Chapter 4

An Ambiguous Night

In the bathroom, Jiang Yuan, after putting on her bra and underwear, rolled her eyes and muttered, “Did you only bring underwear? No clothes?”

Outside, Lin Senmu replied in confusion, “Think about it, you didn’t ask me to bring anything else!”

Oh my, he probably doesn’t have a girlfriend!!!

Jiang Yuan pouted and made another request, “Good man, could you please get me a set of clothes?”

“I can get the clothes, but I refuse the Friend card you’re giving me!!”

Lin Senmu knocked on the door, a bit annoyed.

Unconsciously, Jiang Yuan’s tone carried a hint of coquetry.

Lin Senmu once again admired the girl’s suitcase, and the thought of picking out clothes for her to wear and show him crossed his mind.

After dressing, Jiang Yuan pulled on the door.

This was their ‘first’ meeting under unexpected circumstances.

“Thank you for earlier!”

Jiang Yuan’s face flushed red as she quickly ran past Lin Senmu, her small feet stepping onto the footrest, and she hid under the covers of the upper bunk.

An ambiguous atmosphere lingered in the compartment.

To ease the awkwardness, Lin Senmu once again dialed the intercom, “Hello, the lock on the bathroom door here is broken.”

After the train attendant came and fixed the lock, Lin Senmu took his clothes and headed to the bathroom to shower.

Before closing the door, Lin Senmu noticed the girl’s damp hair and couldn’t help but remind her, “I’ve left a hairdryer on my bed, you can use it if you need. The compartment is quite cold, it’s easy to catch a cold.”

“I know.”

Jiang Yuan, with her back to Lin Senmu, replied in a whisper.

“Bang!”

Only after hearing the door close did Jiang Yuan slowly turn around, her beautiful almond-shaped eyes still filled with shyness, “Yuan Yuan, I’ve never been in so many embarrassing situations in my life as I have since meeting him!”

“Pfft, he must be a money fanatic.”

Having seen what she wanted, Jiang Yuan happily dried her jet-black hair.

By the time Lin Senmu finished his shower, Jiang Yuan had also finished drying her hair. She kept her promise and took Lin Senmu’s jacket into the bathroom to wash it in the sink.

While washing, she saw Lin Senmu’s socks and boxers hanging on the door panel, but she pretended not to see them, “There’s a girl here, and he doesn’t even bother to put them away!”

Lin Senmu also thought about this matter, but since things had already come to this, he could only pretend to forget and wait for the girl to come out before tidying up.

“The clothes are drying in the bathroom, they should be dry by tomorrow.”

Lin Senmu didn’t understand why the girl was blushing until he entered the bathroom again and saw the drying coat, the girl’s drying underwear, and his own socks and underpants.

This was the first time in her life she had washed a boy’s socks and underpants, even her father hadn’t received such treatment!

Lin Senmu had gained a huge advantage and, knowing the girl was embarrassed, he didn’t tease or provoke her.

The night grew deeper.

Lin Senmu yawned, reached out, and tapped the railing of the upper bunk, “Going to sleep? I’m turning off the light.”

“Okay~”

Jiang Yuan said softly.

Lin Senmu got up, walked to the door, and when he reached out to press the light switch, the hem of his T-shirt naturally lifted, revealing the outline of his abdominal muscles.

Jiang Yuan, facing the inside of the room, happened to catch a glimpse of this scene, her eyes slightly brightened!

“Click!”

The bright main light went out, and the compartment wasn’t completely dark, with a few small light holes still flickering with a faint glow.

Lin Senmu turned around, his gaze level with the end of the upper bunk, his pupils inadvertently widening.

What caught his eye was a pair of fair little feet sticking out from the blanket.

“Wow, they’re quite nice!”

Lin Senmu struggled to look away, sat back on the bed with a flustered heart, and when he bent down to take off his shoes, he saw another pair of shoes beside him, a pair of black women’s flats.

Through the faint light, Lin Senmu saw the size 36 marked inside the shoes.

“Stop, no more daydreaming, sleep sleep!”

Jiang Yuan was a night owl, scrolling through short videos until very late. At some point, she finally yawned, then pricked up her little ears to listen, “It’s very quiet, he doesn’t snore, doesn’t grind his teeth, and has abs, these are all plus points!”

Time came to the middle of the night.

In the train compartment, Lin Senmu in the lower bunk slept in a proper posture, lying flat on the bed with his hands folded over his abdomen, breathing evenly.

Jiang Yuan in the upper bunk was restless in her sleep, kicking the blanket, drooling, rolling left and right, displaying various post-sleep skills.

The air conditioner vent blew out chilly air, and the small space was much cooler than during the day.

Not long after, Jiang Yuan was awakened by the cold. She half-opened her eyes, groggily got out of bed, and, relying on memory, squeezed to the head of the lower bunk. She pressed the touch key switch a few times to raise the room temperature, then closed her sleepy eyes and lay down directly, burrowing into the warm blanket.

Then, her sleep-talking skill activated, “Why is there something next to me? Is it the big bear pillow from home?”

The confused Jiang Yuan hugged Lin Senmu beside her, then pulled the boy’s arm over to use as a pillow.

Before falling asleep, she puckered her little lips and gave him a kiss, “Mwah, smooch my bear!”

Being disturbed like this, Lin Senmu gradually woke up from his slumber. Before he could even see clearly, a small hand slipped into his clothes.

Girl, what are you doing?

“Hey, wake up!”

Lin Senmu gently nudged the girl.

Jiang Yuan held him even tighter, mumbling, “So sleepy, mom, don’t disturb my sleep!”

“…”

Lin Senmu was speechless.
