Chapter 19
Looking at her mother-in-law with red eyes, Tang Huan slowly opened her mouth to accept the feeding. She felt sad when she thought about being alone after moving out.
“Mom, I will come back to see you.”
If they don’t mind.
“Okay, then I’ll stew pork ribs, fry yellow croaker, stir-fry chicken nuggets, and make a vegetarian dish for you. Do you like rapeseed or cabbage?” Xing Cui turned around and continued to cut the pork head, muttering to herself.
Tang Huan chewed the pork in his mouth and listened to his mother-in-law’s announcement of the dishes. He sniffed in grievance, “Mom, I don’t like vegetables.”
“How can you not eat vegetables? How about I make you some mushy cabbage?” Xing Cui took another piece of lean meat and stuffed it into Tang Huan’s mouth.
What is rotten cabbage? Tang Huan felt even more aggrieved, “I haven’t eaten it.”
“What kind of life have you been living, kid? You’ve never even eaten mushy cabbage.” After cutting the pig’s head, Xing Cui put down the kitchen knife and picked up a piece of lean meat to feed her.
Tang Huan saw her movements and hurriedly stopped her, muttering softly: “Mom, I want to eat fat and lean meat.”
Xing Cui turned the lean meat in her hand and put it into her mouth, and replaced it with a piece of fat and lean meat for Tang Huan.
Putting the meat into Tang Huan’s mouth, looking at her pitiful appearance with red eyes, Xing Cui couldn’t help but put on a smile on her face, and patted her head with her other hand, “Don’t be afraid, Xiao Huan.”
Xing Cui couldn’t guarantee anything about others, but if Meng Zeyan said there was a way to solve it, then there must be a way.
“Mom, I can’t bear to leave you~” Tang Huan cried and hugged Xing Cui’s arm.
Xing Cui said, “How about we just eat mushy cabbage tonight?”
Tang Huan nodded with emotion, “Okay.”
She followed Xing Cui like a shadow. When Xing Cui went to the yard to pick vegetables, she followed closely.
Meng Zeyan was sitting on the sofa in the main room. He could see a little bit of what was happening in the yard and clearly saw Tang Huan and Comrade Xing Cui coming and going several times.
To be honest, he didn’t expect Tang Huan to fight with Li Feng, and he didn’t expect her to think about moving out.
Go back to the Tang family?
No, as long as Li Feng is here, Tang Huan will not go back to the Tang family.
So she’s planning to move out and live on her own?
Has she ever thought about what she, a thin female comrade, would do if Li Feng came to harass her?
Meng Zeyan will have to return to the army in three days. It seems that some hidden dangers need to be eliminated, otherwise it will be unsafe for the old couple to take care of a little girl.
While cooking, Xing Cui told Tang Huan not to tell Meng Qinghe that she was moving out first, and to wait until she had done some ideological work on Meng before telling him.
This is a good idea. Tang Huan actually doesn’t know how to start the conversation. She can talk to her mother-in-law and father-in-law first, then it will be easier for them to convince her.
Tang Huan moved a small stool and sat in a corner of the kitchen where it was out of the way, helping her mother-in-law cook.
In her previous life, her parents died when she was a child. Her brother always said that they loved her the most. Tang Huan always smiled and said she knew.
In fact, she didn’t remember what they looked like at all, nor did she remember anything about her childhood. All she knew about her interactions with her parents and what happened was told to her by her brother.
She looked at photos of her parents and imagined how they loved her, but her imagination was always unreal.
All the parental love that Tang Huan actually felt came from her parents-in-law. She would unconsciously act like a spoiled brat with Xing Cui, and she liked the feeling of being spoiled by them like a child.
But she said she wanted to move out. It was clear that my mother-in-law was reluctant to let her go just now, but now she is humming a little tune while frying eggs! ! !
‘The branches are full of fragrance and beauty~~~Jasmine, jasmine~~ยทยทยทยท’
Tang Huan held up his chin and listened to his mother-in-law humming a tune in a very good mood. His cheeks slowly puffed up, and he was so angry! Has her mother-in-law wanted her to move out a long time ago?
“Tang Huan, do you want some freshly fried eggs?” Xing Cui served the fried eggs, turned around and asked Tang Huan, who was sitting obediently.
“Eat.” The mother-in-law asked her if she wanted to eat as soon as the eggs were fried. It was obvious that she loved her very much!
But why is she so happy? And sing!
Taking a small bowl and picking out a few pieces, Xing Cui handed the bowl to Tang Huan and also gave her a pair of chopsticks.
She ate eggs from a small bowl. Xing Cui turned around and continued working while singing.
“Mom, you sing beautifully.” Tang Huan is always sweet-mouthed.
Xing Cui rarely met a soulmate, “Isn’t it true? When mom was young, she was the mainstay of our factory’s cultural evening party.”
Tang Huan could see that her mother-in-law was really in a good mood and was not pretending…
When Meng Qinghe came home from get off work, none of the three told him what happened at home.
While eating, he asked his wife curiously why she was in such a good mood.
Xing Cui glanced at him. How did this old man know that she was in a good mood? What nonsense!
After taking care of her husband, Xing Cui glanced towards Tang Huan’s position and happened to see her daughter-in-law’s confused and aggrieved look.
The child said he wanted to move away. She was already sad, so how could she be happy?
Xing Cui hurriedly explained: “Xiao Huan, don’t listen to your dad’s nonsense, mom is very sad!”
If she could look a little sad when she said this, Tang Huan would believe it!
Meng Qinghe didn’t understand, “My dear, why are you so sad?”
Meng Zeyan: “Dad, do you want to drink? I’ll get it for you.”
“drink!”
Is there such a good thing? Normally, whenever Meng Qinghe wanted to drink some wine, he had to ask for permission.
With the wine in hand, Meng Qinghe had no time to find out why Xing Cui was sad.
The wine smelled really good, but Meng Zeyan just took two wine glasses.
Tang Huan secretly glanced at the wine bottle, and tried to endure it again and again, but finally decided not to endure it anymore!
She wants to drink too.
Tang Huan stood up and trotted back to the main room, took out a wine glass, lowered his head and placed it on the table in front of him.
She has already placed the wine glasses on the table, so my uncle and father-in-law should be able to understand what she means, right?
The bottle of wine was next to Meng Zeyan, and he poured a glass for Lao Meng and himself.
Unexpectedly, Tang Huan also took out a wine glass. He didn’t have the idea that female comrades couldn’t drink. He didn’t bring wine glasses for them because Xing Cui didn’t drink, and he didn’t know whether Tang Huan would drink or not.
He picked up the wine bottle and filled the glass in front of Tang Huan.
When drinking among family members, there is no need to clink glasses or toast. Just hold the glass and drink slowly.
The aroma emanating from the wine glass was stronger than any he had smelled before. Tang Huan picked up the glass and took a small sip to taste it first.
There is a spicy feeling at first, and as it flows down the throat, the spicy taste dissipates little by little, leaving an indescribable mellow fragrance in the mouth.
It tastes quite good.
After taking one sip after another, the small wine glass was soon empty.
Tang Huan put the wine glass back on the table. She saw that after her father-in-law finished drinking, her uncle would take the initiative to refill his glass.
She finished her drink, and her uncle should have filled her glass again.
Meng Zeyan did pour her another glass, intending to remind her to drink slowly and eat while she did so.
He thought about it and said nothing.
Pick up the wine glass and continue tasting it, it tastes better and better.
After another glass of wine, Tang Huan put down his glass again.
Meng Zeyan didn’t know whether he should continue pouring. Tang Huan drank too fast and he was afraid she would get drunk.
Watching Tang Huan drinking cup after cup, Meng Qinghe silently sped up his drinking pace. This wine was his treasure, and he only had one bottle!
No one had been pouring wine for a long time. Wine made cowards bolder. Tang Huan raised his head and looked at Meng Zeyan, saying, “I want more~.”
