“No way!”
Song Kexing leaned back on the couch, not moving an inch.
After beating up too many people this afternoon, she was honestly a little exhausted and just wanted to rest.
As for the people in front of her, they had plenty of time to torture her.
“What did you say?! I won’t say it a second time—if you don’t listen, I will make you regret it!”
Song Yun was utterly confused.
Her usually obedient daughter, who always followed her commands, suddenly became so bold.
Not only did she dare to disobey him, but she even scolded him.
Could it be that the events that happened this afternoon had caused her to snap?
It wasn’t out of the question.
After all, her face had been disfigured, and it was normal for her emotions to be heightened.
But no matter what, he was her father, and no one could challenge his authority!
“If you don’t want to work, then get out of this house!”
In the past, Song Yun would use this threat to scare his daughter, and it always worked.
But this time…
Song Kexing stood up and said, “Then I’ll leave?”
“Hey, don’t!” Her stepmother, He Ling, hurriedly intervened, trying to stop her.
“Kexing, your dad was just angry. Don’t take it to heart. You’ve been hurt today; you should rest. I’ll make dinner and call you when it’s ready.”
In the coming days, they’d need Song Kexing to send meals and help out.
They couldn’t afford to chase her away—who else would do the work?
Once they left, it would be just her, alone in the empty house. That was when she’d truly feel lonely.
“Chengye, you go back to your room and pack. Also, check on Fubao to see if it needs any help.”
They were moving to the basement tonight, so there were many things to sort out.
Song Yun stood there with a dark face, his anger simmering inside.
Finally, after his wife persuaded him gently, he angrily retreated to his room.
Song Kexing watched the whole thing, mocking him in her mind.
It wasn’t even that big of a deal, but the scumbag was this angry just because she refused to work.
If he couldn’t handle this, how would he survive in the next few days?
The Song family lived in a two-story villa, with Song Yun and his stepmother living upstairs.
Song Kexing lived downstairs in the servant’s room, which was next to a storage room.
Yes, the place she lived in was even worse than the servants’ quarters.
The two servants had long been dismissed by her stepmother, and the room had been left empty ever since.
Song Kexing packed a few clothes and personal items and moved in.
Once everything was settled, she entered the space.
After working hard for an afternoon, she was feeling a bit hungry.
Fortunately, the space had ready-made dishes, which had been ordered from a five-star hotel.
When they were placed in the space, they were still piping hot, and they looked exactly the same when taken out—no change at all.
Since she started drinking the spiritual spring water, her appetite had grown a lot.
For tonight’s dinner, Song Kexing specifically chose dishes with large portions.
Peking duck, garlic vermicelli shrimp and crab casserole, clear soup bird’s nest, and stir-fried vegetables.
The Peking duck was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a rich meat flavor.
One bite, and her mouth was filled with the aroma of roasted duck.
Song Kexing elegantly cut the duck into small pieces with a knife and fork, her graceful neck exposed, enjoying the meal with poise.
In stark contrast was the little furball, Maruko.
The little guy, chubby and with greasy hands, was holding a golden, crispy duck leg in one hand and a duck wing in the other.
He was eating like there was no tomorrow, with sauce smeared all over his face.
Seeing this, Song Kexing couldn’t help but chuckle and handed him two wet wipes to clean his mouth.
Song Kexing: [Slow down, no one is going to steal it from you.]
Maruko: [Mmmmmm!]
The little guy chewed on the meat, nodding like a chick pecking at rice, soft and adorable.
Song Kexing scooped out half a bowl of soup for him, [Drink some soup.]
Maruko immediately put down the food in his hands, grabbed the bowl, and gulped it down.
Gulp, gulp, and then a delighted exclamation:
[Big big, what kind of soup is this? It’s so delicious! Ahhh!]
Song Kexing: [This is clear bird’s nest soup, made with bird’s nest and various ingredients. It’s delicious and highly nutritious.]
[Oh oh!] Maruko didn’t quite understand, but he lowered his head and continued to eat eagerly.
Song Kexing smiled and shook her head, then spooned some soup for herself, taking a gentle sip.
Her eyes immediately lit up.
The taste was rich and sweet, refreshing, and lived up to its reputation.
Song Kexing’s gaze shifted to the garlic vermicelli shrimp and crab casserole on the table.
The garlic was fragrant, and the vermicelli soaked up the broth. It was topped with fresh shrimp and crab.
The shrimp and crab were fresh, the vermicelli spicy, and each bite was a delightful experience.
This time, Song Kexing didn’t hold back, slurping the vermicelli without worrying about her image.
Maruko followed suit, enthusiastically slurping away.
Both of them ate to their hearts’ content.
After finishing the dishes, they had some vegetables to get their vitamins.
By the end of the meal, both were completely satisfied.
[Hehe… Big big… I feel so happy!]
Maruko patted its round belly, its eyes squinting into crescent moons.
Since it followed Master, its life had been on the rise.
It drank sweet spiritual spring water every day and had all kinds of delicious food served to it.
This little life was indeed blissful~
Song Kexing smiled and rubbed its rabbit ears, saying nothing.
She also quite liked this peaceful life in the space.
Unfortunately, she couldn’t stay here forever—there were still tasks to be done.
After the meal, Song Kexing took Maruko for a walk in the space.
Once they had digested their food, she went to the study to study for a while.
In the therapy center, she had met an academic big shot who had vast knowledge on various subjects.
Song Kexing loved learning and reading books.
It was only in a quiet environment that her heart found peace and fulfillment.
After studying, she went to the yard to practice martial arts.
This was something she had to do every day.
Even with the spiritual spring water backing her up, she still wanted to improve her combat strength.
Only by becoming stronger would she not fear any challenges.
Song Kexing practiced for three full hours in the yard.
After tearing away her disguise, her face was stunningly beautiful.
Sweat clung to her skin, making her look like a rose in the morning, delicate and captivating.
Song Kexing loved soaking in a bath and getting a massage after exercising.
The luxurious 1.8-meter massage bathtub was the perfect place to relax.
Maruko thoughtfully brought her a glass of red wine and a plate of fruit.
In the misty atmosphere, the girl lazily leaned back in the tub, her fair hand holding a glass of vibrant red wine.
With her chin slightly lifted and her crimson lips lightly sipping, she exuded ultimate allure.
Shaa, shaa! So fragrant!
Maruko, peeking from the corner, was utterly captivated.
Seeing this beautiful scene, it couldn’t help but drool.
Song Kexing glanced at it casually and gently swirled her wine glass.
As the red hue swirled in circles, she smiled.
Little one, you’re lucky you’re a female pet.
Otherwise, I’d break your legs.
