Chapter 23
The boss laughed, put down the melon seeds in his hand and clapped his hands.
“It turns out he is an expert. I am just shortsighted.”
“As for the clothes, if the customer sees any flaws, I will naturally sell them at half the price.”
He walked over to Xu Leshu and took out the clothes with a smile: “The one you just took is three dollars and fifty cents for one piece. If you take five or more pieces, it’s two dollars and fifty cents. If you take fifteen or more pieces, it’s two dollars.”
“This dress costs ten dollars a piece, and the wholesale price is five dollars, but you need fifteen or more.”
“The more you take, the lower the price.”
Xu Leshu smiled, but the smile did not reach her eyes.
“Let me take another look.”
I visited several clothing stores and found that the prices were relatively cheaper.
But they all looked at her based on her situation. Since she was young and well-dressed, they thought she knew nothing and quoted a high price for her.
When he found out she was an expert, he smiled and quoted the normal price.
I just came out of a decoration store and there was a circle in the middle of the street.
“She must be having an attack. She looks so bad.”
“We’d better stay away from them. It would be very troublesome if we get blackmailed.”
“Just now this old lady was in a store looking at clothes like me, and she fell to the ground when she came out.”
Xu Leshu stood on the steps and looked through the gap. She saw an old lady with half-white hair lying on the ground. She closed her eyes and covered her chest. Her face was full of pain and she was breathing heavily.
A girl about her age was kneeling beside her, crying helplessly.
I wanted to help the old woman, but I was afraid of making her condition worse.
I could only look around helplessly and cry out loudly: “Please save my grandma, I beg you to save my grandma.”
“Can anyone save my grandma? Who has a car that can take us to the hospital? Please.”
People around them didn’t dare to act rashly, for fear that they would be blamed for anything that happened.
Seeing that the old man’s movements were getting more and more urgent, he was already in a coma.
It reminded her of her grandmother. That little old lady was the only one who cared about her in her previous life.
He also died of a sudden heart attack.
I squeezed into the crowd, squatted beside the old man, and looked at the girl with tears streaming down her face.
“Has your grandmother ever been ill before?”
Gu Qingqing shook her head with red eyes: “No, my grandma has always been in good health, but she has been feeling a little chest tightness and dizzy recently.”
“That’s why grandma asked me to take her out for a walk today. I didn’t expect… I didn’t expect it to turn out like this.”
Xu Leshu laid the old man flat, but he curled up in pain and refused to cooperate.
“Hold your grandmother’s hand to stop her from moving. I’ll give her a few injections to stabilize her heart and regulate her breathing.” (I wrote this randomly, don’t believe it.)
Gu Qingqing nodded absentmindedly. She did as she was told and pressed her grandmother’s arm.
Xu Leshu took out a set of silver needles from her bag, opened it, took out one and stuck it into the top of the old man’s head to stimulate blood circulation.
Then he took out a few more and inserted them into various acupuncture points.
People around were talking about it when they saw a little girl dared to prick people with a needle.
“You are such a brave little girl. It would be terrible if you stab someone to death.”
Someone was just watching the fun and said, “Little girl, just let a girl your own age give your grandmother an acupuncture injection. If your grandmother dies from the acupuncture injection, you will regret it.”
“Yes, she’s still in high school, she’s definitely not a doctor, tell her to stop.”
“Shut up.” Gu Qingqing yelled at the people around her.
“If you don’t want to save her, then don’t say such curse words. If anything happens to my grandma, my Gu family will not forgive you.”
“Xiaoshu, what happened?”
Niu Fen parked the car and looked for her, but he didn’t expect to see this scene.
Xu Leshu was taking Niu Fen’s pulse attentively, and when she saw him coming, she hurriedly urged him on.
“Brother Niu Fen, drive the car over here and take them to the hospital, quickly.”
Niu Fen glanced at the old man lying in pain on the ground, nodded, and quickly ran outside.
Xu Leshu frowned and looked around: “You are too close, please move away. The patient needs to breathe fresh air.”
Seeing that they didn’t move, he continued to look at them as if he was watching a show.
The voice could not help but get louder: “Are we monkeys? You are watching so enthusiastically. If anything happens to the patient, you will be accomplices.”
“Hey, don’t scare us, girl. We are just standing there and doing nothing.”
Having said that, he still stepped back a little.
“Xiaoshu, the car is coming.”
Xu Leshu stood up and looked at him: “Brother Niu Fen, please help lift the person into the car and take him to the hospital.”
“Don’t worry, I have stabilized her heart pulse. She is not in danger in the short term.”
Niu Fen nodded and lifted the old man’s shoulders, while Gu Qingqing and Xu Leshu each lifted one foot.
The people around them quickly made way for them.
After the car drove away, someone in the crowd said, “You know what, the old man looks better.”
The door of the conference room on the third floor of the government building opened, and Zhang Quan, who was waiting anxiously outside, walked upstream to Gu Shaoqing.
“The old lady suddenly fell ill on the street and is now in the hospital undergoing surgery.”
Gu Shaoqing’s gentle expression suddenly changed: “Prepare the car to go to the hospital.” He quickened his pace and walked downstairs, and then he jogged.
“The car is already outside. I have called the vice president of the hospital and he will examine the old lady himself.”
Sit on the stool outside the operating room and relax your body.
Only then did Xu Leshu realize that her face and neck were covered in sweat, and her back was also wet.
I was a little impulsive just now. This is the first time in my life.
In her previous life, she had always performed acupuncture on props. Just now, she was so focused on saving people that she didn’t pay attention. Only now did she feel her hands trembling slightly.
I’ve exerted too much energy, and now that my mind is relaxed, I feel a little tired.
She relaxed her back against the wall and side-looked at the operating room, hoping that her rescue would be helpful.
Otherwise, as a student without a medical qualification certificate, if the old man’s family sued her, she would not be able to escape.
Looking at the girl opposite with red eyes and a worried face, she was walking back and forth anxiously, her eyes always staring at the other side of the corridor, as if she was waiting for someone.
The sound of hurried footsteps came closer and closer. Gu Qingqing’s helpless expression suddenly brightened and tears slowly flowed down again.
“Brother, grandma…”
Xu Leshu turned her head and saw a man in his twenties, wearing a black suit and a pair of rimless glasses.
Because he was jogging in a hurry, his hair was a little messy due to the wind.
His facial features are three-dimensional and he is very good-looking.
But his temperament is a bit like that of an old cadre. Although he is handsome, he is not Xu Leshu’s type.
When Gu Shaoqing saw Xu Leshu, his eyes paused on her, then moved away imperceptibly.
He looked down at his sister who was in his arms, then pulled her away and stood up.
He reached out and rubbed her head to comfort her: “Don’t cry, tell me slowly, what’s wrong, grandma?”
Gu Qingqing hiccuped and wiped the tears from her face.
