nodded, and softly replied, “You can.”

Zhang Rong continued, “Jiaojiao, just like Mohan, call me Aunt Rong. I know your biological parents, especially your mother. We were the best of friends, confidantes.”

“Mohan has already told me about what you’ve been through, child. It must have been so hard on you.” After saying this, Zhang Rong hugged Luo Jiaojiao tightly, offering her warm comfort.

Luo Jiaojiao listened, a warm current surging in her heart. She was deeply grateful for their concern.

She could genuinely feel the sincerity of their care. She shook her head slightly, recalling her days with her adoptive parents. Although she felt like a carefully packaged commodity, she couldn’t deny that they had given her meticulous care.

Although Luo Meihui had targeted her, she hadn’t suffered any substantial harm.

Luo Jiaojiao shook her head gently, a glint of firmness in her eyes. “I haven’t suffered much hardship, and even if I leave now, I won’t have many regrets.”

Her heart had already been filled by her two beloved grandparents, who unfortunately passed away two years ago. At her adoptive parents’ home, she was surrounded more by strict teachers than her adoptive parents.

In the Luo family, besides her deceased grandparents, the only one who truly cared for and loved her was her second brother. However, she might never have the chance to see him again in the future.

Leng Mohan knew Aunt Rong’s concerns. He calmly said, “I’ve had Luo Jiahui sign the document severing ties with Jiaojiao, and her household registration has been transferred. You don’t need to worry about this anymore.”

“That’s good. Jiaojiao, you don’t need to feel sad either. From now on, your uncle and I are your family, your support. You are Xiao Lan’s daughter, and I will love you as if you were my own. If Mohan dares to bully you, just tell me, and I’ll have your uncle teach him a lesson.” Zhang Rong looked at Luo Jiaojiao gently and spoke softly.

Hearing these words, Luo Jiaojiao felt a deep sense of gratitude. In this strange world, she had unexpectedly met someone, besides Leng Mohan, who cared for and loved her so much.

“Thank you, Aunt Rong,” Luo Jiaojiao said sincerely, tears of gratitude glistening in her eyes.

“Don’t mention it. I’ve always dreamed of having a daughter, and now it’s finally coming true. I’m overjoyed. Come, let’s go inside and sit down. Have you had dinner?” Zhang Rong invited enthusiastically, her eyes full of concern for Luo Jiaojiao.

Luo Jiaojiao smiled and replied, “Aunt Rong, Brother Leng and I have already eaten dinner. We came out to look at a house.” She explained their purpose clearly and concisely.

“Look at a house? Have you already applied for a suitable one?” Zhang Rong curiously asked, clearly filled with curiosity and anticipation about their plans.

Leng Mohan pointed to the house next to Zhang Rong’s, softly saying, “The place I applied for is right next to your house. When I’m on a mission, I’ll trouble you to look after Jiaojiao.” He honestly made his request.

Zhang Rong was somewhat surprised. She hadn’t expected Leng Mohan to even consider this, clearly showing his care for Luo Jiaojiao.

“Don’t worry, whenever you’re away on a mission, I’ll definitely help take care of her.” Zhang Rong agreed without hesitation.

Leng Mohan gave her a grateful look. “Thank you then.” He expressed his gratitude concisely.

“You don’t have to. This is what I should do. You trusting me enough to ask for my help is an honor. You two go ahead and tidy up the house. I have to go back and prepare dinner. If you need any help, just ask.” Zhang Rong said with a smile.

Leng Mohan nodded with a smile. “I understand. If we need anything, I won’t hesitate to ask for your help. I won’t stand on ceremony.”

He knew that excessive politeness was unnecessary at this moment, as they would undoubtedly need her help many times in the future.

“That’s good. Feel free to look around the house. Although the exterior looks a bit old, with some careful cleaning and renovation, it will be completely renewed.” Zhang Rong had been inside as a guest; the interior condition was much better than it appeared from the outside.

“The previous owner was quite wealthy. Although the exterior looks ordinary, the interior is quite different. Although the floors and walls are a bit old, it’s not a big problem.” Zhang Rong said to them.

“I know, I’ve already seen it. I brought Jiaojiao here to ask her how she wants to decorate it. We’ll do it according to her wishes, and we’ll need to buy furniture and everything.” Leng Mohan nodded.

Zhang Rong glanced at Leng Mohan and said lightly, “Actually, cleaning is the most important thing. As for furniture, the logistics department can get anything, so don’t worry too much. It’s mainly the kitchenware that needs to be new; other things can be added gradually.”

Leng Mohan nodded in understanding. He already had a shopping list in mind but still wanted to bring Luo Jiaojiao along to see and hear her opinions. After all, this was their shared home, and it should be decorated according to her preferences.

“Okay, when Jiaojiao has time, we’ll go together, write down what we need,” Leng Mohan said with a smile. “Then I’ll buy everything according to the list, and I’ll make sure everything is perfect.”

Zhang Rong smiled in satisfaction. She knew that Leng Mohan was a careful and responsible person. With him, everything would be in order.

Leng Mohan, raised among wolves since childhood, had a wolf-like heart, showing absolute loyalty and devotion to his partner.

From the moment he fell for Luo Jiaojiao, he had decided on her, hoping to spend the rest of his life with her.

As the sun set, Leng Mohan and Luo Jiaojiao watched Zhang Rong return home.

Then, he took her to their future home.

Luo Jiaojiao curiously followed Leng Mohan inside, and the sight before her shocked her. The yard was overgrown with weeds, some even taller than her, a desolate scene.

She looked at Leng Mohan questioningly. Could this place really become warm and comfortable?

“Brother Leng, this place is really hard to clean up,” Luo Jiaojiao said, looking at the yard, filled with surprise.

Seeing the dilapidated state, something she had never witnessed before, and the worry in her eyes, Leng Mohan didn’t say anything and led her into the courtyard.
