Chapter 7: Let Them “Laugh a Little Longer”

Fortunately, Luo Lao didn’t disappoint her.

“By the way, I found some medicine from Old Liu’s house. Take some before we continue,” Luo Lao said, recalling Luo Qi Qi’s health and becoming worried again.

“I’m fine now, Father. We can go,” Luo Qi Qi responded with a reassuring smile.

“I even knocked out those two people in the yard today. I still have plenty of strength,” Luo Qi Qi said, raising her arm and mimicking a punching motion.

Once Luo Lao had left, Luo Qi Qi slowly walked towards the three unconscious people.

“You all worked so hard to come to my house. I should at least show some gratitude, right? Otherwise, I’ll appear rude, wouldn’t I?”

Luo Qi Qi kicked the unconscious trio awake with a bright smile.

“Whimper… She’s a devil! That Luo Lao San deliberately led us here…” The two brothers instantly regretted going to Luo Qi Qi’s house.

After finishing with the medicine, Luo Qi Qi casually knocked them unconscious.

This sleep would last them until morning, leaving them no time to do anything before the full effect kicked in.

Once she was done, Luo Qi Qi couldn’t help but laugh to herself as she imagined their reactions by dawn.

The medicine she had given them was called “Laughing All the Way.” It was a concoction she had created when she was bored, but had never tested it on a person before. Now, it would be put to the test.

In the modern world, who didn’t know the name of Dr. Luo Qi Qi? Her medicines were expensive and in high demand, but they were always worth their price. However, what most didn’t know was that Luo Qi Qi was more interested in crafting strange, unique poisons than healing medicines.

Suddenly, Luo Qi Qi thought she heard voices.

She listened carefully. The two voices were speaking a broken version of Eastern Yan, an enemy language.

From the sound of it, they were complaining about their general, who hadn’t let them rest and had sent them to scout the area at night.

Luo Qi Qi casually picked up a stone from the roadside, and with a flick of her finger, sent it flying.

“Ah! Who’s there? Come out!” one of the men shouted angrily.

The other man jumped in shock, then slapped his companion on the head.

“Stop yelling. Who’s here? It’s pitch black—there’s no one around.”

“Hurry up and finish the patrol, we can go back to sleep soon. My eyes are about to close,” he muttered.

Luo Qi Qi let out a soft giggle. “Where are you going? How about you stay here instead?”

She then stepped out from the darkness.

Upon hearing a voice, the two soldiers immediately became alert. When they saw it was just a young woman, they burst out laughing.

“This is a rare sight in the middle of the night—running into a woman? Guess this trip wasn’t a total waste, haha…” one of them chuckled.

“Hey, hey, hey, dirty woman, if you’re smart, come over here and let us brothers have some fun. If you please us, maybe we’ll take you somewhere nice to eat and drink, eh?”

“Ha ha ha…”

The two men completely let their guard down.

As soon as the words left their mouths, one of them lunged at Luo Qi Qi, reaching out to grab her.

But before he could get close, Luo Qi Qi’s hand shot out, gripping his throat tightly.

With a soft squeeze, the man immediately stopped breathing.

Quick, clean, and efficient.

His wide eyes were the last thing he saw, and in his final moments, he never imagined that he would die at the hands of a woman.

The other man, seeing Luo Qi Qi was no easy target, turned and fled.

With a sharp “thud,” the man collapsed to the ground after only running a few steps, lifeless.

Luo Qi Qi looked down at the silenced gun in her hand and smiled. Not bad!

This thing really works.

She was pleasantly surprised that there was such a useful item in her space.

As for her little invention, Luo Qi Qi felt quite pleased with herself.
