Qingyu worriedly said, “Master, Little Sister’s pulse is weak. She’s pregnant, this won’t do. We need to restore her health quickly.”
However, Qingli was pregnant, and some medicines couldn’t be used. Qingyu was truly worried sick.
Seeing that Master hadn’t spoken and was staring blankly, Qingyu asked in confusion, “Master? What’s wrong?”
Qingming put away his compass and spoke with a heavy heart, “I can’t see A-Li’s destiny anymore. Before, I could see some things, but now, her Life Palace is completely blank, I can’t see anything.”
Qingyu’s brows furrowed, “Master, what does this mean?”
Qingming sighed, powerless, “I’ve never seen this before. Under the heavens, no matter who it is, as long as they have a birth date, I can see their entire life’s destiny. But A-Li’s fate, I’ve never been able to see through. I could only occasionally calculate some things, occasionally see some things, but now, I can’t see anything at all.”
Hearing this, Qingyu became even more worried. He knew Master’s abilities, how could he not see anymore?
“Master, this… Could Little Sister be in danger?”
Qingyu knew that some dangers couldn’t be seen physically. His medical skills were far inferior to Master’s mystical arts.
If even Master didn’t know how to save Little Sister, he would be even more helpless.
Qingyu suddenly panicked. Qingli’s pulse suddenly weakened.
“Master, Master, what do we do? What about Little Sister? How can we save her?”
Qingyu was about to cry.
Qingming turned around, seeing his eldest disciple about to cry, he was speechless, “What are you crying for? You’re a physician, don’t you know how to save people? Use your medical skills to save her. Quickly, if you don’t want your sister to suffer, use your abilities.”
“The medicine is here, the medicine is here, Eldest Young Master, the medicine is here. Should we give it to Sister now?”
Qingyu nodded. He hurriedly helped Qingli sit up, making it easier for her to drink the medicine.
Jian Yue blew on the medicine to cool it down and fed it to Qingli.
After finishing the bowl of medicine, Qingyu laid her back down. After a while, he checked her pulse again.
“How is she?”
Qingming couldn’t help but ask.
Qingyu’s expression eased slightly, and he breathed a sigh of relief, “Little Sister’s pulse is steady now. She should be fine.”
Qingming finally felt relieved. He also breathed a heavy sigh of relief.
Jian Yue was taking care of Qingli, and she couldn’t help but ask, “Sect Master, why did the lightning strike my sister? Did she do something to anger the heavens?”
Jian Yue was just asking casually, but Qingming began to think seriously.
He walked out of the room towards the collapsed ruins, carefully examining them.
This lightning was unusual. Could it be a Heavenly Tribulation? But how could that be possible? Ordinary people wouldn’t be qualified to experience a Heavenly Tribulation.
Qingli’s Death Tribulation had always been a mystery. It could only be seen as a Death Tribulation, and if it wasn’t resolved, she would surely die. But beyond that, nothing else could be seen or calculated.
Other people’s Death Tribulations, how they died, even where they died, when they died, were all clear. But Qingli’s, it could only be seen that her lifeline would break at some point in time. Other than that, nothing could be seen.
Therefore, Qingming couldn’t figure out how to help her avoid it. He only found one way, to let the Purple Qi protect her. The power of the Purple Qi was so strong that it could change a person’s destiny. This was the only way to save Qingli.
Now, Qingming knew that the lightning tonight was that death knot. If she hadn’t been protected by the Purple Qi, Qingli would have been struck dead by the lightning.
Qingming couldn’t imagine that the Death Tribulation was lightning. Could it be that his little disciple had done something terrible in her past life, attracting this lightning? This life, she had grown up under his watch, she only did good deeds, she never did anything bad.
Qingming was very puzzled, he couldn’t figure out the matter of the Death Tribulation. Now, he could only wait for Qingli to wake up and see.
“Sect Master?”
Seeing Qingming’s furrowed brow in thought, Jian Yue couldn’t help but call out again.
Qingming came back to his senses, hummed, and then said.
“How she got struck, go find the answer in the books yourself.”
After saying that, Qingming walked out.
Jian Yue pouted, “Read books, then read books. Maybe I can really find it.”
Since entering Ming Valley, Jian Yue had been urged to read books. She had read many basic books on physiognomy and fortune-telling, as well as medical records, which had broadened her knowledge.
Qingyu stayed by Qingli’s side all night. Until dawn, Qingli still hadn’t woken up.
He checked Qingli’s pulse again and found that it was much steadier. There was no danger. He finally felt relieved.
Qingyu went outside and saw Master rebuilding the house. He quickly went over to help.
The group was busy all morning, yet Qingli still hadn’t woken up.
Then they had to wait until night fell, and Qingli still showed no signs of waking. This left Qingyu puzzled; clearly, Qingli’s pulse was improving, yet there were no signs of her waking up, which was quite abnormal.
But there was nothing they could do but wait. Another night passed, and she still hadn’t woken up, leaving all three of them anxious and restless.
Finally, as night descended, Qingli slowly regained consciousness. The first to notice she was awake was Qingyu.
At the moment Qingli opened her eyes, he almost thought he was seeing things and rubbed his eyes.
“Big Brother, what are you doing?”
Qingli appeared full of energy, showing no signs of fatigue or drowsiness, her spirit was high.
Seeing Qingyu’s stunned expression, she asked curiously.
Hearing Little Sister’s voice, Qingyu finally confirmed that she was indeed awake. He excitedly rushed over and hugged Qingli tightly, his tone filled with relief.
“Little Sister, you’re finally awake! Do you know you scared us half to death?”
Qingli had been unconscious for two whole days and was pregnant, which nearly terrified Qingyu to death.
Seeing his worry, Qingli smiled and patted his shoulder, “I’m fine, Big Brother, don’t be so agitated.”
Outside, Qingming heard the commotion and hurried in.
Jian Yue, who was busy in the kitchen, also hurriedly put down her knife and rushed in.
“A-Li, how are you? Tell Master if you feel any discomfort!”
As soon as Qingming entered, he pushed Qingyu aside and sat down by Qingli’s bedside, carefully examining her.
However, her Life Palace was still blank, just as it had been when she was unconscious; he still couldn’t see anything.
“Master, I’m fine. Why is everyone so nervous? The lightning last night didn’t strike me.”
Qingli’s memory was still stuck at the moment she was struck by lightning.
Qingyu rushed to say, “Little Sister, you were unconscious for two days. How could we not worry? You’re pregnant, and many medicines cannot be used.”
Qingli was a bit surprised!
“I was unconscious for that long?”
She remembered it only felt like a moment in a dream, how could it be two days?
In the dream, there were fragments of memories from her past life flashing constantly. The memory of being skinned alive caused her great pain for a long time. Later, she found herself in a fairy-tale-like place, which felt incredibly comfortable and relaxing. Before she knew it, she fell asleep there and only woke up again to find herself back in reality.
Qingming asked, “A-Li, do you feel any differences in your body?”
Qingli subconsciously shook her head, then nodded, “It seems like there are some. I don’t feel uncomfortable at all; my body feels very light, and my spirit is particularly good. Other than that, there’s nothing else.”
Upon hearing this, Qingming seemed a bit disappointed. She didn’t seem to have gone through the Heavenly Tribulation after all.
It didn’t matter; as long as she was well, that was good enough.
“Alright! It’s good that you’re awake. That lightning should be your Death Tribulation. Since you’ve survived, then there’s no problem.”
Qingli was astonished!
“Huh? My Death Tribulation was just that lightning? It doesn’t look serious at all! It didn’t strike me; Master, are you pulling my leg? You said if the Death Tribulation wasn’t resolved, I would surely die.”
Qingming shot her a glance, “Hmph! You ungrateful child. Do you think if it weren’t for the Purple Qi protecting you, you could still be alive?”
Qingli curiously asked, “With the Purple Qi protecting me, does that mean the lightning wouldn’t strike me?”
Qingming replied, “Not exactly. Even if it were to strike you, the Purple Qi would block part of it. But you, my child, seem quite impressive; that lightning actually didn’t strike you directly.”
Qingming looked at his little disciple’s belly, beginning to anticipate the arrival of his two little grandchildren, certain they would be exceptionally intelligent children.
Qingli smiled and stroked her belly, “My children are so amazing! When they come out, I’ll be sure to thank them properly.”
Seeing his little sister gently touching her belly, Qingyu felt a pang of bitterness in his heart.
“Now that you’re awake, everything will be fine. Just focus on nurturing the baby! In just over two months, the children will be born.” Qingming said.
After that, the daily life of the master and disciples revolved around building their house. Most of the work was done by Qingyu and Jian Yue, while Qingming often slacked off.
But who would dare to say anything to him since he was the master?
Over the course of more than two months, the house was rebuilt, and they even managed to construct rooms for the two children.
Qingyu and Jian Yue went down the mountain again, returning with many items: clothes for the children, small blankets, and supplements for Qingli to help her regain her strength, bringing back a large haul of supplies.
