After Crossing, I Escaped with the Ball in my Hand Chapter 7

Chapter 7: Let Them “Laugh a Little Longer”

Fortunately, Luo Lao didn’t disappoint her.

“By the way, I found some medicine from Old Liu’s house. Take some before we continue,” Luo Lao said, recalling Luo Qi Qi’s health and becoming worried again.

“I’m fine now, Father. We can go,” Luo Qi Qi responded with a reassuring smile.

“I even knocked out those two people in the yard today. I still have plenty of strength,” Luo Qi Qi said, raising her arm and mimicking a punching motion.

Luo Lao laughed and patted her head. Ever since her mother passed away, he hadn’t seen such a lively daughter. Although Luo Lao San had hurt him deeply, Luo Qi Qi’s energy lifted his spirits. He still had his son and daughter.

“Let’s go!”

Seeing that Luo Qi Qi was truly fine, Luo Lao prepared to handle the people in the yard.

“I’ll go with you, Father,” Luo Qi Qi said.

“Alright, saves me some trouble,” Luo Lao nodded, agreeing.

Luo Qi Qi followed her father outside. She wanted to see how he would deal with this matter.

Luo Lao immediately knocked out the three of them without saying a word, giving Luo Lao San no chance to plead or beg for mercy.

Then he called Luo Qi Qi over and had her drag Luo Lao San along behind him.

There was no way the other two would be easy for her to drag. They were large and imposing, clearly too heavy for Luo Qi Qi to move.

Luo Qi Qi really wanted to say something. She could easily lift a cow now—this was too shocking, so she kept her mouth shut and just accepted the love from her father.

When they reached the forest where they had found the little girl earlier, Luo Lao tossed the three of them there, clapped his hands, and was about to leave.

It seemed that Luo Lao had given them a chance to survive.

Luo Qi Qi lingered behind. She didn’t intend to just let them off this easily; it was too merciful for them.

Luo Qi Qi’s eyes twinkled as she came up with an idea. “Father, I accidentally dropped one of the earrings Mother left for me. I probably lost it just now. Let me go back and look for it. You go ahead first, and I’ll catch up with you.”

Luo Lao nodded when he heard this. He knew how much his daughter valued those earrings.

After a brief thought, he said, “Alright. If you find it, hurry back. We’ll clean up and leave as soon as we can.”

Luo Lao trusted his eldest daughter.

Despite her quiet nature, she was steady in everything she did. Since the Tatars were still far off, it was relatively safe here.

Once everything was arranged, Luo Lao turned and hurried on.

Once Luo Lao had left, Luo Qi Qi slowly walked towards the three unconscious people.

“You all worked so hard to come to my house. I should at least show some gratitude, right? Otherwise, I’ll appear rude, wouldn’t I?”

Luo Qi Qi kicked the unconscious trio awake with a bright smile.

“Whimper…” The three of them didn’t want any gratitude. They shook their heads violently, trying to retreat.

“Well, I’ve prepared a big gift for you.”

Luo Qi Qi said to herself, looking at them huddling together.

“Don’t rush, one at a time, everyone will get their turn!”

Ignoring their protests, a bottle of greenish, glowing liquid appeared in her hand.

Seeing the liquid materialize out of nowhere, the three of them stared in terror, trembling uncontrollably.

“Whimper… She’s a devil! That Luo Lao San deliberately led us here…” The two brothers instantly regretted going to Luo Qi Qi’s house.

At that moment, they had all kinds of thoughts about dismantling Luo Lao San.

Luo Lao San, who was being targeted by the two brothers, had already wet himself, hiding in the corner pretending to be dead.

Luo Qi Qi, holding the green liquid that faintly glowed under the moonlight, smiled at them.

The three of them immediately felt like they were being targeted by a terrifying creature.

A gust of wind passed by, making the feeling even stronger, and their bodies shook even more violently.

Before they could react, the green liquid was poured into their mouths.

Just when they couldn’t take it anymore, and Luo Qi Qi removed the rag from their mouths, Luo Lao San started to beg.

“I had no choice, Qi Qi, I’m your third uncle! You can’t do this to me! … Ugh…”

Before he could finish, Luo Qi Qi poured the rest of the liquid into his mouth.

“I know, dear third uncle, but don’t worry, I saved the best for you!” After feeding him the medicine, Luo Qi Qi immediately stepped back a few meters.

It was way too disgusting!

The three men continued to dry-heave, but no matter how much bile they vomited, the medicine they ingested was already being absorbed into their bodies.

Luo Qi Qi looked at their miserable state and felt a sense of satisfaction.

“Don’t waste your energy. By dawn, you’ll fully experience the wonders of my potion. This is a rare and precious medicine, worth more than gold. You’re really getting a bargain,” she said, her voice dripping with mockery.

The three men didn’t think that the medicine she gave them would be anything good. They were terrified, but could only suffer as the potion took effect.

After finishing with the medicine, Luo Qi Qi casually knocked them unconscious.

This sleep would last them until morning, leaving them no time to do anything before the full effect kicked in.

Once she was done, Luo Qi Qi couldn’t help but laugh to herself as she imagined their reactions by dawn.

The medicine she had given them was called “Laughing All the Way.” It was a concoction she had created when she was bored, but had never tested it on a person before. Now, it would be put to the test.

Of course, Luo Qi Qi’s creations were always top-notch.

In the modern world, who didn’t know the name of Dr. Luo Qi Qi? Her medicines were expensive and in high demand, but they were always worth their price. However, what most didn’t know was that Luo Qi Qi was more interested in crafting strange, unique poisons than healing medicines.

Since these people had chosen the wrong path, she figured they deserved to experience the full effects of her special potion!

Suddenly, Luo Qi Qi thought she heard voices.

She listened carefully. The two voices were speaking a broken version of Eastern Yan, an enemy language.

From the sound of it, they were complaining about their general, who hadn’t let them rest and had sent them to scout the area at night.

Luo Qi Qi casually picked up a stone from the roadside, and with a flick of her finger, sent it flying.

“Ah! Who’s there? Come out!” one of the men shouted angrily.

The other man jumped in shock, then slapped his companion on the head.

“Stop yelling. Who’s here? It’s pitch black—there’s no one around.”

“Hurry up and finish the patrol, we can go back to sleep soon. My eyes are about to close,” he muttered.

Luo Qi Qi let out a soft giggle. “Where are you going? How about you stay here instead?”

She then stepped out from the darkness.

Upon hearing a voice, the two soldiers immediately became alert. When they saw it was just a young woman, they burst out laughing.

“This is a rare sight in the middle of the night—running into a woman? Guess this trip wasn’t a total waste, haha…” one of them chuckled.

“Hey, hey, hey, dirty woman, if you’re smart, come over here and let us brothers have some fun. If you please us, maybe we’ll take you somewhere nice to eat and drink, eh?”

“Ha ha ha…”

The two men completely let their guard down.

As soon as the words left their mouths, one of them lunged at Luo Qi Qi, reaching out to grab her.

But before he could get close, Luo Qi Qi’s hand shot out, gripping his throat tightly.

With a soft squeeze, the man immediately stopped breathing.

Quick, clean, and efficient.

His wide eyes were the last thing he saw, and in his final moments, he never imagined that he would die at the hands of a woman.

The other man, seeing Luo Qi Qi was no easy target, turned and fled.

Luo Qi Qi wasn’t about to let him escape so easily.

With a sharp “thud,” the man collapsed to the ground after only running a few steps, lifeless.

Luo Qi Qi looked down at the silenced gun in her hand and smiled. Not bad!

This thing really works.

She was pleasantly surprised that there was such a useful item in her space.

As for her little invention, Luo Qi Qi felt quite pleased with herself.
