You Must be Crazy! The Young Educated Youth who went to the Countryside turned out to be a Master of Metaphysics Chapter 49

Chapter 49 Mu Jingxun is a good man

There was some wild boar meat left, so Jiang Li decided to make a spicy stir-fry for lunch. She added plenty of garlic cloves, chili peppers, and ginger to remove the gamey smell. Besides the meat, Jiang Li also stir-fried a dish of braised eggplant, a dish of spicy shredded potatoes, and a loofah soup. Lunch was delicious.

After lunch, Jiang Li found a chance to go to the commune. To avoid being discovered, she used an invisibility talisman when leaving the production team. No one saw her leave, so when the report came out, no one would suspect her.

Going to and from the commune took Jiang Li over an hour.  Luckily, she had a bicycle; it would have taken much longer if she had walked. After mailing the report, Jiang Li returned to the Victory Production Team.

It was still early, so Jiang Li went to the mountain to cultivate. After cultivating for two hours, Jiang Li felt refreshed. After her cultivation, she used her spiritual sense to search for game nearby.  Luckily, she found a wild boar.

After dealing with Peng Zhigang, Jiang Li would go to the county town to sell the game in her space. Besides the boar, she also found two wild chickens and two wild rabbits.

Jiang Li carried the two rabbits down the mountain; she would treat Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong to a good meal tonight.

The rabbits were quite fat; Jiang Li planned to roast them. Thinking of the fragrant roasted rabbit meat, Jiang Li started to salivate. When Jiang Li returned, Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong were already at the educated youth’s courtyard.

Because Jiang Li had gone to the commune and spent two hours cultivating in the mountains, she was later than usual. It was almost five o’clock in the afternoon when she arrived. Seeing Jiang Li return with two fat rabbits, Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong’s eyes lit up.

Bai Ziyong spoke first, “Sister Li, you’re so amazing! You found two more rabbits in the mountains?” Jiang Li nodded, “Yes, I was lucky; I just happened to run into them. We’ll have roasted rabbit meat tonight.

” Bai Ziyong happily said, “Okay, Sister Li, I’ll leave it to you.” Mu Jingxun took the rabbits from Jiang Li and said, “I’ll handle them.” Jiang Li didn’t stand on ceremony; Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong had been helping to handle these things lately.

When Mu Jingxun processed the rabbits, he carefully peeled off the rabbit skin, keeping it intact. After cleaning the skin, he quickly pickled it.

Seeing Mu Jingxun’s actions, Jiang Li asked, “Are you going to keep the rabbit skin?” Mu Jingxun nodded, “Yes, rabbit skin is fur; it’s warm. It’s quite cold in Northeast China in winter; if the rabbit skin can be made into gloves or a scarf, it would be very warm.

I’ll keep it; if you need it in winter, I’ll make you gloves or a scarf.” Jiang Li was surprised, “You know how to sew?” Mu Jingxun was like a peacock showing off its feathers; he wanted to show Jiang Li his many advantages to gain her favor. “Yes, I learned some essential skills as an educated youth. I can sew and cook.

But my cooking skills are average; it’s not as good as yours.”  Jiang Li looked at Mu Jingxun with admiration. It was indeed amazing that a man could do these things. Mu Jingxun was handsome, kind, and skilled; wasn’t he the perfect husband?

Jiang Li thought that if she were to find a partner or husband, she would want someone like Mu Jingxun. Cough, she had digressed. Mu Jingxun felt his cheeks heat up under Jiang Li’s gaze.  Jiang Li came back to her senses and smiled at Mu Jingxun, “Comrade Mu, I didn’t expect you to have this skill. Make me a scarf in winter; I haven’t bought one yet.

” Mu Jingxun readily agreed. When Jiang Li smiled at him, Mu Jingxun felt his heart skip a beat. Jiang Li was already beautiful, but her smile made her even more beautiful. Mu Jingxun was even more convinced that the revolutionary partner he wanted was someone like Jiang Li. After saying this, Jiang Li returned to her room.

Mu Jingxun continued to process the rabbits. After skinning the rabbits, he had to clean out the innards. Bai Ziyong wasn’t idle either; he was busy washing rice and vegetables. Seeing Mu Jingxun cleaning the rabbits with a smile, Bai Ziyong couldn’t help but approach him and ask, “Brother Xun, what good thing happened?

Why are you so happy?” Mu Jingxun didn’t want to tell Bai Ziyong the real reason, “I’m happy; I’m in a good mood. What’s it to you?” But Bai Ziyong felt that Mu Jingxun was acting strangely.

He felt that Brother Xun seemed to be in heat, but he didn’t dare to say it, fearing that Brother Xun would beat him up.

After Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong cleaned the vegetables and rabbit meat, Jiang Li started cooking.

Jiang Li marinated the two fat rabbits, skewered them, and roasted them over the fire. While roasting the rabbit meat, Jiang Li asked Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong to watch the heat and turn them frequently to prevent them from burning.

Jiang Li made a dish of hand-slapped cucumbers; that, along with the rabbit meat, was enough.  The flavor of roasted meat is enhanced with garlic, so Jiang Li peeled extra garlic cloves. After roasting the rabbit meat for a while, Jiang Li brushed a layer of honey on it.

Fortunately, Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong came from well-off families; otherwise, seeing Jiang Li using honey on the rabbit meat, they would have said she was wasteful. When the rabbit meat was golden brown on both sides, it was almost ready.

While Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong were roasting the rabbit meat, they were tempted by the aroma. Mu Jingxun, who had been waiting impatiently, asked Jiang Li, “Sister Li, how’s it going? Can we eat it yet?” Jiang Li checked the rabbit meat and said, “Almost ready, you can eat it.” Seeing that it was ready, Bai Ziyong immediately became excited.

The two roasted rabbits were brought to the table. Jiang Li took out a knife; they would cut the rabbit meat into small pieces. Jiang Li also made a dipping sauce; a piece of rabbit meat, dipped in the sauce, wrapped in lettuce, with a clove of garlic, was incredibly delicious. Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong thought the roasted rabbit meat was already delicious.

Following Jiang Li’s example, wrapping the meat in lettuce and adding garlic made it even better. Jiang Li couldn’t eat much, but Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong were big eaters; the two roasted rabbits were devoured completely.
