Chapter 5: “Bean Sprout” Dominates the World
When Luo Qi Qi asked, “Bean Sprout” seemed a little embarrassed and used the only leaf it had to make some gestures.
“Indeed, there is a small favor I need you to help with.”
“You want something? Aside from the things in the space, I can say I’m dirt poor. You’re not thinking of stealing from them, are you?”
Luo Qi Qi immediately became defensive upon hearing this.
“Bean Sprout” rolled its eyes, thinking to itself: If I really wanted to take something from you, there’s no way you could stop me.
But it said, “The things you have aren’t of any use to me. What I need to recover requires rare resources—pure and natural, unpolluted ones.”
“Like a hundred-year-old Lingzhi mushroom, a hundred-year-old ginseng, or a hundred-year-old snow lotus. The older, the better.”
“Lingzhi? Ginseng? Do you think they’re just like common vegetables, easy to grab by the bunch…” Luo Qi Qi thought.
“I come from a noble lineage. What I’m asking for is actually the most basic and least valuable stuff!” “Bean Sprout” said, a little unhappy.
“Well, if that’s the case, I won’t stay and chat. You figure it out yourself.” Luo Qi Qi stood up, ready to leave.
Seeing that Luo Qi Qi was really about to leave, “Bean Sprout” gritted its teeth and then sighed.
“Ordinary herbs aren’t completely out of the question, but the effect is a bit weaker, and I’ll need quite a lot of them…”
“Why didn’t you say that earlier?” Luo Qi Qi sat back down without any intention of leaving.
“You noble lineage of yours, surely it has more uses than just this?” Luo Qi Qi asked as she examined “Bean Sprout” in front of her.
“Of course. My leaves can condense ice dew. As long as I still have a breath left, I can save someone. Even if they’re healthy, drinking it can expel impurities from the body and strengthen it. Once I have enough energy to grow into vines, I can kill people without a trace…”
Oops, I got too excited and spilled the beans!
“Bean Sprout” shot Luo Qi Qi a resentful look.
This crafty little person!
“Oh? Is it really as impressive as you say?”
“Hmph, I won’t fall for it again!” “Bean Sprout” was now calm, not easily provoked by Luo Qi Qi.
“Sigh, I’ve crossed over into this body. When I arrived, I was unconscious, only hanging by a thread. Now, I can’t even walk a few steps without gasping for breath. Next, I have to flee from a disaster, and I probably won’t last much longer. Do you think I can cross over again?”
Seeing that “Bean Sprout” was ignoring her, Luo Qi Qi continued talking to herself.
“What do you think? Do you think I can cross over again? I can barely maintain a human form right now, let alone cross over. What, you think I can eat a fart?”
“Bean Sprout” couldn’t take it anymore. It finally said, “There’s only this one drop of ice dew. Don’t even think about more!”
With that, it fell silent. Talking any further might just kill it with frustration!
Luo Qi Qi watched as the crystal-clear drop of dew slid off the leaf and floated in front of her.
Is this really as magical as it sounds? Luo Qi Qi was skeptical.
It looked just like water. She even stuck out her tongue to lick it, but there was no flavor.
Where did it go? Did I lick it all away?
Before she could taste anything, it was gone, leaving her with no real experience!
“Is this going to upset my stomach?” Luo Qi Qi wondered aloud.
“Is ‘Bean Sprout’ still around? I don’t feel anything… Could it have expired?”
Seeing that “Bean Sprout” was silent, Luo Qi Qi worried she had pushed it too far and that the “child” was now upset.
If “Bean Sprout” heard that, it would surely say, “You’re the child. Your whole family is made up of children. I’m thousands of years old. I’m your ancestor.”
She stood up and patted her clothes clean.
She slapped her forehead. She’d been in here for quite some time, and it wouldn’t be good if someone found out.
Better get out quickly!
“Gurururu…” As soon as she stepped outside, Luo Qi Qi’s stomach rumbled loudly.
She pressed her stomach and crouched down. “I was careless. Could that thing have been poisonous?”
Luo Qi Qi hurried to the bathroom.
After a long while, she finally came out.
Good grief, it had made her exhausted to the point of weakness.
That stuff “Bean Sprout” gave her must have had some issue.
Seeing that Luo Shi Tou was still waiting patiently in place, she felt relieved.
Luo Qi Qi returned to the space. “Bean Sprout” was still sulking from being teased earlier.
When Luo Qi Qi entered, “Bean Sprout” turned its tiny sprouting body around, sticking its rear end toward her.
Of course, Luo Qi Qi didn’t notice. Even if she did, she wouldn’t be able to tell which side was the head and which was the rear.
When she approached, Luo Qi Qi asked, “Is the ice dew you gave me problematic?”
Hearing her question, “Bean Sprout” retorted, “It’s because your body has too many impurities, which caused such a strong reaction. How could it be my ice dew that’s problematic?”
“Hmph, just take a look in the mirror and you’ll see what changes you’ve undergone,” “Bean Sprout” said, with an irritated tone.
Half-believing and half-doubting, Luo Qi Qi picked up a mirror from the space’s inventory area.
The person in front of her had long black hair that reached her waist, and her skin was smooth and tender like a newborn’s.
Her small face, no larger than the size of a palm, had a pair of clear, fox-like eyes. With every frown and smile, she captivated hearts.
Coupled with a delicate nose and rosy lips.
She was almost identical to her previous life!
Looking at the reflection in the mirror, Luo Qi Qi felt as if she were gazing into another world.
Compared to the original body, her facial features hadn’t changed much.
But her skin had improved significantly.
Her overall aura was also different. Even her biological father might not recognize her now!
It seemed that the ice dew really was a beauty treatment!
In addition to the physical changes, Luo Qi Qi could feel that her strength had increased as well. Just this morning, with the two people, she could take one down with just one hand.
It was indeed a great thing!
Although she was satisfied with the effects of the ice dew, Luo Qi Qi didn’t show it. Otherwise, that would be like slapping her own face, wouldn’t it?
With that thought, Luo Qi Qi calmly walked back.
“It does have some effect. Seeing as you’re so sincere, I’ll do my best to help you find what you need.”
“But…”
“But what? That was the last drop. There’s nothing left, no matter what you say,” “Bean Sprout” immediately became alert when hearing the possible turn in her words.
“I’m not asking for it right now. I’m not that greedy. I’ll come to you when I need it. How about that?” Luo Qi Qi smiled.
“Bean Sprout” frowned. “Isn’t this being greedy? You’re already planning for the future.”
But the future wouldn’t be so easy.
“Bean Sprout” nodded in agreement.
“Alright, then.”
“My name is Luo Qi Qi, your future partner,” Luo Qi Qi said with a professional smile, extending her hand. She paused for a moment and then retracted it.
“Partner?” “Bean Sprout” was confused.
“You didn’t want to call me a human, right? So let’s call it a partnership,” Luo Qi Qi explained.
“Bean Sprout” thought for a moment and agreed.
“I am Ba Tian. My original form is the Blood Vine. I can also take on a human form in the future.”
At this moment, Ba Tian spoke with a serious tone, as though he had understood Luo Qi Qi’s intention and explained himself.
Luo Qi Qi wasn’t very interested in whether or not he could take on a human form.
After all, he was still just a newly sprouted plant, and transforming into a human? That might take forever.
However, the name “Ba Tian” was… interesting.
Luo Qi Qi couldn’t help but laugh, “Ba Tian?”
“Doesn’t it sound domineering? I just made it up myself,” Ba Tian said proudly when he noticed Luo Qi Qi paying attention to his name.
The leaf also seemed to flicker in excitement.
“Well… then I’ll call you Little Green from now on.”
Luo Qi Qi suppressed her laughter and said.
“No way, that’s not domineering at all! It doesn’t match my mighty and glorious image,” “Bean Sprout” immediately rejected without thinking.
“Then it’s Bean Sprout. Alright, that’s settled.” Before “Bean Sprout” could continue protesting, Luo Qi Qi swiftly walked away.
Leaving Bean Sprout sulking behind.
Next time, he would definitely make it clear to her, he thought, gritting his teeth in frustration.
