Chapter 52: Goal – Corrupting Hei Tong
After waiting for a day, the beautiful mute showed no intention of returning to the cavern.
“What the hell did you do to the lass? She didn’t come back for a day!” Hei Tong’s mood became even more fretful, and it could be seen that she had extraordinary concern for the beautiful mute.
“How am I supposed to know? Didn’t you run in suddenly and throw me out of bed?” Ye Wenxin was even more speechless. She knew that Hei Tong’s IQ was not high, but it was very rare to see her so grumpy.
Hei Tong was even more disgruntled, but still sat next to Ye Wenxin, giving Ye Wenxin a clear view of her expression. As time passed, Ye Wenxin watched Hei Tong’s emotions gradually settling down, and remembered something she had always wanted to know.
“Speaking of which, you keep calling that beautiful mute ‘lass’, who is she?”
In Ye Wenxin’s eyes, it was absolutely impossible for a world-class babe like the beautiful mute to be so unknown, yet Ye Wenxin had never heard of such a good-looking and powerful woman before.
“How would I know?”
“I thought you’ve known each other for a long time.”
“I don’t care who she is, I only know that she’s very good to me. Unlike you, when I was working hard robbing to support the family, you came here to sleep.” Ye Wenxin was dumbfounded, she really did not expect the source of Hei Tong’s ire turned out to be her.
“Wait a minute, don’t tell me you came back to find the mute to be your partner in crime?” Ye Wenxin also grasped the key point from this information. Seeing that Hei Tong had been completely led astray, after searching for Ye Wenxin’s whereabouts for two days to no avail, she planned to find the beautiful mute as her accomplice.
Hei Tong did not speak, those pretty orbs wandering, not daring to look at Ye Wenxin.
Ye Wenxin did not want to ask further, Hei Tong had just gained human form, so she lacked discipline, behaved rudely, and her thoughts were still stuck in the period when she was a spirit beast. She could not tell the difference between good and evil, let alone had the ability to judge right from wrong.
Ye Wenxin also took advantage of this to lead Hei Tong down the path of evil, and seeing that Hei Tong was still very unhappy, she must not have received much benefit from the senior brothers and sisters.
“Let me teach you a set of Phantom Steps.” Ye Wenxin considered it, and finally decided to teach Hei Tong a little something.
Hearing that powerful name, Hei Tong’s eyes gleamed and she got even closer, wanting to express her joy directly by sticking it right in Ye Wenxin’s face.
“Too close.” Ye Wenxin frowned slightly and put some distance between the beautiful face and her.
“Sorry, sorry. Got used to it from when I was a spirit beast.” Hei Tong did not care about the close contact at all. Instead, sshe took Ye Wenxin’s hand and continued to shake it.
“Tell me about this Phantom Steps, is it great?” The separated distance became intimately close again, and Ye Wenxin was too lazy to correct Hei Tong’s control over her sense of distance.
“It’s not bad, third best in the world.” This was a manual that Ye Wenxin obtained by chance, but as it was the third best in the world, although she has studied it, she had never used it.
Therefore, even if she taught it to Hei Tong, no one would associate Hei Tong with Demon Lord Gu Qingcheng.
“That sounds good. Hurry and tell me what to do.”
In the midst of conversation, Hei Tong felt a sudden emptiness in her hand, and when she looked again, Ye Wenxin was already standing dozens of meters away from her. Her speed was incredibly fast, if Hei Tong had not been a spirit beast accustomed to relying on speed herself, she would not have been able to discern Ye Wenxin’s movement route at all.
“When you go to charm those senior sisters and brothers in the future, just use your human form, grab some random inner disciple’s clothes, and you’ll be able to blend in for a while.” Ye Wenxin continued to offer advice, with more mischievous ideas brewing in her mind.
“But, aren’t you worried that my relationship with Demon Lord Gu Qingcheng will be exposed?” Hei Tong was quite confused and could not understand Ye Wenxin’s actions.
“I checked back then, and there were no people from the Azure Wings Sect. If your activities are confined to within the sect, there shouldn’t be any problems. Even if you’re discovered, others would just think that Hei Tong was a demon cultivator who had infiltrated the Azure Wings Sect, and won’t associate you with the crow in the backwoods.” Ye Wenxin analyzed the current situation. Most of the Azure Wings Sect members were imperial descendants and nobles, so their bags of holding and storage rings were fat with treasures.
If Hei Tong could really learn Phantom Steps, it would definitely be advantageous and harmless.
“Got it, teach me quickly then.” The more Hei Tong listened, the more excited she became. Ye Wenxin taught her the mnemonic and control tricks, and then continued to meditate in the cavern, studying the second of the Soul-Suppressing Eighteen Needles.
Although she had wasted several days in the backwoods, she had acquired the ancient book [Soul-Suppressing Eighteen Needles], so this was a tremendously good thing for Ye Wenxin.
She waited in the cavern for another day, but the beautiful mute still had not returned. Instead, Hei Tong ran over again and told Ye Wenxin that she had grasped Phantom Steps.
“How about it, aren’t I very smart?”
“Mm, pretty good. Practice more. You can use this kind of step even if you transform into a spirit beast, but you need to figure out how to use it yourself.” Ye Wenxin was certainly surprised, back then it took her three days to learn Phantom Steps, yet Hei Tong had completely mastered it after studying it for a day, making Ye Wenxin sincerely feel that Hei Tong had exceptional talent.
If properly trained, her future achievements would surely not be inferior to those of the top-grade spirit beasts in Beast Taming Garden, one of the Ten Great Immortal Sects.
It was a pity that this Hei Tong seemed accustomed to freedom, so naturally, Ye Wenxin would not set her sights on her, let alone entertain the idea of forming a contract with Hei Tong. Even if a contract was actually made, Ye Wenxin had already taught Hei Tong into becoming a thief, which would only invite trouble to herself.
After much consideration, Ye Wenxin felt it would be best to quickly corrupt Hei Tong and then keep her at a distance.
With this in mind, Ye Wenxin watched as Hei Tong once again approached her and continued to persuade her to rob those participants.
“Remember, make sure to target those who dress well and look like they deserve a beating. They usually have plenty of loot, and it’s quite satisfying to beat them up,” Ye Wenxin continued instructing, while Hei Tong nodded eagerly. With her movements, her bangs gently fell down, and her pretty dark eyes exuded charm.
If there was a man in front of Hei Tong right now, he would have already been thrown off guard by her actions. However, Ye Wenxin did not even realize this, and even subconsciously helped Hei Tong tidy up her hair, tucking the excess strands behind her ear.
Ye Wenxin’s movements were casual, and Hei Tong did not notice anything wrong with the interaction, rubbing Ye Wenxin’s arm affectionately. Ye Wenxin became even more helpless, pulled her arm away, and reminded again, “Remember, you’ve now transformed into a human form. You must maintain your human appearance so that you won’t be suspected.”
Hei Tong pouted a little, but the two were alone at the moment, even if she really took action, she was no match for Ye Wenxin, and thus could only watch with helpless longing.
Ye Wenxin found it a bit unbearable to see Hei Tong’s small animal-like gaze, but she resisted the urge to touch her head, lest Hei Tong discover her weakness for animals.
“Go on, get, I’ll also be leaving the backwoods tomorrow.” Ye Wenxin waved her hands urgingly, and finally drove Hei Tong away through deceptive cajoling.
Hei Tong was even more disgruntled, this cavern was obviously her home, and she gave the beautiful mute and Ye Wenxin the key to enter, but she did not expect that she would be the one driven away.
However, thinking about what Ye Wenxin had taught her just now, Hei Tong became very excited again, started using Phantom Steps, and then quickly disappeared.
“She’s truly a fast learner.” Ye Wenxin also exited the cavern not long after, broke through to second-stage Qi Refining, and then started strolling through the woods, resuming to testing the effects of the first Soul-Suppressing Needle…
“The second trial is over. You may leave the woods and gather at the stone monument.” Early on the seventh day, a male voice echoed through the entire backwoods.
Ye Wenxin was still lying lazily on a demonic beast. When she heard this announcement, she rolled over and continued to sleep.
The demonic beast was a white tiger (Bai Hu), known as the overlord of the backwoods, but now it had an uneasy expression on its face, afraid that its movements would wake up the ancestor lying on it.
“The second trial is over. You may leave the woods and gather at the stone monument.”
About a quarter of an hour later, the male voice sounded again, like an alarm clock that could not be pressed. Ye Wenxin knocked Bai Hu on the head, and Bai Hu was so frightened that its limbs went weak, worrying that Ye Wenxin would torture it again.
But Ye Wenxin seemed to still be dreaming, and she knocked Bai Hu’s head a few more times.
The surrounding demonic beasts became even more reluctant to venture out. Although they did not fear death, this method that Ye Wenxin had learned from an unknown source inflicted an experience even worse than death. In just one night, she subdued the king of the mountain into an obedient kitten.
“The second trial is over. You may leave the forest and gather at the stone monument.”
The voice sounded for the third time, and Ye Wenxin finally felt a little awake. She stretched out on Bai Hu’s back, her slender legs pale and smooth, and she was dressed in red chiffon. Even if she had just woken up, such captivating movements made even the demonic beasts present feel the woman’s flirtatiousness.
“I shouldn’t have bothered until so late yesterday.” The woman spoke, her voice seductive to the bone, and her words thought-provoking. However, upon hearing this sentence, all the surrounding demonic beasts instinctively lowered their heads, afraid to make eye contact with the woman.
“Hmm, how did I change back?” At this moment, the woman realized that both her voice and body were not right. She activated her secret technique, and in an instant, she reverted back to the appearance of a thirteen-year-old girl.
This person was naturally Ye Wenxin. She took out a bronze mirror and stared at her face for a long time. After confirming that her appearance did not change much from the previous appearance, she tapped Bai Hu’s head again.
“Take me to the stone monument.” The ferocious Bai Hu dared not to show its anger, and ran along the road carrying Ye Wenxin without any complaints. Ye Wenxin continued to lie down leisurely, feeling as if she was sinking into cotton, and then fell asleep on Bai Hu’s back.
Without knowing how long had passed, Ye Wenxin heard the noise of a crowd all around, prompting her to get up and check…
Only to see everyone staring at her, surprised and frightened, as if they did not understand how she had tamed the demonic beast before them, which exuded a powerful aura.
