Upon hearing Lou Manqing’s words, the Ming family members found themselves at a loss.
Watching Lou Manqing calmly utter these somewhat absurd words, they glanced at the other person, who looked truly ugly.
However, he was right. Once they recover, another beating should be given, ensuring they wouldn’t dare show up in front of Xinxin. That would be for the best.
“Brother Qing, he probably wouldn’t dare come to my house, right?” Ming Wanxin expressed her concerns.
She was still somewhat fearful that the Chen family might cause trouble again, which would bring them a lot of problems.
“Don’t worry, he won’t dare come over,” Lou Manqing reassured her.
Upon hearing Lou Manqing’s words, Ming Wanxin immediately felt reassured.
“Brother Qing is truly the best,” Ming Wanxin happily exclaimed.
Lou Manqing gently ruffled Ming Wanxin’s hair, his face lit up with a smile. Indeed, Ming Wanxin was even more adorable like this.
Seeing Lou Manqing’s expression, Wang Jinhe made a disdainful remark, “You look absolutely clueless.”
“Sister-in-law, I think you’re just jealous of me because Su Yu isn’t home,” Lou Manqing grumbled dissatisfiedly.
Upon hearing Lou Manqing’s words, Wang Jinhe suddenly felt a pang of guilt.
“I’ll definitely tell Su Yu about this, and when he returns, you’ll be in big trouble,” Wang Jinhe said disdainfully, glaring at Lou Manqing.
She had helped this young man out, and he dared to speak like that?
Absolutely clueless.
“I helped you out, and this is how you treat me? You really are ungrateful,” Wang Jinhe scornfully glanced at Lou Manqing, expressing disdain.
Lou Manqing humbly replied, “Sister-in-law, I know I was wrong.”
Ming Wanxin looked at Lou Manqing in surprise, never expecting to see him in this light. It was quite amusing.
“So, Brother Qing, you’re actually afraid of Princess Wang Jinhe and the Prince,” Ming Wanxin joked.
Lou Manqing cleared his throat, saying nothing more.
He wasn’t afraid of Wang Jinhe, just wary of that guy Su Yu.
Su Yu now is undeniably a complete lunatic.
He absolutely did not want to attract Su Yu’s attention.
Due to this unexpected turn of events, everyone couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
After spending a day at the Ming residence, Wang Jinhe and Lou Manqing left together in the afternoon.
Upon returning to the residence, Lou Manqing gratefully said, “Sister-in-law, I truly appreciate your help this time.”
Hearing this, Wang Jinhe chuckled and shook her head, “You’ve helped me a lot too, even sacrificing your dignity for my sake. What I did was just a small favor in return.”
Upon hearing this, Lou Manqing smiled. Initially, he had helped Wang Jinhe simply out of regard for Su Yu’s face.
At this moment, Lou Manqing had wholeheartedly acknowledged Wang Jinhe.
Wang Jinhe treated them all exceptionally well.
She was willing to share good things with them.
During their time there, they had enjoyed plenty of her amazing fruits and vegetables, and even had priority access to sought-after wines at low prices, while others paid a premium.
“The first time I saw you, to be honest, I didn’t think you were a match for Su Yu. After all, Su Yu is truly outstanding, to the extent that it seems like no one could be his wife. I even thought he was with you out of responsibility and for the sake of Xiao Bao,” Lou Manqing remarked to Wang Jinhe.
Wang Jinhe looked surprised at Lou Manqing, evidently not expecting him to say such things.
“I understand,” she could sense that Lou Manqing’s initial politeness towards her was solely because of Su Yu.
He was willing to help and address her as “sister-in-law” only because Su Yu approved of her. In reality, he did not truly accept her presence.
Lou Manqing looked unexpectedly at Wang Jinhe as well, “Aren’t you angry?”
Wang Jinhe gazed at Lou Manqing strangely, with a hint of confusion in her eyes, “Why would I be angry?”
“Aren’t you upset about what we’ve done?” Lou Manqing wondered if her temper was a little too forgiving.
“You are Su Yu’s friends, not mine. I am happy that you haven’t embarrassed me, just to please him. There’s no rule that states one must instantly accept a friend’s wife upon first meeting, right?” Wang Jinhe furrowed her brow, expressing her lack of understanding towards Lou Manqing’s words.
Upon hearing his words, Lou Manqing’s eyes reflected a sense of speechlessness. It seemed they had underestimated this sister-in-law; in reality, she was the most perceptive person among them.
“Sister-in-law, I did have some prejudice against you before, but now I fully accept you. You are indeed the most suitable person for Su Yu,” he could sense that Su Yu was the happiest when he was with Wang Jinhe.
This happiness was something he had never seen in Su Yu before.
He had met Su Yu when he was only fifteen years old, and even then, he felt that Su Yu was someone with many stories.
Not only did he carry many secrets, but these were secrets that no one else knew.
As time passed, he came to understand just how remarkable Su Yu truly was. Back then, many people liked him, but he seemed uninterested in anyone.
When they were together, they couldn’t help but tease Su Yu sometimes, jokingly wondering if Su Yu might be uninterested in romantic relationships. Little did they know that he would be the first among them to have a child.
Moreover, the child looked exactly like him.
Every time they saw Xiao Bao, it felt like they were looking at Su Yu in his childhood.
As they all grew older, Su Yu became even more intimidating. The most boisterous among them would act obediently and listen quietly to Su Yu, who was a few years younger. Whenever Su Yu would calmly gaze at them, they couldn’t utter a word.
“Actually, we always thought Su Yu would never find someone, but after meeting you, we realized that he does have moments of tenderness.”
“Before meeting you, we were actually worried that one day Su Yu might lose control unexpectedly. But now, it seems he won’t do anything to jeopardize his own self-control, which is good for him.”
Listening to Lou Manqing’s words, Wang Jinhe couldn’t help but chuckle. It appeared that Lou Manqing and Su Yu had a really good relationship, as he had shared all these things with her.
“Aren’t you worried that I might tell Su Yu about this?” Wang Jinhe asked, surprised, as she looked at Lou Manqing.
Lou Manqing shook his head with a smile, “I’m not worried. I’ve already told Su Yu these things. I even told him directly that you weren’t up to his standard. He replied, ‘You’ll understand in the future. She is the one who is most suitable for me.'”
Initially, he had been somewhat dismissive of this, but later realized that Su Yu’s judgment was indeed better than his own.
“Now it seems you are truly the most suitable person for Su Yu. But this is also good.”
“Go rest, I have work to attend to.” Wang Jinhe didn’t want to continue discussing this matter with Lou Manqing. In fact, she had always known that Su Yu’s friends had some reservations about her, but they had never vocalized it.
Even Nan Qiao and the rest felt the same way, but they were the quickest to accept her, so she treated them well too.
